Deyoung Shoreline Chapel

You feel this wonderful peaceful sense of calm when you walk through the door. We were helped by Norma and Mathew. They were both very professional and sensitive of our situation. I have lived in Stockton my whole 44 years and have had many loved one’s pass away and Deyoung was the first place that always came to our families minds. Mathew mentioned a Prearranged Funeral Program. I never heard of this before. This program gave me a peace of mind. If you ever go here inquire about it. It’s something worth looking into if you don’t have a burial plan already. Thank you so much to Norma and Mathew for all their help. I highly recommend Deyoung Chapel for your loved one’s passing and funeral needs.

No one wants to have to plan a funeral but eventually we all will need one. I have used this funeral home twice now for people that I truly loved. The staff are very welcoming, sympathetic, and accommodating to all our needs. They work one on one with you to make sure your special someone has a wonderful last final goodbye. I believe they are experts in grief and are extremely patient and understanding. The facility itself is great. Clean, lots of parking, with the ability to accommodate many people. Beautiful landscaping and easy to find right off the freeway.

This is an amazing chapel. The staff is welcoming, kind, and patient. It is clean and hold only one service at a time. Even though eating is not allowed inside, they were forgiving when our family did so. They even stayed open longer upon request. There was a decent amount of seating and plenty of place for decorations in the front where the casket was. They were very kind for our religious beliefs as well. They made a slideshow (not at any request, they just asked for pictures) and played it in one of the rooms. They also have a projector to display any other request. They also provided notes for those who needed proof of attendance. If you ever need a chapel, this is a great place!
Also, it’s right off the freeway!

I came here yesterday morning to attend my grandmother’s funeral. This memorial chapel has a nice welcoming atmosphere to it. The staff are very nice and able to really anticipate the needs of family and friends who come here to honor their loved ones who have passed on to that other world. They really do treat their guests here with deep sincerity.
I like that there is a water cooler in the front lobby to which everyone is able to refresh themselves. Also there are 2 clean restrooms and 1 or 2 family rooms available. There is also only 1 memorial room so that there would only be one function at one time (which works perfectly for those who come here and are not lost in trying to find the right room).
The large memorial room itself is a nice large size and can hold about 150 people. There is a projector screen (also a monitor out in the front lobby) available to use (for an additional pay but of course) and a podium with microphone. There are also speakers that can be heard throughout the room.
This memorial chapel is pretty easy to get to, as it is right off the 5 freeway. But is a bit hidden, so you may have some guests that may have some problems finding it. Oh just thought I would mention that there are a few handicap parking spots right at the front of the entrance, to help shorten the walk for those who need it (as there were a few guests that came to the funeral that needed them).
Just as my grandmother’s funeral had gone smoothly and peacefully here, so did my grandfather’s funeral last year as well. With 2 grandparents now laid to rest, DeYoung Memorial Chapel was the perfect place to honor them and hold a special service for them.

Review a funeral chapel? Wow. kinda sad.
