Wild Bill’s harks back to the golden days of barbershops when men had a place to go, get a great cut, and chew the fat with personable barbers and crusty but friendly locals. Run by two old friends named Bill since the early 60s, both are great cutters who eschew the tools and crutches of modern«pros» and think nothing of free-handing flat tops and other oldies but goodies. Almost as good as their abilites with scissor and clippers is the free-wheeling guy talk that you don’t get at co-ed salons; talk of old-time Stockton, of hot rod races down a then-rural Hammer Lane, of Sadie Hawkins dances and of war. If you need a shot of good old fashioned testosterone and a real guy haircut besides, check them out. They prefer to work by appointment but walk-ins are welcome as well.
