Surprisingly the food was good but you know as with many West Indian restaurant you get the hurried look of ’ wah you want’ lol. I took a long time ordering because I couldn’t make up my mind. I finally decided on the oxtail meal. It was delicious!!!

Good food, efficient service and hefty servings make this Caribbean spot a great choice. Plenty of entrée choices, fresh juices, patties and baked goods make it easy to pick up food for the family. The health inspection score is consistently 90+ which will also put your mind at ease.

I think this will be my last time going to this one. I prefer the one on Old National simply because I feel I get my money’s worth there. This was my second time going & basically I feel I paid $ 10 for rice&peas & bones! I got the curry goat with little meat. I wasn’t planning to stop here in the first place but I came all the way over to that side & the place I wanted wasn’t open so I decided to give this place another try. I will say the flavor of the curry goat was good but I wouldn’t do people like that. I understand some bones but not more bones than meat. I also had the bun & cheese with barely any cheese. I was just disappointed again.

OMG!!! Why go anywhere else!!! Their food is fresh and authentic. I would never go to any other location or eat anywhere else that sells Jamaican food. Plus, their health score is always high and no major issues. On Friday and Saturdays they even have checheme /hominy porridge!!! Their fruit juices are delicious strong and sweet. I can’t find anything bad to say except loose the mixed veggies in the cabbage. It absolutely does nothing for the cabbage. I rather plain cabbage. Anyway, I would highly recommend this place!

Melanie W. Well i’m not one of those who leave reviews but I had to leave one because I haven’t eaten at this location since 2014 and I see why I had ordered a large Oxtails dinner that includes rice and peas, cabbage and plantain, and jerk chicken wings with a order of plantains well the plantains was so greasy and it tasted old the rice and peas was old and don’t let me get started on the oxtail that was burnt the only thing that was decent was the jerk chicken. My family and I was so disappointed to we just threw the food away because I had driven so far away till it wasn’t even feasible to return to take it back so we had to eat left overs that was in the frig, my family and I don’t eat out all the time so this was heart breaking. Ok this is not the one. Yesterday was the first time I ate here and normally I don’t leave reviews but I had to. I ordered the rotti and jerk chicken with rice and peas. At first I wanted the curry chicken with the rotti but they ran out. Anyway the rotti was hard and it’s supposed to be soft and fluffy, there was no gravy and the meat was dry and cold. But that’s not the worst part I try to eat the middle part of the rotti because it’s a little softer and I pulled a hair out of the rotti that was cooked into the dough. It almost made me sick. I would have went back up there and said something but I had knee surgery a week ago so I can’t drive and someone went for me to get it. If I was you I wouldn’t eat here.

I will pass up many other Jamaican restaurants to get to this one. They always make it worth the drive. Hasn’t disappointed me since they opened their doors.

This was one of my first experiences of Caribbean food when I first moved to Atlanta. It may not be the best, but it’s pretty darn good. Portions are great and the stew chicken keeps bringing me back.

I don’t know if this is «authentic» or if it’s Caribbean-America, but I like it! I haven’t had Caribbean food since 2006, and was a little skeptical of trying Golden Krust. My sister whipped the Saturn into the parking lot before I could object and there we were. When you first walk in, you are met with the tantalizing aroma of curry and jerk. It was fairly busy as well, so I took this to be a good sign. Tip: There are two registers, the one on the right is for cash and the other on the left is for debit/credit. My sister chose the small Curry Chicken and chicken patty, and I selected the small Jerk Chicken. I wanted to play it safe since I had never eaten here before. The specials come with your choice of white rice or rice and peas, steamed veggies(cabbage, corn, peas, carrots, and green beans), and plantains. My entrée was $ 8.99, which is a fair price for the amount of food you get. We had more than enough to last us for a while. The food was hot and delicious! I did not eat much of the steamed veggies, because I don’t care for my veggies to be all mixed together like that… had I known that they were mixed, I would have asked for extra plantains instead of the veggies. Speaking of plantains, they were sooooo good! They were a little sweet, with the edges being cooked so they were slightly caramelized. The chicken was seasoned well, with a little heat to it. I tasted my sister’s Curry Chicken and it. was. delicious! She really enjoyed her patty, as well. My only issue was that the trash can was very full, and it was hard to discard what trash we had when we got ready to leave. Oh, by the way, they sell some Caribbean groceries, baked goods, and desserts there as well. If you’re having trouble finding Milo, you can definitely find it there. *I don’t know what Milo is… :o/*

Jamaican staple. Pretty shocked i never reviewed this place seeing as I’ve been coming here almost daily since 2007. Nice staff and better food than the location in Snelleville on 124. Also nicer staff than on 124. Fresh porridge, the callalloo and saltfish is nice. Don’t care too much for their oxtail, and I do not eat curry from anyone but a Trini, so I can’t comment on their curry. I normally find fault with all Jamaican prepared curry. Their ackee and saltfish is OK. Not the best, not the worst, and their portions are small, though the price is steep. Porridge is always piping hot and nice. Call ahead to make sure they have, bc it does sell out fast. I’d agree, my go-to yardie spot, and it nice to buy some harddough bread and seamoss while in there. Good selection of fresh juices too– Acerola, Sorrel, Guava PAssion, SourSop, Seamoss, etc.

I love some good Caribbean food! When I walked in here yesterday I was pleasantly surprised at the make-over they have done. Before this they had a big olé rack right smack in the middle of the store that held all kind of different grocery goods. The good I didn’t have a problem with because most of those things are kinda hard to find in you local grocery store. It was the rack that I had issues with. Talk about big and overwhelming. Well someone must have given them a hint and they totally have done away with it. Now there is a smaller rack behind the counter, still stock with many goods. Bun and cheese, hard-dough bread, bakes, slices of cakes, plenty of colas to choose from. And the carrot juice is hmmm, hmmm good! Try it, you might just fall in love. The spinach wrap is great. And I just discovered they sell shrimp patties which I had one and it was very, very good. They are vegetarian friendly. Delicious fish recipes to order. Beef patties, vegetarian patties. And they sell, Krust! one of my favorite(filling) snacks. Rice and peas, vegetables… you name it, they got it! Your mouth watering yet? ;-)
