Restaurant At The Inn At Stone Ridge

My wife and I had a pleasant dining experience. Cozy, charming, relaxed atmosphere. Waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. The floor man kept our water glasses filled and brought us everything else we needed. The food was definitely top-​notch.

I really liked this place. Its very quaint. We sat in the bar with our meal and drinks. We looked around the dinning area and it was very nice and clean. We were not in the mood for anything that fancy, so the bar with a beer and meal it was. I ordered a burger and fries as did my 2 friends. My wife ordered the quasdadilla’s. We all agreed that the burgers were very good. The fries were also very tasty. I wanted my burger with blue cheese but they were out but the chef makes is own fresh blue cheese dressing so I had mine with the dressing. It was good. Although I would have preferred fresh blue cheese. The beer selection was OK. Would have been better to have some local beers on tap or an IPA. but no complaints. Just would have been better. My wifes quasdadilla was good. the food was plentyful and the prices are not outrages. Worth a stop by again on one of our travel around day.

Don’t let the physical charm of the inn and the restaurant fool you, the food at this restaurant is awful. There were only two of us and we both ordered the same thing so I can’t claim to have sampled a broad range of dishes. What I did try was the asparagus soup, which started as a lovely silky purée but which was ruined by a huge dollop of chopped black olives, and an almond crusted trout special which was both under seasoned and over cooked. For $ 30 I expected more than a tired tasteless piece of fish.
Additionally, the waiter neglected to tell us about two other specials that were on the menu. When I asked him why we hadn’t been told I got plenty of attitude but no real explanation. Over priced bad food coupled with a surly waiter did not amount to a pleasant dinning experience.
