Long John Silver’s

So I had not been to this location in over 3 years. I visited this location a couple of weeks back and had a great meal. So I went back and same results. I visited this location today, what do you know, great service and great food. Keep up the great work. I love writing good reviews. :)

Once in a while you just have to have your fish and chicken fix from LJS! I probably eat here less than once a month. We only have one store in Stockton now that the one on Pacific Avenue closed a few months ago. I have to travel across town to get to the one on Wilson Way.
I have had good food and service at this store. One of the issues that I have with fast food is that it sits under a warming lamp for a while before it is served. By request, this LJS cooks my meal hot and fresh… and they do so happily. I don’t get an attitude from them. They listen to my request and everything comes out great.
LJS changed ownership a couple years back. I feel this has been for the positive. They have expanded the sides that they offer, the hushpuppies are better and the natural-​cut french fries are actually good. Before the change, the french fries were terrible.
I am not sure why the north store closed… I heard they could not agree on the terms of a new lease. Who knows? But the remaining store has stepped up to the plate and continues to serve the time honored fish, chicken and chips.
Kudos to the employees. You guys do a great job!

By now I guess you can say I am a creature of habit. At LJS I only order the chicken planks and hushpuppies with lots of malt vinegar on both and it comes with fries so I use ketchup for them. I know it sound weird, but believe me it is delicious. The tartness of the malt vinegar brings out the good flavors. Now I want more. I want some right now but they are closed.
The two LJS are way out of my way this one on Wilson Way and Miner Ave and the one on Pacific Ave just south of Hammer Lane. But I will venture to this one on Wilson way because the service is faster.

When it comes to eating fried fish this is the only place where I like it. It sucks that there isn’t a location in Manteca anymore. They closed down a while ago so this is the closest location to me. Ok ok I have one confession: when I was little we would eat at LJS on occasion and my dad who is from Spain never knew what the place was called so he called it «Fish and Chips.» So when he used to say «let’s go to Fish and Chips kids» we would get excited. So I do have my memories and I loved the fish then and I love the fish now. I cannot really speak for their chicken, shrimp or clams but I can speak for the fish. The portions are generous and it tastes fresh. I try to avoid coming here during peak lunch and dinner hours because if you do you will be waiting a long time to get your food. It gets very busy during the peak times. They seem to be short staffed at times so it takes longer. If you are going through the drive thru and taking your food home the longer it sits the less fresh everything tastes and the fish loses it’s crunchiness which is why I avoid those peak times. So if you are looking to get in and get out avoid those peak times. The customer service is pretty good. The people that work there are polite and do their best to get you your food quickly. The one thing about this location is if you go through the drive thru when you are done you may be there for a while because traffic on Wilson Way can get pretty bad and there is no where else to go. You may just want to make a right and try and make a U turn if you are going in the other direction. Other than that little issue good place to get some fast seafood.

We went here Friday night «07−25−2014»… It was about 9:30pm. We ordered the two dinners & a family hush puppy pack. We had a coupon for the dinner for two for $ 9.99… When we pulled to the window to pay the lady was very rude. She demanded my money. I gave her the money & when she returned with my change I noticed that she didn’t charge me for the hush puppy family pack. I asked if she forgot & she said «WE DON’T HAVE ENOUGH SO DEAL WITH IT» We were shocked she would say something like that. We got our food and there was no hush puppy’s in the meal. Now I know the meal comes with two hush puppy’s. So I asked again. This time I got yelled at by the manager standing behind the lady that took my money. The Manager said «didn’t you hear us the first time» «Maybe you should dine somewhere else». Then I asked for sauce. I got two of each. Really? That’s not what I wanted. Just Tarter Sauce. She wouldn’t give me anymore than two. And to top it off. They didn’t give me a receipt. So I can’t e-​mail corporate.
I have never received bad service from this place before. Maybe it’s someone new or something. Still doesn’t make it right!
Anyway. I love Long John Silver’s but not the attitude from the employees at this restaurant.

Came here during dinner, 1 car + me in drive thru and they took 20mins for a bag of food for the car ahead of me, and took another 10mins to get my food, but the shrimp was tasty. $ 8 for 2 fish, 8 shrimps, hushpups, side of fries and cole slaw. –2 stars for the long wait.

This place is always extremely slow food is okay when they actually get your order right. It’s a shame especially this is the closest long John silvers around.

Fast place to get seafood and fish… the salmon is real good… but the location is hard to get in and out because of heavy traffic.

First time here. It wasnt too bad. The employees were very nice. Just the fish I ordered was quite small. Hahaha. Not too big of a deal. But for two dollars more at jj fish and chicken I get a massive amount of food.

I cannot belive that every restaurant in Stockton has been reviewed already, whats up with that. This place has been here forever. Food is always tasty. When I get the cravings this place works.
