Need A/C On In Summer… We came back for some drinks after first coming in May, nice bar set up and all,.but same as the warm day in May inside the place was stuffy and hot, no one did anything when we asked about it … wouldn’t come back if it’s a warm day again, otherwise pretty good place!

This is my first time in since they revamped the restaurant and the menu! It was a great night out with the girls! We had the Greek salad, the fish tacos, and the baked schrod. It was all very good! It was also trivia night and it was packed. Great atmosphere.

Me and my boyfriend are«regulars» there since they redid it. Before it was stuffy and outdated as well I found the food to be inconsistent, now it’s more open the food has been great every time! If you haven’t checked out the«new jamies» you’re missing out!!! *** tip go on Tuesday night for the tacos!!!

Dont let the collective 2.5 stars fool ya. If you’ve ever been to Grumpy Whites in Quincy this place is quite similar: a bar area for the locals, KENO and solid yet unspectacular food. The beer selection was to my surprise outstanding. Very kid friendly, a happy friendly staff and an overall good meal. The food wasn’t perfect but it surprised me to the upside(based on the poor reviews). We will revisit for sure.

I’ve lived on the shore shore for a few years not, I’ve drove my Jamie’s Grill countless times and finally decided to stop in for dinner. Nice atmosphere, decent size bar area as well as as dining area to sit– family friendly. Moderately priced food and drinks! Great Music I went on a Thursday and they had trivia.

After 2 recent experiences here, I am honestly shocked that it has gotten low marks from other patrons. I read the Unilocal reviews after the renovation and name change and they were low… But I enjoyed the old Jamie’s, so I was curious to make a decision for myself and decided to try it anyway. Both times I went for lunch with my husband and little son who is almost 3. First of all the renovation is very nice and really classes up the place. It’s a cool neighborhood bar with a «not too nightlife» vibe that doesn’t exclude it as a family restaurant. Lots of big screens for sports fans and Keno just for fun. I never indulge in Keno except for when I eat at Jamie’s and this is the second time I’ve won $ 100. Doesn’t hurt that it’s my birthday. Ok FOOD. Delicious Seafood Chowder, a tower of onion rings just slightly beer battered, steak tips with broccoli, and a Beet salad with goat cheese and mandarin oranges and candied walnuts was what we ordered. I split the soup with my little boy. The server cheerfully gave us 2 cups to split. My son couldn’t eat it fast enough and I thoroughly enjoyed mine too. I was excited and pleased to find a kids steak tip meal as an option with fresh vegetables(as opposed to the usual fried kids fare of chicken nuggets fries or a fatty grilled cheese.) My son ate every bite of broccoli and steak. My salad was fabulous. Huge portions. My husband’s sandwich was a pastrami melt which he said was very good. Now to the service. Some restaurants will give you an attitude the second a toddler walks in the door. The hostess and servers were so friendly both visits and obviously used to accomadating kids. I didn’t have to ask for lots of extra napkins and I didn’t have to apologize for a couple spills. My son is pretty good as toddlers go in restaurants but kids are messy in general and plenty of times a toddler will get you eye rolls from the staff and stuck in the furthest corner of the place. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful here and anticipated a parent’s needs. And by the way. CLEAN! Whole Restaurant, even the bathroom. Clean, fresh, smelled nice with a nice sturdy diaper change fold-down thing. Go here.

Service is slow, bathrooms are ok if you like to drip dry and not flush a toilet. Foods ok though

I’m writing this review because I’ve been going to Jamie’s on and off for 14 years now, since I moved to Braintree. It is within walking distance of my home, and I would frequent it more if the service were better. Before upgrading the menu(just slightly) and the atmosphere(knocking down the wall and just having one open room with a bar in the middle), I went there on and off. I never really had a problem with the food. The food was always good, decent food, a lot of it comfort-type food, and they also had the smaller, half-portions you could purchase. But, what always ended up getting me really irritated, particularly on a weeknight, when I had to get up early the next day for work, was how slow the service is. The service situation just never seems to improve. Went the other night — against my better instincts — just hoping and praying that the service would be better, but it wasn’t. Very slow. Never know whether the kitchen is slow or they just don’t have enough wait staff. Jamie’s, I’m writing this as marketing professional to help you. You are a neighborhood, local place and I want to help you. Redecorating and your slightly more updated/modern menu is not going to help you if you can’t improve your service times. Your food is good, and the new atmosphere is nice, if you would just tackle and improve the service issue, I would visit more frequently. Also, I often find it very cold(temperature-wise) at your restaurant. That, and the service should be addressed. I wish you the best of luck. Truly, I want you to be successful!

