My family and I have eaten here several times over the past 6 years. We have never had a bad experience. The food is good and is always hot. This visit we had to ask for additional items (I.e. Forks, tortillas, plates) and each time we were helped by the manager. He was very pleasant, and never made me feel like I was bothering him. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Love their food. But today I placed a catering order for one of my clients (I’m in sales) and said I needed it at 11:00. When I got here, the tag said 11:30. I thought they were working on it as they were working on a catering order. No, come to find out it was another catering order. It was still sitting there when I left. When I told the manager I had told them 11:00, she argued with me the tag said 11:30. I don’t care what the tag said. I told them 11:00 numerous times when I called. Now, because they were 35 minutes late with my order, I will be 20 minutes late to my lunch with this client.

I absolutely despise it when I go thru your friggn drive thru to order a salad, a burrito, and 3 tacos to only get 3 small mini cups of your verde sauce. Really?
That’s when I come in and purposely pour myself 10 cups more. :p

I have been eating at El Pollo’s for years. Usually on a lunch break from work. Either in Sac or here in Stockton since they are always close to my office. They are usually consistent and offer a wide variety of items that usually seem healthier than your average Mexican fast food place. Sala bar is fresh, and adds flavor to the food which is usally on the blander side for Mexican food.
I usually stick to their bowls, which they change up from time to time and often have them on special. Right now they have a crazy good deal going on until 8⁄4. A bowl, two tortillas, and a small drink for $ 5. You can’t even eat at home or bring left overs for that price! I used to love their crispy chicken tacos which they took of their menu. Their creamy cilantro dressing is tasty and they also make in a lighter version which is served in packets. It tastes great with their salads.

I love the taste of the chicken. I completed the Internet survey on the sales slip, and receive a reduction in the price on my return visit. Cash register employees are friendly as well.

Not sure if I was really hungry or if my burrito was really that good. But avocado burrito was really very good. The chicken was flavorful and came with exactly what I wanted although they had to drop half of the items normally in this burrito (minus the creamy cilantro, pico and cabbage) add rice and sour cream. My only complaint is that my burrito was almost $ 10! It was good but not $ 10 good. Thought this was a little pricey for a fast food chain. But again my burrito was tasty. My hubby ordered a 3 piece combo with broccoli and salad. He said his chicken was on the dry side and was a bit disappointed normally it tastes better. This place was packed! But our food arrived quickly. The chips were served warm and nicely salted but after sitting they had an odd taste to them? Eat’um while their hot I guess.

Just went through the drive thru. They got part of my order wrong. I asked for flour tortillas and they gave me corn. I also asked for house salsa on the side. They have me the green salsa. I drove away without checking my bag. Big mistake. There were no napkins and no utensils. The chicken was not cooked very well. Was undercooked.

This place is good. Limited vegetarian options, but they do have a good quesadilla and bean rice and cheese burrito and loco side salad for a decent price. Cant speak for their Pollo, its too loco for me. Their cheese enchiladas look good, but you get 4 for $ 7 and no beans or rice… thats too much. Good food otherwise. Good salsas.

Everytime my boyfriend and I come to Stockton we always go to El Pollo Loco.
The chicken is so moist and flavorful. I like to ge the tostada salad with the creamy ranch cilantro dressing.
Customer service is great and it’s always clean inside.

As far as fast food goes, EPL is somewhere near the top. Their chicken is phenomenal and their recently introduced under 500 calorie meals are a nice option for those of us trying to watch our intake.
This location has a tendency to mess up orders pretty frequently, which is unfortunate. Ordering an avocado salad but forget to specify the regular or under 500 calorie one? No worries, the cashier will just pick one for you. Oops, they forgot to add guacamole on the side of your Grande tacos? No problem, they can give it to you for 89 cents extra besides it being in the description and picture on the menu. They are generally pretty good at resolving these issues… but it’s still frustrating.
Forget McDonald’s and Taco Bell. This place is much better.

I am not a big fan of EPL.
Only reason I went there tonight was because of the $ 20 special advertised on tv:
8 pcs of chicken, two sides, 4 cheese enchiladas, tortillas and chirros.
Mashed potatoes are literally like wall paper paste (no, I’ve never tasted it!)
Corn seems like all skins and nothing inside the kernel
Chicken pieces are small and not a lot of meat on them.
Enchiladas were tasteless… had to exchange the first order because the
cheese was not melted!
For the $ 20 I could have purchased 4 rotisserie chickens from Costco!!!
(that would be 32 pieces of chicken!)
overall, I dont think EPL is anything special. After a period of time, i forget
that I really don’t like it and go back to try it again.
The most positive thing I can say is that it is a change from KFC,
Popeye’s or Churches…

The food overall is good a bit high price but then again what isn’t however, the service there is horrible there is no coordination and literally everyone is like a crazy chicken. their service manager or supervisor a chubby guy wearing some tight green shirt should not be in charge. He obviously doesn’t know how to coordinate his staff

I am so glad that they have decided to add carne Asada to their menu. Again I ordered the taco salad and it met my expectations. I ate inside this time. To my surprise after I placed my order a boat-​load of people showed up.
Some of the tables needed cleaning, but other then that it passed. Some of the patrons sat outside and I should have too, because it was warm with just a little breeze.
I enjoy weather like that, hate when it’s hot.
I will be coming here more often as Taco Bell and I are not on good terms lately.

I totally love this grilled chicken. If you are in a hurry… this is totally worth a bit more money. It’s heaven to eat chicken that is not greasy. I love the side salad with creamy cilantro dressing. I have had the grilled corn which is sweet and smoky.
The mac and cheese is just okay… but I love the rice. I choose corn tortillas over flour and love most of their salsas. with the green sauce my fave.
This is our go-​to place for a fast yummy meal.

Food: it’s pollo loco. Love the chicken! Can never get enough if it. Love the pinto beans with a little kick.
Service: this location can not get their orders correct, the ticket is correct… but when I get home it’s all wrong. This has happened 6 times since October alone. They don’t even care to fix the problem either. They blame the customer first, and then take zero responsibility for their kitchen staff not being able to read the English language. Then put the order reader in Spanish. Solomente Blanco pollo! All white meat! Not difficult! Comprende?
