I’ve been here before and it was really good, then my boyfriend and I came here tonight and had exceptional service from Jennifer K. She was a great server and didn’t seem fake at all like I feel some servers are. We will definitely be requesting her again next time we come. Just all around great and if you love sushi you will love it here. We had fried soft shell crab as our appetizer and it was SO good! Comes with sweet and sour sauce which is delicious. I got the Italian Dragon roll and my BF got the Rainbow Crunchy Roll & then he was so hungry he got the SCS Roll which was probably the best one!

I went in there with a bottle of wine expecting to have a nice dinner. After being told about a corkage fee more than 3 times by different people, I didn’t even want to eat there anymore. I’ve never gone to a restaurant and been told so many times about a corkage fee that I walked in knowing I was going to happily pay. I felt was if they were treating me like k was stupid and they thought I didn’t have enough money to pay a fee? On top of that our waitress even asked if I needed our bottle to be opened? Than opened it and left the foil on and didn’t even bother to pour it! Terrible service, not a good way to treat your customers that just come in to have a nice dinner. Food was okay. I will not be coming back, I rather go to Shi Ra Soni.

I’ve been to Domo a few times and the food is consistently great. The restaurant is set up in a way where no matter where you are sitting there is privacy, which is awesome. Very diverse menu and probably my favorite staff out of all the restaurants I’ve been to. The lady we had tonight(wish I could remember her name, I just remember she had bangs and a light brown/reddish hair) was so kind and attentive without being too present. She really knows what she’s doing and she made a dining experience that was already good, fantastic. 5 stars as Domo is always on point!

We made reservations for New Year’s Eve and I didn’t read the reviews on here until a few hours before dinner so I was pretty nervous I didn’t know what to expect… I was pleasantly surprised our waiter was really nice I’m pretty sure he was new he seemed really nervous he did an excellent job though he gets 5 stars from us! The food was really good!!! My husband doesn’t like sushi so he got the beef teriyaki he said that was really good. The sushi was really good! We got 3 different rolls and they were all great!!! The reason I only gave 4 stars is because of the fried calamari it was super chewy it wasn’t warm and we got a lot of pieces and that we’re just batter. Other than that everything was great!!! We will definitely come back!

Had 8 piece nigiri sushi, $ 19, was adequate. Spicy tonkatsu ramen was adequate. Tonkatsu is a fried pork cutlet, but there wasn’t any such thing in the ramen. It came with two goyza(pot sticker like things) on the side, which was pretty stupid. Atmosphere is nice, but that’s about all. The food is on the expensive side for what you get. I might come back if desperate for Japanese in Stockton, but definitely won’t be a regular

Such a bad overall reviews on this restaurant. I’m supposed to go there for dinner but about to changed my mind. 12÷31− had dinner there. Service was awesome. We order dozen oysters and many others stuffs. I don’t recommend the OYSTERS. very fishy taste. But all all other foods was good.

Was here with my family today at 2pm lunch, not happy hour, just regular Saturday lunch only to find out that the teppan side isn’t open and they don’t have any chefs available. I don’t understand, you have a chef inside cooking and serving the same thing but you don’t have a chef for the teppan grill and the menu is full price except for bento boxes. What’s the point of having a teppan grill restaurant if teppan isn’t available half the time and teppan is more than half of your restaurant? Not only am I disappointed but so was my 8 year old whom loves this place. Not coming back unless it’s free.

I read Unilocal reviews before checking this place out and wasn’t too sure, but wanted a place with teppanyaki chef. We went on a Saturday afternoon-wasn’t very busy. We had really really great service! Our server was very attentive(but still gave us space) and our teppanyaki chef was very funny, entertaining, and cooked the food perfectly! We had tempura appetizers, sushi, and two entrees from the teppan table(TONS of food!!). The chicken was breast meat, not cheaper dark meat. And the steak portions were sizable and cooked exactly as ordered. My only suggestion would be to add edamame beans or tofu to the budda veggie delight-would be a simple way to add protein for vegetarians-could easily cook the tofu next to the veggies so it didn’t get mixed in for those who don’t like it or who ordered meat. Sadly I was unable to get fried rice or garlic fried rice as it’s cooked with beef broth, but everyone else loved it!

I’ve been here several times and each time I’ve been here, the service has consistently been terrible. I have experienced incidents where my friends and I had to ask the restaurant staff to bring a waiter to take our order after 30 minutes because they forgot we were there and we were waiting at our table for an hour and a half after taking our order and the chef didn’t even start to cook our food. I strongly recommend not coming here unless they change their customer service.

Worst service in the world. I would give it a zero if I could. Waited 2 hours for nothing. Don’t go here seriously. I’m just honest.

Here with reservations for a party of 15 and we’ve waited for over an hr for our chefs’ service. We ended up canceling all our orders and left to go to in n out. Outrages poor service. The only items that came out fast was the sushi which was only decent. I would not recommend this place.

The service was not that great. I asked my server for a California hand roll and she brought me a regular California roll. When I told her this was not what I ordered, she did not know what the difference was. It was fine that it was corrected, but she still charged me more for it, when it was mistaken. I understand that she was new, but to make a mistake on my order, and then charge me a greater price for it, I didn’t fcustomer service I also ordered the carpaccio and it was pretty much just regular/cooked steak. I did not like it and I still had to pay for it. $ 20 for a sub-par experience. I’m very disappointed I wasted my money today. Servers need to be trained more.

