Mi Ranchito Cafe

I love Mi Ranchito and have been coming here since the 60’s-when it was on skid row. But I tried to get dinner at 10 minutes to 8 on a Saturday night and they were closed. Either they’ve changed their hours, or someone made a mistake. Extremely disappointing. Otherwise, I would give it more stars, but I have a real problem with businesses who don’t honor their stated hours.

Been coming to Mi Ranchito Café for over 40 years. I’m the kind of gal who craves huevos rancheros for breakfast instead of pancakes! Food is always flavorful and consistent. No one makes the ranchero sauce quite like Mi Ranchito. It is perfect every time. Their pork verde is off the hook also. I just wish they had a location closer to Lodi.

The red salsa was off the hook. The flour and corn tortilla chips were warm and complmented the salsa perfectly.
Our waitress, a wonderful older Mexican lady was helpful and friendly.
Excellent chorizo I totally recommend this restaurant!

For the life of my I can’t understand how people come to like this place? The food is bad and don’t get me started on the service they don’t have a clue about Customer Satisfaction!
I’ll never eat here as I only went there to but a Gift Certificate that took 3 days to accomplish because the Owner liked them up in her office that no one had a key to… You’d think if I told them that I’ll be back the next day they would have told the owner… NOPE!!!

Went for lunch today. Best Mexican food in town plus homemade tortillas 5 stars for sure!!!

I always take my dad with me because he loves this place, the owner is hands on and he has outstanding customer service. His wait staff always seems to be smiling.

Best, authentic Mexican food around, homemade flour tortillas, Ive been going there since 1982 and I’m 30 miles away…

My family has been coming to Mi Ranchito for more than 60 years now. The food is as authentic as going home to your mom’s house but the service has always been horrible. Aside from one or two waiters that are able to do their job well, all the others are lacking. With as much business as this place gets year after year you would think they could hire/​schedule more than 3 waiters to run the restaurant! It would be a much more enjoyable experience if they could spend some of their tremendous profits on hiring enough employees.

I had a carne asada burrito and I would say it was okay, nothing special. All I wanted was a simple burrito and all they had to offer was a «super» burrito. Typically super burritos have extra things in it, but this was simply beans, rice, and carne asada but it was HUGE! There’s no way I could hold it! The horchata was excellent!

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place! It’s beyond good! I mean not only was the service fast. We received our food just as fast. The attention and quality of food really reflects through the staff and kitchen. Everything came out precise and organized. We had a last minute egg order for my nephew and it came out in 2 minutes!
I really recommend this place, the food is just delicious!

Need to hire more help. 30 – 40 minute wait after being seated is a little to long, food was decent.

This place gets all my respect. My mom got into a car accident today and pulled her car into this place to wait for a tow truck. While waiting she went inside to offer a soda and wait for myself and the tow truck to get there to her rescue. While she was waiting the owner helped her out by looking at her car and assisting to make things better for her. Reassured her she will be safe there until I arrived. (since she was in a town she has never been too) he was very nice and welcoming to her. I appreciate him for his kindness and this place has my respect. If any customer breaks down there they do have jumper cables for you guys. That’s what I call customer service at its best.
OK so I arrive and ordered a chicken Quesadilla to go. And I was in shock the tortilla was homemade, chicken was flavorful with a sauce that was amazing as well.
I will defiantly make this place a must stop when going through Stockton. Great food and customer service what note can you ask for?

Totally down hill. Need a new chef. Yesterday my burrito had a pile of chili flakes that made the texture like dirt and today my menudo came out Luke warm and watered down. The cook came out defensive and asked why I didn’t get it reheated, and I said it would not have fixed the lack of taste. Love the servers though. BTW, they over cook the flour tortilla chips too.

Not the worst food I’ve eaten, but frankly, it left a great deal to be desired,
It was basic nutrition, certainly nothing to get excited about. Their salsa and hot sauce were horribly disappointing.
Good rice and beans, but that’s it.

Today, my mother, sister and I decided to try this place because of all the good reviews it had on here. This was by far the worst place I have ever been to. There is no way in hell those were homemade flour or corn tortillas. The rice and beans had no flavor whatsoever, and don’t get me started about the horchata, which was store bought. They should be ashamed to call themselves a mexican restaurant. My mom ordered chilaquiles and literally left the plate untouched after two bites. They didn’t even have bottled ketchup, they had little packets like at mcdonalds. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! You will regret it. Go to Nena’s Mexican restaurant instead. They’re food is delicious and their homemade flour tortillas are the best in town. That’s what we get for trying something new. Worst mistake.

I heart this place. My family has been going here forever, since I was little. The food is always amazing. The Mari’s enchiladas for breakfast is my usual which comes in a delicious enchilada sauce with an over easy egg on top rice and beans. The service is ok. You have your good and bad servers like any restaurant. We have waited sometimes for over 30 minutes to get drinks and other times they are prompt. And that’s ok because I’m in heaven with that first bite. I love how they don’t change a thing, it keeps your memories going as a kid. Highly recommend… don’t mind the crack heads hanging out they don’t bite. usually. Happy Eating!

I’m born and raised here and I have never been here TIL last week a friend recommended and man leg me tell you they truly are the best Authentic mexican restaurant in Stockton I ordered Chicken Chiliquiles took one bite and it took me back to my childhood when my mom made everything from scratch also love the salsa

Hands down the best restaurant for Mexican breakfast in town.
This is our go to place for traditional Mexican breakfast, but if you come in the morning, the parking lot is going to be full, especially on weekends.
My favorite thing to order is the Machaca, It comes with rice, beans and fresh made flour tortillas.
The servers are all very nice but I try sitting in Cecilia’s section because I think she’s the best. I’ve been here so many times she already knows what I’m going order.

The best breakfast around. The place is packed and regulars outnumber walk-​ins! Huevos Mexicana and menudo are great

Great Mexican breakfast and terrific staff. Comfort food for those of us growing up eating Moma’s homemade tortillas but to lazy to make them ourselves.

Como comida Mexicana No recomendable, ordene un plato de Chile verde y me trajeron carne de puerco hervida con jitomate y cebolla picada no le VI lo verde por ningún lado… Mi esposo ordeno Cosido y no tenía sal y era la mitad de una col en el plato… Mi hija ordeno unas enchilada verdes y le trajeron rojas … O. o … Es un Ruidero K no puede oír lo K mi hija y mi esposo me decían… La persona que nos atendió tardo tanto para todo …
Les recomiendo el arroz y los frijoles :)
