Hands down the most consistent and authentic Caribbean food in the area. Love the food. The fish, curry dishes are awesome. Portion sizes are on point. Enjoy!!!

The person that took my order was friendly but over all i would say it was disappointing. The reviews were good so my friend and i decided to try it. I ordered the jerk chicken, rice and pees and cabbage. The rice and pees were pretty good but everything else was extremely oily and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. We had to put teriyaki sauce on it when we got home to try to save it. After we finished, the take out box was filled will oil that sank to the bottom. Way too much oil… i wont be going back.

Great West Indies food. I order the stew fish… FAIL… fish over cooked. Fish was cooked the night before and microwave. The peas and rice was mostly rice it too was microwave. My husband enjoyed his oxtail and brown chicken but agree with me on the rice. The fried plantain was microwave and rubbery. We were just back in Virgin island two weeks ago so maybe we are a little bias. We drove 30 minutes to this location from our hotel room for over cooked food. I could not recommend this place.

I have been to many Jamaican restaurants around the city and have been sorely disappointed. There are only two Jamaican restaurants that I really love and can count on for a delicious and satisfying meal everytime. Sunshine is one of them. It is a smaller restaurant that is bright and cheery with sounds of Reggae coming out the speakers at the perfect volume. The lady who works the counter, whose name I have forgotten, is kind, proficient and consistent. I see her each time I come in and she gets warmer every time. I remember one night I came in very close to closing, and they were out of a dish I had my mouth set for, so I went down the street to my other favorite spot and they were out of it too. So I drove back to Sunshine and arrived to locked doors. She came to the door and kindly let me in and offered what they had left, which was some Jerk Wings&Rice. It was very delicious! That became one of my favorite meals there along with their Oxtails, Stew Chicken and Curry Chicken. The Curry Chicken is SUPER tender and delicious! And the Oxtails are on the smaller side but they are very tasty! The Patties are delicious as well. I like to add Coco Bread and a piece of Carrot Cake to complete my meal.
They are a great spot, customer service is on point, the food is good and the prices are right. I especially love that they have Combo Plates so you can get a taste of a couple of things of your choosing.
They also have a rewards program that you can sign up for where you get points for every dollar you spend. 200 points equals $ 10 off your next visit. It’s free to sign up and they will instantly send you a $ 5 off your next visit coupon in the mail. I received it and used it last visit. I like when restaurants reward you for your loyalty.
Sunshine is really worth checking out. I highly recommend them!

Just about the only island place i will eat at around here. Love the food and service.

Omg! I love this place. I always get a large plate as opposed to the small because it makes two servings. Everything here is good. My favorite is the jerk chicken dinner which like all the dinners come with salad or cabbage, sweet plantains, and peas n rice. The jerk is really jerk, so if you can’t handle spice… stick with the stew chicken or oxtails. They have beef, chicken, and vegetable patties, but those sell out before 5p. The homemade punch is good, and so are the deserts and coco bread. I’m not a fan of eating in the restaurant, but the score is high enough to order for take –out. They also have fliers for carribean events that occur in the city for those interested.

Their food is always hot and flavorful. This is the only Jamaican restaurant I ever come to. Their beef patties and their carrot juice is my favorite! It’s always clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is fast! I love them!

Dont get fooled by the simplicity of the settings. The food here is honest, no frills, hands down the best jamaican authentic restaurant in ATL.
I was pointed here by a native to the famous island, and was no disappointed. The jerked chicken is bursting with flavor and so fresh I came back to order some more to go and they told me ‘no more’ (maybe they were just keeping the Lions of Judah share?).
Will come back when the kids are stuck at home and screaming for some steam off– its 8 min away frim Stone Mountain Park

The food is so good. Some of the best in the area. King fish, oxtail, and the jerk chicken all amazing. The service is also really good.

This place is closest I have had to the real thing… The curry chicken is always juicy with just the right amount of spicy… The red pea soup is sooooo good… They run out of certain dishes really quickly on the weekends so order early and take it to go if you plan on grabbing something for dinner…

Yummy. Next time I hope to ve brave enough to try the goat. Bur the curried chicken was fall-​off-​the-​bone tender and delicious. Can’t wait to go back.

This was my time having Curry Goat. The young lady at the register was very helpful. The food was excellent. I enjoyed the food, and also the service.

The best!!! Straight from Montego Bay. The only place I go. The combo curry goat and Ox tail is the bomb!!! They give u ur money worth. The jerk chicken is the business. You won’t be disappointed.