I gave DOMO a 2 star because 2 of our guests ordered the steak and chicken and unfortunately the steak had teriyaki on it. I ordered the Teriyaki Steak which was great because that’s what I wanted. They ordered the steak and chicken because they didn’t want teriyaki. The menu should indicate that it’s the same. I did let management know. They didn’t care. My first and last time going there.

SODISAPPOINTING!!! This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! The décor is warm and authentic and when we walked in and were seated, I had such high hopes… Maybe the food would have been easier to palate if the décor was as bland as it was. There is a bar you can sit at, regular seating for dining and hibachi tables. They have these gorgeous fish tanks too(see pics and also, this is the reason for the bluish coloring to everything; reflection from the tank). Unfortunately the menu is lacking; options are limited and simple. Don’t get me wrong, I love simple done well, but this seems more like laziness than expertise. Our server was overly attentive. Yes, they can be and it is just as annoying as under attentive! We were asked two order 3 times before we were ready and our conversation interrupted another 6 times before the meal was over. Serving is a skill, you need to pay attention to the needs of your customers, not just walk up to every table and ask questions making rounds. When our food came out nothing was what was expected. The rolls were big, but not in a good way. There were only a few servings of each but they were more than a mouthful and ended up falling apart half the time. They were also incredibly bland. Very disappointing. My companion ordered Unagi over brown rice and got a slab of eel the size of a steak drenched in sauce. The seaweed salad was also less than impressive. There are TV sets here and there and the noise level(even though the place was more than half empty) was ridiculous; twenty-somethings yelling and being obnoxious. Screaming with delight at seeing their friends and sake bomb after sake bomb complete with yelling and banging. We wanted a tasty dinner with some quiet ambiance to have a conversation over. This is not the place and we will not be back.

If you’re on a lunch break and have a hard time fussing about what to order, TRY their bento box! You can’t go wrong with the rice and salad. It’s about $ 8-$ 10. I ordered the chicken teriyaki for $ 7.95. It also comes with four pieces of SUSHI! Which should be enough to satisfy your small sushi craving :)

I had lunch here on a Monday around noon and there were only a few patrons. But even with this, I received less than average customer service. I was rarely checked on to refill my water, it took a few minutes for someone to greet me and my friend at the check-in, and my waitress took away my bento box without asking me if I was done. Great, she took initiative, but I was hem-hawing about whether or not I wanted that last california roll on my place. I think it’d be a bit more courteous to ask whether a person is finished or not before just whisking the plate away. Also, when led to our table, the concierge woman walked us in with a half-wave at the table we were supposed to sit at, then continued walking. At first, my friend and I were unsure if we were actually supposed to sit there or keep following her as she said NOTHING to us. The food was tasty and the restaurant itself is roomy and quite pretty. However, the menu is overpriced compared to other sushi places I’ve been to and the food quality doesn’t reflect the higher prices. There are better places in Stockton that serve better food, have better service, and offer slightly cheaper prices.

Stopped in for lunch after one of my friends suggested the place. Was really impressed by the restaurant. The restaurant has a beautify interior. Took advantage of their lunch special and got a couple of their bento boxes and a tuna roll. The bento boxes are huge! Bring your appetite. You get a big portion of food. Plus the boxes are only $ 10 bucks or less. Score!!! The food was good. Everything tasted fresh. I had the chicken katsu and it was good. Not the best I ever had, but very good. Haven’t tried their dinner yet, but will be back for sure to check it out.

Strolled right in at around 7:15 on a Friday. Pretty busy but got a table right away. Ordered a flight of sake and a salmon dish. Ordering a flight of anything exposes you to a myriad of tastes all in one order.(Me likes flights of drinks or food!) I liked the Haiku Premium Select. Salmon was on the dry side but still enjoyable. Salad was crisp and fresh, and the white rice mound was hot and good too. How can a billion people be wrong? Lol! Wasabi spiced everything up! I wasn’t very adventurous with my order but plan on doing something raw next time.

So, I really love their food here… Admittedly, we had arrived right before 2pm, and didn’t realize that their restaurant closed between lunch and dinner. But nevertheless, the gal welcomed us in, our server took or order, and we received our food promptly. Another lady(who I believe may be either the owner or manager) came by minutes later and brought our bill, and I told her«oh, I’m sorry we’re still eating», and she said, «They have to go and pick up their child at school». It truly isn’t my business why they needed to close, but I admit I thought to myself, how many«People» does it take to pick up your child?- Apparently I’m thinking all 3 – 4 employees that were at the restaurant needed to go along Again… I love their food, and this is nothing to do with the delicious food, but in my opinion, If I come in to patronize, sit, and enjoy a meal, if for some reason, you’re going to close down in less than 30 minutes, we should have been told this before being welcomed in. It would have been as simple as stating, «We’d love to serve you, but we are closing in 30 minutes, so we can do takeout, otherwise we apologize if we can’t accommodate.» and that would have given us the opportunity to consider staying or going elsewhere. We were rushed out so quickly, I didn’t even eat half of my salad… so disappointing…
