Mimi’s always has coupons. You sign up for the e-​club. The breakfast is the best. Poached eggs and french toast and bacon mmmmm. Very good to start the day. They used to give samples of the muffins and now they don’t. I like the seating and they do not leave you waiting too long. Try the fresh squeezed orange juice. It is very very good. They made a mistake on my plate and came back and fixed it fast and with big smiles so all went well. I think if they continued the muffin samples I may just take some home. Not without a little taste first. That would be a smart thing to begin doing again.

Average tasting food. Ghetto staff and patrons every time. What are ya gunna do? We in Stockton afterall.
Mimi’s is like a French– country restaurant on the inside so it’s got a different feel than Olive Garden.

Only eat here for breakfast! Me & my boyfriend went here for breakfast during the week of Thanksgiving (2015) and ordered the chicken and waffles and breakfast tacos. My breakfast tacos weren’t bad… My boyfriend’s chicken and waffles were DELCIOUS! It was the chicken breasts that set the meal off. They were so juicy and flavorful. I wish I went for that dish.
We decided to do Mimi’s for lunch a few days later and that was a mistake. The muffin/​bread basket they brought out was the best part of our meal. I ordered the chicken chopped Asian salad and requested the same chicken they use for the chicken & waffles, but it just wasn’t the same. The chicken was cold and didn’t taste the same. I really didn’t like the salad. The flavors just didn’t work well. My boyfriend ordered the steak and thought it was terrible. Ordering a steak from a place like this is just a rookie mistake! Anyway, we would definitely go back for breakfast.

Thanks Adam Carreira, had to ask for his full name for this review, the food was great, we had fish and chips and a burger. Adam was great, we were all hungry coming from Sunnyvale to visit. The bread came in less than five minutes, great bread, mixed with carrot banana nut bread, and regular mini french bread. That help us until the main food came which was also great. Adam your service was five star thanks! and thanks for looking for the purse, the elders said they found the purse at home. My father Mr. Gene Clark goes to your place at lease ounce a week please say hello to him for me his son Gene Jr. And thanks again for making our family get together a great experience. Further, Adam mentioned a AAA discount for members, my father who is a senior citizen gets a thrill from any savings.

Bonjour. Step in to a little bit of Europe. This is the Country French destination. Cozy and casual. Perfect for impressing that special someone wether you’re French or not. Wait staff will welcome you and remember you. The restaurant is split into two French decorative rooms with a separate bar and lounge. Le menu has something special to suit everyone’s palate. From delicious breakfasts, lunch and appetizers to French Onion soup and warm breads and desserts. American favorites too. My favorites include the braised Beef Pot Roast. Try the desserts and wines. I like this place.

Dear Mimi’s, your bathrooms smell like a sewer, and it is very disturbing. Can you please fix this, the bathrooms are located right next to the kitchen and it worries me. I wonder if your facilities are sanitary.
However, the server Loretta was awesome, refilled my hot water for tea three times! 9 out of 10 times servers never refill. She is also really nice and helpful in my selections. If Loretta were the only basis for this review she would get a 5 out of 5. But the bathrooms are too disturbing. The smell indicates a huge sanitary problem. I wish I knew who to contact about this.

Haven’t ate here in like over 5 years & I just decided to come back to eat here since it was my bf first time. Food was good and so was the service. Don’t really have much to say.

Some of the best breakfast in the area and the service is always good. The hot chocolate is a must with my kids.

Felt like our food was made two hours ago, and reheated. Soggy fries, no flavor. Burnt burgers. Bland guacamole. Jalapeño tasted like a piece of lettuce. Not spicy at all. Awkwardly stiff bread. The deviled eggs were wet and mehhh. Stars were for the server that was pretty polite. Food was edible, because the ketchup we added. Sorry Stockton MiMis, modestos is A lot better.

