The worst Chinese food ever. Food was cold. Online menu was completely inaccurate. Placed our order & they didn’t tell us they don’t make it anymore. Gave us uncooked ice cold chicken instead. Food was bland. Will never go back! !!

Holy cow the food is horrible. Came here with a group of coworkers for lunch and decided to do a combination of dim sum and regular lunch dishes. Every dish was nasty, where do I even begin. The siu mai was rotten and sour, so the ground meat was not certainly spoiled and gave me stomach issues all afternoon and all night. That’s not even the beginnings, the house orange chicken was soooo salty that I gagged on the first half of the first piece. The deep fried pork chop had no flavor whatsoever and it was spongy and had a very weird after taste. The tripe dish was waaaay undercooked and bordering raw. The egg tards taste fine but was really cold and not very fresh. Service was extremely slow and very absent. The prices are reasonable but I still would not come back EVER!

The place where everyone seems to have their wedding in Stockton. This seems like the only place that almost all Chinese people eat at in Stockton. There’s another Chinese restaurant but my in-laws hardly go there. Service here is decent for a Chinese establishment. There large tables here run small, so they tend to stack all dishes on top of each other as the food comes out lightning fast. It almost seems like there is an army in the back cooking. Food taste pretty good and the portion sizes are big. The price for the set meals are pretty good. I’d say in terms of taste, it’s good for Stockton but just average compared to the bay area. The value here is in the price and portion size. You can feed a whole family of 10 for two meals with the set meals as long as you don’t finish it in the first sitting. Dim sum here is much better than the other competing restaurant next to SF Market. At one point they were running $ 1.50 for dim sum plates any size. The dim sum is your standard fare but at that price is a steal anyway you look at it.

Went for the deli and especially to pick up pineapple buns and egg tarts. Excellent! I like that they have dim sum to go daily!

This is a great place for a wedding. When it is draped and lit with uplighting it looks amazing!!! Very friendly staff, and good food.

This is my «go to» place for Chinese food these days. I love their soups, Hong Kong style chow mein, and a host of other goodies Service is friendly, and the restaurant is comfy and not too noisy. There are televisions on the wall but they are quiet. I think they should turn on closed captioning. I tend to order the same things. I tried their Potstickers this time… but I wasn’t crazy about them. They are a bit on the doughy side… but the soup was delicious. I love the crunchy water chestnuts, plump shrimp along with a few greens and thin sliced chicken I usually add chile oil to add some heat. If you haven’t tried this place it’s worth stopping by. They also have a nice banquet room for receptions and private parties.

We were visiting family a few weeks back and we ended up going out to chinese since no one felt like cooking. So the family suggested going to this place. It’s been so long since I have been here. The place is located on West Lane and March Lane. The restaurant is decorated in the more traditional chinese décor. It is on the older side. An update may be needed. When we arrived, we were greeted and taken to our table in the banquet room which was partially closed off. There were quite a few tables. We ordered one of their special chinese family dinners. It took a little while for the meal to come out. After the 2nd item hit our table, the rest of our items seemed to come out all at once. Not sure what happened. Our order was an 8 item meal: Fishball with Chives Green Beans Salt & Pepper Pork Eggplant with Shrimp Paste Lobster Chow Mein Roasted Chicken Honey Walnut Prawns ??(I can’t remember the last item) Overall, food is good. Some work on the service is needed. But overall, food was not bad.

First timer here. So we walked in and placed a to go order. The restaurant portion was slammed however the to go area was decent. We spent 30 minutes waiting in the to go area. As the plates came in we saw they placed them on the counter. They looked ready. The thing is that a worker was talking for minutes on the phone delaying our order. That’s the only down side. Food was ok.

Don’t come here for service just come for the food. Dim sum is served Sat and Sun via rolling carts and by order on weekdays. Booth seating don’t get much dim sum cart action so try sitting in the back.

I’m a usual here and have been coming since I was like 5 years old. Food has been constantly great, but recently their dim sum doesn’t taste like how it was before. The Pork Dumplings tasted a little off today and so did the 1000 year old egg soup. Other than food tasting different, service and people are very nice and always there when we needed them. For some reason, dim sum isn’t pushed around in carts anymore(or maybe they didn’t have it today) so they made us order by filling out a paper. The point of dim sum are the carts! Please change your recipes back to the original!

