I can not begin to explain how hurt, and disappointed I am about paying $ 17 for 2 dinners that was flavorless, under seasoned and not fulfilling at all what’s so ever. I should have followed my gut feeling and turned around and walk back out that door before I was greeted. My husband and I ordered the baked chicken dinner that came with 2 sides. I had green beans and mac and cheese and he had green beans and black eye peas. We feel like we got bamboozled. This was by far thee worst southern restaurant I have ever tasted, ever! Just thinking about it now makes me up set. What kept us in the line was the fact that the serving lady was very nice to us… it was a distraction that worked, because we paid our money for something that was terrible. Never again will we go here again. I definitely do not recommend this place at all… to make matters worst they were graded a C(74). We just knew it was going to be bad once we saw that walking out the door.

Um, No. The only non-pork option was chicken baked or fried. So fried chicken should be good at a soul food spot, right? Wrong. Salty and over-seasoned. The side choices were limited too. Had to settle for mac & cheese and black eyed peas. The mac & itty-bitty bits of cheese was dry and flavorless. The peas were watery and flavorless too. The blandness of the sides helped balance the salty fried chicken. The corn bread comes out from underneath the counter not anywhere near the food(totally weird and suspicious). And the corn bread was cold. Not warm. Cold and hard. The peach cobbler was ok. Hard to get it wrong but the crust managed to be undercooked in some bites… and was overall just wrong. Service wasnt friendly and they were visibly disturbed at having customers. The price was too high for the quality of the food. If youre desperate then go here otherwise drive a little further and save yourself.

I’ve been eating here since they’ve opened. I love the smothered turkey wings. You always get a lot of food and it’s reasonably priced. A must if you’re craving true southern home cooking!

I finally made it over there because of the awesome reviews… may I say that I was not disappointed at all. Everything was great… I had the turkey wings, mac & cheese, greens, dressing and yams!!! DELISH! I had enough to share with my daughter.!! I’ve been in the metro Atlanta area since 97 and this is the closest to one of my hometown(Buffalo, NY) favorite spots called Gigi’s!!!

Their food make u wanna pat your feet and slap your mama. I mean that’s how good and delicious this food is. I LOVE their peach cobbler. When I’m on this side of town I try and stop by every chance I get.

The food is good. So that no other reviewer states they can’t find the hours or place, I’ve included their flyer with all their information.

Their hours not listed. I called and there was a recording But it didn’t have days/hours of operation so I didn’t know if they were just busy it closed. When we got there the lights were off and weeds growing in gutter so my husband said oh this place must have been closed for years… went to Boston market

I will definitely return. The outside of the restaurant was not eye appealing to me. The inside was surprisingly clean, didn’t smell, and inviting. They played gospel music which is not a problem. I ordered baked chicken, mac and cheese, and cabbage. The chicken and cabbage were excellent! The mac and cheese was not terrible but certainly worth not getting again. It seemed like box macaroni pasta with cheese melted on top.

Good food for great value; smothered pork chops were good as well as Mac & cheese and collard greens. The white rice was a little soggy; it could have been more firm. Come early so you get fresh, out of the oven food! Service was good. Sweet tea is good. Not giving 5 star review because of soggy rice and appearance of some food which looked a little old or had been sitting out a while.

I went to this place yesterday with my family and I was pleasantly surprised. I got the King’s Daily Delight which is one meat, one side and cornbread for $ 4.99 so I got a smothered pork chop over rice. It was one porkchop but it was a big portion. My mom got the ribs, black eye peas and cornbread. My sister got the turkey wings. Everything was really delicious! And the lemonade was to die for!!! The downside is the cashier which I think was the owners son was a little attitudish and we all had to ask for the cornbread which is next to the register and they did not have any sweet tea and said it would be over 30 minutes to make some more. Overall the taste of the food will have me going back frequently.

Decent. I tried the turkey wings. A little tough and bland. The dressing and candid yams were good. The lemonade was simply something to wet my throat, I don’t recall it having a lemon flavor.

I was very disappointed to travel here in hopes of a late soul food breakfast only to be told there was no more grits, eggs or bacon. Your breakfast options were sausage only. Really? As for other options at 10:45a, there were mac n cheese, turkey wings and a meat that resembles spare ribs. Perhaps there is a little transition between breakfast and lunch but one would think the cooks can fry an egg and not infer that there are«sold out»! Lol. My experience was disappointing to say the least. Anyways, my brother loves the place so I could have caught them at a bad time.

I came here once before they were under new management months ago and they had some of the best ribs that you could buy from a restaurant… almost cookout quality from a cook that knew what they were doing! Decided to give this place a shot again on Sunday. The first mistake is the windows to the restaurant are tinted, so you can’t tell how crowded it is. I went inside and the line must have been 30 people deep! A testament to their good food? Perhaps. Did I brave the line to try out another plate for myself? Not a chance! They have to be doing something right since this place is packed, and hopefully i’ll be able to report actual food findings. Just avoid going on sundays at all costs