Arrived before 7pm on Friday night and they had the entire right side of the restaurant already closed. We sat down a hostess grabbed our drink order, Diet Coke for me and iced tea for my boyfriend. The waitress arrived a few minutes later, offering appetizers, we let her know we were ready and she took out order without pen & paper. Turkey dinner plate for me, the lemon chicken under a brick for my dining partner. (Skip it, he said it wasn’t good)
We relaxed and talked, watching the room completely fill to max capacity. It wasn’t until I started seeing people that were seated after us get their check that I looked at my phone to see when I had texted my friend what I ordered. It had been 45 minutes without any acknowledgement. No food, no refills, no eye contact, nothing. There was a woman with glasses that was working very hard on most of the room, and the manager had just come out and started helping out but our server had not entered the room since we ordered.
I flagged down the manager and asked him to please check on our food. He had me tell him what we had ordered and left to the kitchen. Five minutes later he shows up with our plates. The rims were fire hot, he had to warn us about them. This means our food was either microwaved, or left under the heat lamp for way too long. There was a crust that I had to break through on my mashed potatoes.
He looks at our empty drinks and asks if we need anything else? We say, yes refills please and he brought them fairly fast. There were no apologies for the lack of service. He said that our server had too many tables and that they were slow and that suddenly it was busy. I assume Friday night that should be planned for.
We finally saw our server pop out and wander to a couple tables who also were displeased. She didn’t give us eye contact once. Finally, she came over and asked if she could get us anything. The iced tea was gone so we asked for a tea and a box, thinking this may be our only chance for a box. Five minutes later, she comes out, no box or tea, she goes in and out of the kitchen twice asks other tables about refills, never brings anything over. Finally she brings the check and a box. I show her my coupon and she disappears.
No refill and only 8 frustrated bites in almost 2 hours, I tell my dining partner to wave the manager over. He once again says how busy they are and that she is such a great server that she doesn’t even need to write things down. (Maybe we would have gotten refills if she had?) Not once was there an apology for the horrible service, just poor excuses that they were shocked it got busy.
He did end up saying that he added another coupon and that the meal was on him. We were thankful. My boyfriend, very thankful at the time asked for a card and the manager said. «Why, so you can complain about us?» Direct quote. Wow huge red flags.
As we left we noticed they had already stacked all of the chairs and done all of the night prep on the entire large side of the business. I have a feeling this is what our server was doing so they could all get out fast when they close at 9 and get their last customers out.
The food was ok, but the service took 10 steps backwards.
I went in with intentions of buying muffins to-​go. Just trying to order and receive a simple dinner and basic fountain drinks was such a headache, there was no way I would add anything to the mix.
Mimi’s, I had been telling naysayers you got your act together. When your management can’t give a business card away, something is really going wrong.

I signed up for Mimi’s e-​club and I have yet to receive a confirmation or emails. When I finished filling everything out I received a congratulatory notification that I was a member. When Mimi’s first opened, I went in for breakfast, service and food was great.
I signed up to try the dinner menu. Since I did not receive anything, I took my party of 8 to dine elsewhere.

For such a lovely restaurant, the service has sure taken a dive. No one was waiting and the host said (from a distance) he’d be with us later. When we were finally seated the waitress acted inconvenienced when we requested water. There was none of the customary bread offered until after she brought the water. Then she disappeared! When she came back out she waddled past us without a glance and proceeded to two other tables and then stood at the waitress station seeming to ignore us on purpose. This was a Monday night 7 p.m. there was no excuse for such neglect. We left and went to Boudin’s (where the service is worthy of Disney)

Fuck this place. Waited 20+ minutes for a table before leaving. There were 3 – 4 groups seated before us after showing up and put on the list after us. Fucking bullshit. No apologies and was completely ignored. Can’t go anywhere in this town for a decent meal.

I know a lot of people go here for breakfast but as for my inner circle of friends I hardly hear them mention this place. This place is underrated as a breakfast go-​to spot in my opinion. I came here with a few friends and everyone enjoyed their meals. As for me, I ordered the lemon poppyseed pancake meal which came with eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes. The lemon poppy seed pancakes were great especially with the strawberry rhubarb butter. The rest of the parts were done well too. Service was great and we didn’t have to wait long even tho they appeared to be pretty busy. Worth a weekend breakfast trip!

First… sign up for the email club. Every couple weeks they send you a BOGO coupon… buy one entrée and two drinks, get an entrée of equal or lesser value for free.

The restaurant was comfortably cool inside. Important on a day when it’s 106° outside!
Ordered two of their brick chicken entrées…the cowboy chicken and the lemon pepper chicken. It comes with half a chicken, potato chunks and salad on the plate. I substituted natural hand cut french fries for the potato chunks. The chicken was outstanding. Even the breast meat was tender and juicy. The skin was delicious… well seasoned. French fries were very good too. I certainly would order the same dinner again.
Nothing negative. Five-​star experience.

I ordered the Slow-​Smoked Ham & Eggs under the Farmhouse Two-​Egg Breakfasts. The ham was great, but this was negatively outed by burnt toast and over cooked over-​medium eggs. The eggs and toast was obviously over cooked like a elephant in a room. Yet it was dismissed by both the cook and server and ended up on the table! Sadly, my five dollar Black Friday toaster makes better toast. I gave Mimi a second chance and this was the final cut!

From the outside patio alone you can see that this is a quaint little spot to have a nice breakfast/​brunch. In the mornings right before lunch this place gets a tad crowded (may have to wait a bit to be seated). The employees kindly swapped our lunch menus for the breakfast ones. We waited a little long for our food to come out, but it’s bound to happen when you come in a large group.
Everything on the menu sounds amazing and I wish they had a sampler where you can try a bite of everything but I guess that takes the fun it of trying new dishes.
The smoked salmon eggs benedict was great! Paired with a mimosa (I recommend mini-​mosa or white peach), the combo with the muffin, salmon, egg and capers was mmm mmm good.

They keep sending me coupons and I keep coming back! The salt and pepper farm house salad and skewers was great! I had salmon and April had shrimp. Both were yummy.

If i wanted to eat canned food id would of gone to carrows,
we ordered clam chowder, honestly it used to be the only reason why we went there, it used to be awesome, it came out brown, yes brown, it tasted grainy almost like it was made from dehydrated milk or at the very least out of a can… discusting,
Ordered their french dip, the meat was on par with spam, Now I understand why this restaurant is always empty, I will never ever go back to this place again
