Great chili relleno! Great service! Terrific chicken mole! And wonderful homemade corn tortillas! It is now my go to place for Mexican food in Stockton!

Went on a Sunday around 130pm. I was the only person dining there. Was given chips/​salsa rite away. Shortly after my drink-​fountain style Coke. Order was taken a few min later. Clean inside.
I ordered bac n eggs breakfast w a chili relleno ala carte. Neither had a price option on menu.
Food:
–beans/​rice were okay normal taste. Small portion. Kinda cold. Beans runny but thas okay.
–Eggs cooked o. med well perfect!
–bacon was obviously deep fried or microwaved because texture was dry/​rubbery.
–FLOUR TORTILLA (only gave me 1) WAS NOT HOMEMADE. I repeat the flour tortilla was not homemade and was kinda hard. **I read from other Unilocalers who specifically stated the flour tortillas were homemade** Dont be fooled like i was cuz they definitely are not !!!
–Chili relleno was avg good. Plenty of chez inside. Reg sized and a tad dry. Although i think it was microwaved too and not fresly cooked as this is a common practice at many mexican restaurants to make ahead of time and warm up as needed.
–Chips/​salsa were okay, nothing fancy.
Service: not friendly but not rude. I said thank u several times and never once heard a response bk. Food came out quick. Almost done w my meal before i received a refill.
** I did want to note that when Spanish-​speaking customers came in (im not fluent but i understand alot), the demeanor and friendliness of the male employee/​server changed drastically. He checked on them, catered to them extensively, in otherwards very helpful and polite. He said «thank u –welcome» and everything!!! Not sure how i felt about that cuz like i said, i was the only one dining there and everyone else was to-​go except for the customers that came in when i was leaving.
Never received a bill so i went to counter to pay all while interrupting the employees talking with the customers now sitting at counter. Still no bill but was told my amt due was… 13.00. Not bad i guess but then i dont have anything to compare it to since neither food item was listed/​priced on menu.
I definitely will not go bk but if someone were to take me there because they had a good experience, i would try it a 2^nd time.

Happy to have found this place for breakfast. The two ladies who run it are very friendly and work hard to please their customers. Homemade corn & flour tortillas! In fact, everything here tastes like homemade– in a good way. Good beans & rice accompanied my perfectly cooked eggs. My friend had Huevos Divorciados– Chili Colorado & Chili Verde separated by rice & beans. He ate every bite. Huge mug of coffee, fresh salsa. This was The Golden Palace Chinese restaurant. We will go back again.

Everything I have tried has been awesome. The soups are huge with an abundance of meat. I kinda hoped for less meat more vegetables, but that’s just me. The salsa is definitely not for the weak. It would be even better if it were chunkier but a little less hot, at least for this gringa. Or have a less spicy more pico de gillo version. I will definitely keep going back though. Close to work

This place was delicious. We were looking for another place and ended up here, they just gained new customers. I love little hole in the wall places. Great service and great food!

Stopped in coming back from Tahoe and was blown away! I was dying for some soup, and they had chicken, beef, and meatball much to my surprise. I got the chicken and was completely satisfied. The fresh made corn tortillas sealed the deal. One of my friends for the Tilapia and it came as an entire fish — crispy and delicious.
The owners are also sincerely good people. The husband came and chatted with us for a bit and you could tell he has a big heart.
For sure we will be back!

The food is excellent. …best in town. Lots of soups and large breakfast menu. Homemade flour and corn tortillas. Everything is very fresh. Salsa is especially good. But key factor is the service. My brother, who is not a big Mexican food fan, asked if they could make him a taco salad (it’s not on the menu). They not only made him one, but it was the best he ever had… and beautifully done. They are very welcoming here. This place is our new go-​to downtown Mexican restaurant.

This place hands down is the most authentic Mexican restaurant I’ve been to! I came here with my mom and little brother and not one complaint about the service or food. The waitresses are so nice and always ask if everything is going good. I will be back soon!

This is not a review as to the food (as we haven’t eaten there) but as to the helpfulness of the owner Delfino. My sister-​in-​law had gotten a flat tire and pulled up outside the restaurant. On our way to help her change tires, we learned the owner of the restaurant was helping her change her tire. When we arrived, he was very nice & gracious. In a world where not too many people stop to help, this was a nice reminder that there are still good people left in the world.

A friend and I came here to eat dinner and really enjoyed the food here. The home made tortilla were awesome. Good authentic Mexican food. The price was really reasonable.

Worst place to eat… I went with my family and friends .we were expecting something decent but not .we came all the way from sacramento I looked up in Unilocal and this place had 5 stars .so we decided stop to this place and first the lady who was taking the order was really mean. after we ordered and we tried the food we went to the front and told the lady we weren’t happy with the food. she just said the food was from Sunday morning .we ended up paying her because she said the manager wasn’t there at the moment.

Been here many times! Great Mexican food. We have had shrimp dishes, menudo, steak chicana, Longaniza, tamales, chile rellenos, real mole, albondigas, caldo de res, caldo de pollo, coktel de camaron… etc. Tortillas are homemade the corn are my fave! If they have the ingredients in the kitchen they will make you a special order. Very nice people!

Took a chance on one lone review. They were right! Home made flour and home made corn tortillas. You really can’t beat em.

Brand new. Only open a month and this place is the bomb!!! Recommended by a friend and so glad we came. Great food and great people.
