Service was great and they were extremely polite. I really wanted breakfast but I didn’t have time so I got a plate to go, they were super quick too! The food was okay, I was really craving eggs Benedict but it really wasn’t the best from this place. It seemed like something I could make at home and probably make better. While you can’t beat the prices, I’d rather pay a bit more somewhere else. I love that this is a local business though, so I would go back if I wanted to give a different plate a shot. It was packed when I went in so obviously people do enjoy it! Need to try something else to see.

Classic homey neighborhood diner. The food was basic, but the atmosphere was welcoming.

I tried Sam’s for the first time today and it wasn’t for me. Though the atmosphere was very pleasant and the wait staff was excellent not too mention Dave on the guitar gets my plate sadly was not good and that’s putting it nicely. I love supporting local business and though my experience with the«food» was terrible I would definitely give them a second try, but maybe for lunch not«breakfast». For me it’s a review at best.

Good little neighborhood place, but I have no clue why they keep refilling the tapatio bottles with Tabasco? They’re NOT the same thing— just don’t have two options if you’re gonna lie to the people like this! I SHOULD give three stars.

Dont let the outside fool you. This place serves delicious food. Menu has Chinese and American cuisine on it but don’t be steered away. They offer good stuff. Friendly staff and order was served up pretty quick

Service was great. The Chicken skillet was great. But, for our meal to be so early in the morning, why was it cold? As a good restaurant, serving people early morning for their first meal of the day, you gotta have consistency. Everyday it’s gotta be on point. So, I’m going back for their fried rice. Hopefully it’ll be fresh, hot, and delish… I’ll give it a try one more time for the Chicken skillet. And I’ll get back to you how that one was.

I love Sam’s Café! I always enter with a big smile and leave with an even bigger smile whenever I come here. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is always great! The people who work there, especially Sam and(who I am assuming) is his wife, are so friendly! Anyways, the food is great. I always come here when I’m craving a good, hearty breakfast. Their chopped up ham with scrambled eggs is simple and so good. I recently tried the corn beef hash, which comes with eggs, potatoes, and toast. SOGOOD. It’s simple and satisfying. Service is always great! This is a great go-to spot for breakfast!

I’ve known about Sam’s for many years but never tried it until this weekend. It’s defintely in my «breakfast place» rotation now along with Avenue Grill and Bob’s at the Marina. It’s a small place with a two or three booths, a few tables and a half dozen bar seats with a very Mid-Western feel. Half American food menu, half Asian food menu. Fantastic prices! My g/f and I each ordered a breakfast skillet and they were very good. Good flavor, not greasy, cooked exactly to order, quick to the table. The service was quick and friendly. The only reason I don’t give it a 5-star is because it’s not quite to par with my all-time fav breakfast place, which is also twice as a expensive… but it’s tied for 2nd place in my heart. I wish I’d tried it a long time ago. I’ll be back, many times in the future.

First time here. We came for the waffles and the great reviews. Breakfast time was busy but staff were welcoming. I ordered waffle combo and my husband ordered the fresh toast combo. Waffles were buttered in every square crispy and fluffy on the on inside. Definitely coming back for seconds.

This establishment has been around forever. The owners, cook, server are great people and make conversation with everyone. While sitting down, the regulars came in and began a conversation and included me. The food was good. Cleanliness. Cheap and affordable food. Quality taste. My four-star rating is based on what I’ve mentioned. If I have the option to rate it a five star it would be the portion of the food. However I had enough food myself

GROSS. Omg the place had so much potential when I walked in. Great live entertainment, personable people. The the food arrived! The young waiter never asked me how I wanted my eggs so they arrived sunny side up(lord no). I had to ask them to cook them more. Once it arrived again I took two bites of the food and could not eat! No flavor, tastes like lard, Just GROSS! So much for the reviews.

Review on Breakfast: Nothing fancy, no gimmicky items, just a solid breakfast spot. I had 2 eggs over medium, bacon, hashbrowns, and biscuit with gravy. Eggs were made perfect how I like them, bacon had the right crisp, hashbrowns were pretty standard, and the gravy didn’t have that made from a packet flavor so I’m guessing it could be homemade. Prices are fair. I’ll keep coming back.

This has become my usually Saturday after gym hang out. They have a selection of breakfast, lunch, and Asian food… yes, Asian food! Weird… but it works! Only had breakfast here. Food is good. Prices are SUPER cheap. You can get a meal for until $ 10 bucks. Nice! Service is good.

5 stars mainly for the great and friendly service. We were greeted once we came in. Place is a cute small little old diner that sells American traditional food as well as Chinese food. I didn’t try the Chinese food but the breakfast we ordered tasted like homemade food, which is cool, not over seasoned or artificial but just right. There were a lot of regulars when we were there and it just made the place feel warm and welcoming. Will come back to try the Chinese food. The place got really packed with not a single vacant table and with the one waiter that was working she was able to handle it all with great flow and a smile on her face! Amazing! She truly cares for her customers.

Sam’s Café on the Miracle Mile in Stockton, California. I came in the other day with my Mother to have a Brunch. The Café was a little busy but we found a seat next to the front window. The waitress quickly asked what we wanted to drink so we chose two coffees and one water for me. We knew what we wanted to order so we put it in right away. My Mother picked out the ham & eggs with hash browns and I Ham & eggs with country potatoes. They also came with SOS is what I call them but biscuits and gravy. The wait time wasn’t long at all we probably waited maybe 10 minutes tops. But time is rarely a factor for me. Because I was just enjoying the moment with my Mama. Note; They take all major credit cards except Discover Card Pro tip; There is parking in the back Major League tip; They have a restroom We got our food and I quickly took some pictures of the food then we chowed down. The sunny side eggs were bomb and so were the potatoes. I’m a savage so I ended up pouring the biscuits and gravy all over my plate. I asked my Mom and she enjoyed her plate a lot. So Sam’s café scored a touchdown on the food and service. The lady who works the front counter/waitress is very sociable. I need to ask her name the next time I’m there. I really had a wonderful time with my mother here, so yeah we’ll be back very soon. Vincent D aka VD aka Vebola Enjoying the simple things in life. SYOY

What initially attracted me to Sam’s Café was a picture of their FRIEDWIENERSCOVEREDWITHGRAVY over rice on Unilocal. Can you say YUM? I had driven past it many a time but never realized it was a Chinese-American breakfast diner(essentially Stockton’s version of Harry’s Café in Sacramento) and was excited to try it out for Sunday morning breakfast. If I had to sum up the experience in 3 words: 1) CHEAP. Prices were very reasonable; all of the breakfast items seemed to be under $ 10 and portions were good for the price. I ordered the scrambled eggs with hot dogs and hash browns, which also came with toast, and left feeling full and satisfied. Food was good, not holy-moly-best-I’ve-ever-tasted, but still good. 2) FAST, as our food came out no longer than 5 – 10 minutes after we ordered… dare I say possibly even faster? Definitely a great place to go if you’re SUPER hungry and want some delicious breakfast ASAP! 3) FRIENDLY service — everyone was very nice and smiling from beginning to end! We were immediately acknowledged when we walked in, our booth was cleared, and someone was ready to take our orders right away even before we had the chance to peruse the menu. Doesn’t get much better than that. Only downside I found was that the boyfriend’s biscuits and gravy got cold VERY quickly. Being one of my favorite breakfast items, that was a little disappointing. So maybe not the best place for your pipin’ hot biscuits and gravy fix, but overall a good breakfast option on Miracle Mile. In the words of Arnold: I’ll be back(to try those fried wieners and gravy for lunch!).
