I ordered the Kahlua Pork with Cabbage, no rice but more macaroni salad, and one Spam masubi. The Kahlua Pork was about a 7 out 10. The spam masubi was a little flavorless. If you dip it in the teriyaki sauce it tastes much better. The spam was cut a little thin. The price is ok compared to other Hawaiian BBQ places in Stockton. If you like a lot of mayonnaise then you’ll love the macaroni salad. I loved it. I will try it again because I have a rule of three. I always try a place three times before i completely write it off.

This L&L is very good, they have something called Katsu Chicken and it is quite unique and very delicious. Highly recommended, would eat again.

The food here is delicious! My kids and I love the BBQ chicken and the kalua pork with cabbage! My husband always gets the chicken katsu and BBQ beef! I like that you can either have white OR brown rice. Instead of the macaroni salad, I always get the cucumber salad which is to die for! The customer service here is always very good!

There is a large variety of food and the price is decent. Compared to Ono’s, it is cheaper because you do get more meat in your meal. You also get a free drink if you are a student, which Ono’s does not offer. Their customer service is also decent and the food comes out in a timely matter. However, I noticed lately that the quality of the food and portions have not been consistent. This is discouraging when you have a craving for a great meal, but your usual order is hit or miss. Overall, I would recommend this place for those who like a lot of options and variety. However, I wish the quality was more consistent.

Always liked this place, until yesterday I ordered a meal and me and a coworker who ate it both got food poisoning. Today I tried to call to inform them, not seeking anything but just to let them know. No answer, then when someone answered they hung up. I’ll stick to ONO if I ever this kind of food again.

I just ordered some food. They messed up my order and refused to remake it unless I pay for it again. Very bad business practice. Highly disappointed in the lack of hospitality here. Food tastes fine here. Not amazing but not terrible. But this makes me not want to bother wasting my money on a potential mistake again. Why should pay double for something that’s not worth it in taste when I could spend the same at a high end restaurant? Goodbye.

Just go here! The people and the food are both on point. You get great food and lots of variety for good prices. You will be greeted and smiled at when you walk into this establishment. Portions will fill you up. I love the shrimp or the masubi and I know there is always something new to try. I will come here once a week for a bite. I love L and L.

As much as I love the L and L franchise, customer service at this location is next to none. The last time, I had placed a phone order and was told it was going to be ten minutes. Ten minutes later, I walk in, and pay. I was then told it was going to be a few more minutes. There was constantly a customer at the register, so after they didn’t call my number five minutes later, I assumed all their orders were backed up. So I waited patiently – ten minutes passed, fifteen minutes passed. Then the cashier asked me what I was waiting for, and lo and behold, my order has been sitting there all along on the counter. The cashiers immediately were panic-stricken, but no apology was given as they just quickly handed me my food. Save yourself a headache, and head to Ono’s instead.

BBQ beef short ribs and chicks is very good, like the cold macaroni and mayo, with the pittance and rice. Good stuff and reminds me of the big island! Reggae music sets the ambiance!

As a UOP student, I get a free drink(canned or fountain), so I come here often(Yes, I am aware that so much grease is not good for me). I really like getting their chicken katsu and bbq chicken. Sometimes I would get half and half of each. Their macaroni salad are the best! I feel like they taste better than Ono Hawaiians’s, not to mention cheaper, too. If cardiovacular disease was not a big concern I would be eating L&L every night.

Lunch time, anytime at L&L’s Hawaiian BBQ. We come here almost once a week. If not every other week. No complaints here. Andrea is always so helpful and knows our orders as soon as she sees us. Today it was Lemon Pepper Chicken and a Healthy Fish lunch plate. 2 thumbs up for both lunches.

Came here for lunch around 11:30 am. Women’s Restroom had no paper towels and no seat covers. I was thinking I should’ve been stocked since the open at 1030 am. The cashier who took my order and money, was friendly and appeared very welcoming(smile, eye contact, patiently waited as I decided what to order). I got a mini lunch meal — the butterfly shrimp. It came with rice, cabbage, and macaroni salad. The butterfly shrimp was cooked well and was crunchy. The cabbage would’ve been much better if it was steamed or cooked a bit — it was raw and placed under the shrimps. Overall, friendly cashier and good tasting food.

Nice relax and friendly place. I ordered the curry katsu chicken. They forgot the curry. The portions are pretty good and the food was all cooked perfectly. No vegetable garnish like other Hawaiian places.

L & L Hawaiian Barbecue on Perishing Ave in Stockton, California. Ive been wanting to come here for awhile now, so I came in today for my lunch break. I really didn’t know what to order, so I was looking over the menu and getting ideas from the cashier Andrea on what to try for the first time. She suggested that I try the Grilled BBQ chicken plate that comes with macaroni salad and rice for $ 7.75. I substituted the white rice for brown rice and added a drink for $ 1.59. Note: You get asked if you want your cabbage raw or cooked. I tried cooked and it was very good. Note: They’ll give you a punch card, that you get stamped. Buy ten meals and the 11th is free. I was very impressed with the customer service here. There was another guy on the other register doing a good job too. The meals are walked out to you like how Carl’s junior does it. My meal was brought out fairly quickly and I looked over it and tried the macaroni first. Andrea was right it is very good. Next up I poured some teriyaki sauce over my chicken and rice. The brown rice did taste very good, especially when I mixed it with the macaroni salad. The BBQ chicken tasted very good, I ended up tearing it up into little pieces and mixing it with my rice and macaroni salad. I do wierd stuff like that lol. I walked away with a great experience today on my lunch break. The customer service was top notch and the food is really good. Andrea you rock and keep up the good work. So yeah I’ll be coming back with my coworker Dino D in about a week. Tip: watch out because the food will knock you out and leave you stuffed. I went back to work and wanted to get my snooze on. Loved the Saimen with shrimp… the broth was very good .the noodles perfect. the fried shrimp was hot and super crispy. served with tartar sauce. I also had a salad of thinly sliced cucumber and carrot with some thread-like noodles in it. I loved the tangy sweet/sour vinaigrette and the crunch! This place was packed… But service was fast and friendly. I loved the relaxing atmosphere. with Hawaiian music playing in the background. This was my first visit. But I’ll be back soon. Don’t hesitate to give this little gem a try.

I see this place has plenty of worthy reviews already, but I have to add mine! Overall…I like this place better than Ono. Tasty food. Larger selection. Great, helpful and friendly staff. I landed here today because of a coupon in my junk mail last week Offered $ 1 off of a ramen burger. The coupon is what actually caught my eye. Different, for sure. Sounded great. I was hoping that the ramen on the top and bottom of the burger might have a bit of a crunch to it… but it didn’t. It was more like the ramen was steamed… a bit on the soft side. It certainly was a very ‘interesting’ burger and worthy of a try. I might order it again sometime… using a coupon of course. The counter person said that their mac salad was a lot like Ono’s(and I love Ono’s). Well, while I think it is very close, it is not quite as good. They both claim to have tuna as an ingredient but it seems like Ono has more tuna. Other than that L&L was good. I tried the lumpia on Cindy M’s recommendation. Very tasty. The counter person said they were pork with a question mark in her voice! haha… The tangy vinegary dipping sauce was the finishing touch. Only one issue, they were a little small compared to Best Lumpia, which is where I usually go for lumpia. I also tried a spam roll… sticky rice topped with a slice of spam wrapped in sea weed(per Julietta B, it’s called«Musubi». Thanks, Julietta!) I am NOT a fan of spam but this combination(dipped in their teriakai sauce) was very tasty and I would order it again. All food was served up hot and fresh… which is a big plus in my book! I will return to L&L.
