I had just finished a week filled with midterms in pharmacy school… and was in serious need of a pedi for relaxation.
I went on Unilocal to search for a place that would still be open. I knew that my usual go-​to salon in Stockton would be well booked in advance. At 6 p.m., I knew that I couldn’t be picky about the location. Hmm… only 11 reviews. But 5 stars? I took a shot and called the phone number.
Athena texted me back immediately as she was with a client and couldn’t pick up the phone.
The shop is small, but very quaint. Only Athena works there, and she takes her sweet time with you. This isn’t your quick in– quick out place, where they herd you in, do a sloppy job, and quickly rush you out the door so that they can get their next client in. It also isn’t the type of place that will say yes to your appointment time, yet make you wait an hour when you come in.
Athena will tell you a time, and will be available for you at that time. She is willing to cater to her clients’ busy schedules– coming in early and staying super late.
Her standard pedicure comes with a sugar scrub, and it’s only $ 15! You will not find prices that beat this… anywhere! She takes her time, and is very thorough. Your nails will be perfectly shaped and groomed. Of course, I added on all of the extras that I possibly could: a mask, paraffin wax, and a hot-​stone massage. It came out to $ 30, but that’s still around what I would pay at any other location for even a basic pedicure… Yes, I tipped $ 25. I almost never do that. But for 2 hours worth of pampering, and staying WAY overtime, she totally deserved it.
For a nail salon, the quality of her leg massage was superb– far surpassing that of even spas. All I had to tell her was that I love massages, and she made it happen. She truly caters to all of your individual needs.
She has 2 kids at home, and works hard so that she can take care of her family. The hours on Unilocal say that she is open from 10 a.m.- 7 p.m., but she has been known to come in at 7 a.m., and stay until even midnight to cater to her clients’ schedules.
You will leave here feeling blissfully relaxed and pampered. I was a die-​hard fan of my previous nail salon in Stockton. But for these prices, and amazing one-​on-​one pampering, Dashing Nails has found a new regular!

Today was my first time coming in and she’s amazing! Very self sufficient and thorough. She enjoys taking her time so don’t rush her. Extremely sweet and relatable. Very clean and posh! I officially found my girl I’ll always come to!

Was looking for a Nail place close to me and found this little gem! She is really nice. Takes her time on you and does a great job overall. She is open everyday. Make sure you txt her to get an appointment. She texts back promptly!

Today my gf took me here to get a pedi & fill! I was well taken care of! Her service is awesome! For the price you pay & her quality of work is such a great deal! I love the fact she works alone & its quiet but its so much more relaxing when its not crowded.
She knew what I wanted done & did a good job!
Since shes the only one working it takes a lil longer but in the end the wait was worth it!

This shop (and the woman who owns it) deserves so much more praise than it/​she gets.
I’m always beyond satisfied with Athena’s work when I leave this place. She pays attention to your needs, listens to your requests, and goes out of her way to accommodate anything and everything could ever need. As she is currently the only person working, make sure you text her to book an appointment. She takes walk-​ins, but there’s a very good chance you might have to wait a little bit. She’s very flexible with times and is willing to even come in earlier or stay later to fit the needs of a customer. Athena’s work is not only gorgeous to the very last detail, but she also goes above and beyond for to take care of her customer. She takes her time when she’s doing her work — unlike a lot of other shops, where nail technicians seem to be in such a hurry. It is for these two sole reasons that I return; I would recommend anyone to try her out.
On top of of this, her prices are by far some of (if not THE) lowest place I’ve ever seen for a nail salon — $ 15 for a pedicure, $ 10 for a manicure, as well as other (more advanced) services (full sets, shellac manicures) that a nail salon noob like me is unfamiliar with for prices far below those I’ve seen at other salons in Stockton and DEFINITELY a lot lower than the salons in the bay area (where I usually am).
The atmosphere of the salon is cute — it doesn’t stink of weird nail chemicals like all other salons do (I don’t know how they do it??). It’s a lot smaller than your average salon; there are three salon pedicure stations (one for kids!) and two nail stations. There’s a TV that plays top 40 hits to give it a contemporary-​ish atmosphere, and a fireplace goin (I think it’s fake). It makes you feel like you’re sitting at home in your living room.
The next time you get your nails done — whether it be for a special occasion or just a day of pampering /​touching up, come to Dashing Nails. You’ll be glad you did.

She’s the best always patience and does a great job she has a flexible schedule, I have little ones so I come in early mornings Saturday’s or Sunday’s her prices are very fair I left the nail salon I’ve been going to since high school to come to dashing! :) she works alone so make an appointment!

This place is OPEN on SUNDAYS!
My experience here was great! The lady that did my nails (the owner) is nice and professional. She did an amazing job on my nails! Also, this place is clean and organized!
I was able to make a nail appointment on a Sunday at 7AM! Yes, you read right! 7AM!
One more great thing about this place is that they have a loyalty card! 5 visits and your 6^th service is $ 5 off! This place is a must try!

I called to see if the shop was open since it was Sunday and Athena said she would call me back if she had an opening within 30 mins she called back to let me she had an opening. Love how her response was so fast!

Great service! I followed this business on Instagram and finally made an appointment. The shop is very basic, but the service is OUTSTANDING! The owner takes her time, does EXACTLY what you ask and her prices can not be beat! She has a loyal customer now! Oh i have gotten soooo many compliments from my nails! They are amazing!

She takes her time to do nails! She works by her self and gives you all of her time. She doesn’t rush and makes sure your happy!

I absolutely love this place! Athena is amazing and great at what she does. Every time I have gone to her, she always takes me time and makes me feel super comfortable. I love how detailed she is about her work and how clean the salon is. Even though it is only her working, it is definitely worth the wait (if you have to wait).
I’ve recommended a couple of friends to her and they love her too! The shop is nice and clean and she always gets new clean tools for every client. She even takes them out in front of you so no worries about cleanliness. If you have a chance go and see her. Her prices are super reasonable too!
P. S. She’ll even ask if you want a reminder text or call the day before your appointment!

My daughter got a pedicure and me a full set. We are very happy with our services. Such a great price for what we got.
I will be back. New shop with new items I feel like we got a great experience. Yes it is a one person shop buy honestly the great work she does makes up for the little wait time I had. I hope this shop stays the same and doesn’t change a hidden jewel