Best wings around. You have to get a special order of BBQ sauce and buffalo mixed together on the boneless wings. Bartenders are great people. Great place!

We went here Pre Unilocal(before 2009) and hadn’t been back since, ended up here by chance. The Greek wrap was excellent with cucumbers and olives. The fries came out hot. The pickle was a real half sour; I hate neon green pickles. There was alot of real turkey in her sandwich. So, I thought some of the entrée prices were a little high for a pub sort of place, but I didn’t order those, and the sandwich was only $ 8.99, so yes indeed I would go back.

I liked the décor, I had never been to it before it was renovated but my boyfriend had and said it was an improvement. The service at the bar was incredibly slow, only one bartender on Christmas eve during the day. The poutine fries were good, but the sicilian«gourmet grilled» pizza was not good at all. The menu says, «Fresh pizza dough hand stretched» but the pizza was so thin and crispy it tasted like a flavorless wheat thin. It didn’t taste/look like it was fresh or hand stretched. Might give it another try, definitely avoid the pizza though. There’s better places to get bar pizza in the area.

5pm on a Friday and still 8 open seats at the bar and only 6 seated tables. And yet, the bar staff appear both too bored and too busy at the same time to notice my attempts to get their attention for another drink. And now I know why… When she does finally ask if I would like another drink, she takes my glass which is not empty, adds a little more ice to my diluted leftovers, and then tops it off with mostly soda while keeping her finger ½ over the spout of the vodka. Another $ 8 charge for a sniffer glass of mostly melted and diluted old drink. Really? Food was pretty good

New décor is open and friendly. Food was delightful. Service was prompt and attentive Didn’t give it a 5 yet because I’d like to try some more of their food. I admit though, I’m going back.

Went out with the wife for a couple appetizers and drinks. Onion soup was great. The nachos were awful they cook the nachos themselves and they must’ve been sitting around for a while there was served cold with a very minimal amount of cheese. We asked for the chili on the side so the nachos wouldn’t get soggy in the chili was very good also. My wife asked for a glass of red wine and ended up not liking it when she asked the bartender if she could get a different kind she took the one that she didn’t like dumped in the sink and told us that was a waste. Needless to say I live about a mile away and I will not go back.

Jamie’s used to be a twice a month excursion due to its proximity and relatively good value. Conversely, the Grill 63 is all show and no go… clearly management decided to maximize alcohol sales and food has become a decided afterthought. Walking in I found the pub packed with a raucous, hard drinking crowd who prior to this visit, I thought indigenous only to the cellar bars of fraternal organizations. The remodel has the interior partitions taken down. Though architecturally pleasing, the noise levels coming from the bar were a frequent distraction and made dining room conversation near impossible. The cutlery provided was unworthy of even the lowliest yard sale. It appeared amateurishly constructed from some 3rd world sweat shop. The menu remained relatively intact with 2 – 3 dollar across the board price increases. There were no longer half orders and the complimentary bread basket had been also eliminated. My partner ordered a plain pizza and I scallops. Neither were remarkable and were left half finished. The only positive note was our server. She was upbeat and attentive.

Jamie’s used to be one of our«go to» places. Not anymore. They did some remodeling inside and it does look a lot better. Food Prices have gone up, and value has gone down. Bread basket was automatic before. Now it’s on request. Sandwiches used to come with fries and cole slaw, now for a higher price, you get fries or slaw… and by the way the fries are not so good… AND they look horrible on the plate, as though the fryolater grease has not been changed in months. I also believe the menu selections have shrunk. They don’t even offer a club sandwich anymore. I won’t be back.

The renovation came out great. Finally a local restaurant and pub you are not ashamed to be in. The food is terrible. How can you mess up pub food? We want you to fix it! Come on you spent all that money to fix the place up and the food went south. We have really really tried and can honestly say we give up. When you serve salsa and chips with stale chips and salsa on the same plate, no bowl for the salsa… soggy gross mess. Unfortunately that was one of the better dishes. Sorry. You can turn it around.

I had never been to Jamie’s pre-renovation, but upon entering the place, I was impressed by the open, light and airy space. The bar seems a little large, but that said, it was great to be able to easily plop down at the bar and start ordering. The beer selection is solid and the food selection is typical American bar fare. We had no complaints with our orders and between four of us, we tried a variety of salads and sandwiches. This is a solid option for watching a game or grabbing an easy meal with a group.
