Since my previous review, they’ve moved next door into a bigger space. Really well designed, more seating, same great food. Love this place!

I’m a big fan of the scallop and bacon pizza. I think its the only thing I’ve ever ordered off their menu. There are other pizza places more convenient for me, but once in awhile I get a craving for one, and have to make the trip… nice clean place with friendly service

Horrible food and service! The food was so bad that I could not finish. Beef stew was gray in color. Extremely creepy atmosphere. Couldn’t wait to leave. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Try the wings! What a great little place to find in Connecticut! Was driving out of town and decided that we wanted wings for lunch. It’s very difficult to find wings in this area at a decent price. We went to several places and the wings were small and twice the price that I’m used to paying. The restaurant was clean and well laid out, look like new furniture. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable. If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely stop by.

We stopped in to Stonington Pizza Palace after spending the day in nearby Watch Hill, RI. Since we were famished by the end of our trip, we were looking for a place that was quick, easy, and close, with good reviews on Unilocal. We arrived just after 4pm on a mid week afternoon and we were among the first customers in the door. My daughter ordered the shrimp scampi, my son had the cheese pizza, and my wife and I split a large Mediterranean pizza with chicken. Our server informed us that this was Greek pizza, and not the traditional Italian pizza. We were fine with this, since we love Greek pizza. The orders came out after the requisite 20 min or so wait. As many other food reviewers have said, the key to an excellent meal is fresh ingredients. Our dishes had this in abundance. Our Mediterranean pizza was overflowing with fresh basil, garlic, feta cheese, and tomatoes. It was outstanding. The shrimp in my daughter’s scampi dish were fresh and tender, and the accompanying pasta was cooked to perfection. Even my son’s plain cheese pizza was tasty. All in all, we enjoyed a savoy meal with attentive service, all within a few miles of the many scenic Watch Hill. It’s worth the trip! :)

I re-visited the Stonington Pizza Palace while here visiting my in-laws and found a newly remodeled and expanded restaurant. The place looks great. However, my original 2-star review was based on their subs. I have revised and moved my rating to 4-stars as my experience was much better this time. Maybe I caught them on a bad day last time. The meatball sub was very good. Great meatball flavor, good roll and toasted to perfection. Well done!

Great family spot. Cozy, great subs, pasta and fresh salads. Kids love the pizza, we all love fiery chicken fingers, friendly service. Always great beer and wine selection. Not your average pizza place but still fairly priced.

I love the eggplant grinder that is served hot with melted cheese, mushrooms and red peppers. The large is enough for 2.

Best Lobster Rolls in town! Recently we had the pleasure of dining here. My husband enjoyed a scallop pasta dish that was absolutely magnificent. I changed it up and tried their lobster roll special. I had it over field of greens rather than in a roll. I was shocked! The very large chunks had just enough added to hold it together and the seasonings were very subtle. The combination was perfect. There are no fillers accompanying this huge, unmatched portion. It is NOT just the town’s favorite pizza any more!

A nice local pizza joint. The Pizza Palace is a typical local pizza joint. Six tables for dining in, friendly staff and a menu pretty much limited to pizza and salads. The pizza is good, crisp crust, lots of toppings. Selections aren’t exotic, but they are good. A limited selection of wine and beer is available to wash it down. While I will most likely come back here, I don’t think it will wind up as my favorite in the neighborhood.

Moussaka pizza anyone? This is the place. Plus delicious, juicy baklava, moist stuffed grape leaves, Greek salad that’s truly greek. Oh yeah, and the pizza! yum. –that was just takeout. eating in looks good too, especially for watching a game.

$ 18.95 will get you the best(cold) lobster roll around. Not only is Stonington Pizza’s lobster roll tasty but it’s big enough for 2 people. It’s not on some stale old hot dog bun either. If my phone hadn’t been dead I would’ve taken a picture to prove it! For this distinction I believe they earn 5 stars. Their buffalo wings are passable. They only come in buffalo & are meaty but not too sausy at all. They’re not amazing but will do the trick. And they have pizza too! I’ve only had their cheese & «special» which are both pretty good. They don’t overdo it with the ingredients but it’s super tasty & unlike the other pizza in the area. It’s a bit cramped inside. There’s a bar area on one side & booths on the other. The booths can’t fit more than 4 people comfortably so if you’re a larger group you’re SOL. Either way I’d recommend Stonington Pizza Palace for their lobster roll alone!

Their subs are amazing, especially the Italian… my daughter and I had a pizza there recently and that was quite good too. Highly recommended. The staff is super nice and the food is good and well priced.

I have grown up eating their grinders and pizza and to this day I have never had a better grinder anywhere else. Their bread is what does the trick! I think it comes from a local bakery that serves SECT which really give their grinders their character. Soft, yet crispy when toasted its perfect! A trip back to CT isn’t complete without a stop here! Anything on the menu here you can’t go wrong with. Their meatball and regular(genoa) are my two favorites grinders. Their pizza I find is what truly sets this place apart… The Scallop and Bacon Pizza – local Bomsters scallops, a garlic lemon sauce, scallions, and crispy never soggy bacon = melt in mouth perfection. Order the small, the ratio of sauce is much better in comparison to the large. I frequently on my way back to Boston, pick up one and reheat in the oven for lunch/dinner the next day! Not to mention a trip to Sandy Point isn’t complete without a large regular with oil and vinegar, a bag of salt and vinegar chips and drink. Perfect summer beach lunch!
