What a pleasure it was to go to very professional people who help me pick out some youth baseball equipment I recommend you guys highly they know what you’re doing and I will be back again

This Company is now under New Management and the change in both attitude and customer service was very apparent. We were shopping for some new Kayaks and received great customer service with regards to selecting the most appropriate model for my Wife & I. Withing minutes and with the help of the staff we selected just the right model and received a great price! Very excited about our purchase and look forward to shopping here again for both new and used sporting goods.

I sold an item on consignment they take half the money it is sold for. The cashier said «we don’t call you, you call us to see if it is sold». So I checked in once a month for two months and on the 3^rd month I called they said, «oh it sold last month you can come get your check we close at 7pm. «When I go in a few hours later they inform me ownership changed 2 weeks ago and a check was not made out for me so I need to come back tomorrow but they will call me the following day. Of course I didn’t get called but after calling them and going back the next day I did get my money but I felt like overall they are unprofessional.

Still not impressed with the store. I went in to look for a weight bench that I had found on Amazon for a lot less and free shipping. The bench was very over priced.
I looked around the rest of the store and realized all the new equipment was very over priced, as well. The weights and bars can be had for a lot less at other sports store in town.
With all the sports and activity minded people, I wish Stockton actually had a good place to trade/​buy/​sell used equipment.

A couple of weekends ago, after stuffing my face with dim sum at Dynasty, I had a wild idea to walk over to Play It Again Sports to ‘burn’ some food off. If you know the area, its about 30 steps. The irony of this is… is that we were looking for a couple of things, on full bellies and obviously not going to put ‘said’ sports equipment to frequent use. Basically, we’re fat. Yeah, I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. We’re fat.
I have been after a badminton set for a while. You don’t see those too often. Especially at Macy’s. I’m kidding, you dip wad. AND one of those ‘wave’ 2 wheeled skate boards. Yeah, I’ve been pretty adventurous. My husband looked at kayaks and I asked about skis.
We walked out with (yes, we paid) a CHAMPIONSHIP badminton set, and a super light racquet, watch out, I’m pretty good. They had the WAVE, but I really wanted to see the video before buying a $ 90 skate board. The owner asked if all of the items we were looking for were for our kids. God bless him, I said, that we are ‘the kids’.
The store can get a bit cramped and you might be better off asking for help instead of browsing.

I put some old snowboarding boots up for consignment here. They fetched a decent price and I got 50 bucks for the two pairs after the store got their cut.
My only problem was that they made me come back twice to collect my dough because on 2 occasions the check-​writer wasn’t there.
The staff is nice enough and they’re always looking for your old sports equipment. If you keep your expectations low then you’ll be fine, cash for your old clutter is always a good deal.
You know that weight bench you got in your garage? When’s the last time you used that? Now you just use it for hanging clothes or something to put your groceries bags on the way to the kitchen. Get rid of it!
Their gear is always seasonal so there’s tons of snowboards in the winter and now they’re stocked up with wakeboards and surfboards.
If you are in the market, theres tons of sports equipment thats still usable for half the price of what you’d pay at Sears or Sports Authority. I’d recommend you look for a treadmill or exercise bike before you hit up the chain stores.
Not everything they sell is used, some protective equipment (gloves, etc) and other clothing seems to be brand new I don’t know if their prices are any lower than other stores however.