I’ve eaten here before & I and my Chinese wife always enjoy the atmosphere & especially the food. My opinion is that their special show me in is the best in town, the place has a large banquet room, a special menu in Chinese for large groups. Also, they have a «to go» section in front.

Currently at China Palace for a wedding… Wow the food kept coming and coming!!! From mixed salad plate, shrimp/battered crab, mini chickens, a duck with buns was awesome! Along with battered crabs… Whewww! Good food I say.

I was a regular; I go at least twice a month. But after today’s experience, I’m never setting foot in there again! The service today was beyond poor. The waiter was rude, food was cold(leftover dimsums) but they didn’t even bother to warm them up for us, and then my son found hair in this chow fun roll. When tried to ask the waiter about the status of our food, he didn’t bother to listen to us. Hungry but more angry, we paid for whatever on the table and walked out. Never coming back.

This place is HORRIBLE ! They booked two receptions at the same time in the same room. What kind of a moron would do that? The food was an hour late and they brought everything at once and it wouldn’t all fit on the tables. I’m NEVER going to this place again for any reason.

This place doubles as a restaurant and a fast food take out service. Service: the employees were friendly and accommodating since we ordered a lot of food. The food was served relatively fast for the amount of the order. Food: the dim sum items on the carts were okay for me(we came for a late lunch so the items were barely warm and I prefer my dim sum steaming warm). We ordered many items off of the menu: HK style pan fried noodles, honey walnut prawns, kung pao chicken, fried rice, fried tofu and lobster. All of these items were good and hot but the ones that stood out were the fried noodles and the lobster. The flavor was tasty and kept me coming for more. Overall, good food with great service

I spent way too much at China Palace this past weekend. The cuttlefish with XO sauce was pretty good. Not overcooked, not over salted. It looks a little spicy, but it’s not enough to make you sweat, which is good, because both times we ate there this weekend, they never came by to check up on us and refill our waters. My dad actually got up with my water glass and went over to the kitchen with it. The half chicken with minced garlic, ginger and scallion in oil was good. The skin came off pretty easily, and it wasn’t overcooked or oversalted. The lobster($ 25) was overcooked, chewy and bland. Definitely disappointing, because it’s lobster and I expect it to be sweet and succulent. The egg white and dried scallop fried rice($ 13.95) was spoiled/sour. The clams with black bean sauce can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it’s super salty and really difficult to eat. Sometimes it’s overcooked and tough as well. Not my favorite. For the past few months, it’s been a regular special($ 6.95 from $ 9.95). Here’s a tip for understanding the charge for hot tea. If you order only dim sum, they charge you $ 1/person for hot tea. To avoid the charge, you have to order something cooked to order, like a plate of fried rice or chow mein. There’s no charge for tea during dinner, as everything is supposedly cooked to order. The women’s restroom was disgusting over Father’s Day weekend. Father’s Day isn’t as busy as Mother’s Day, but every stall was out of toilet paper and seat covers. It’s a Chinese restaurant with lots of Asian customers, so make sure to check the seat! The restroom floor never looks clean. Ewwwwwwww! Hike your pant legs up! Unless you are a fan of cardboard, skip the buns in the bakery. The freshly steamed buns on the dim sum carts are better. I’m not a fan. I’m totally over this place. I wish my parents were too, but unfortunately, there’s not a lot of dim sum cart places in Stockton.

3 ½ stars My first choice for Chinese would be Yen Du… second, Dynasty. BUT…since I l.o.v.e. DEALS, how could I pass up ½ price family dinners. Now through Feb. 6, 2013. It was crowded…30 to 45 minute wait at 7 pm. I was determined to eat there tonight… so I waited. Ordered the China Palace dinner for 2(yes, lotssss of leftovers) Corn chowder soup with bits of chicken(i call it corn starch soup) — 3 stars Special fried rice — 4 stars Broccoli and beef. Lots of beef and quite tender — 4 stars Deep fried butterflied prawns — Not a lot of flavor, needs different batter — 3 ½ stars Kung Pow Shrimp? i think that’s what it was called… well too much heat for this gringo. I should have known that«pow» translates to «wait till that heat hits you» in Chinese! A nice amount of shrimp though — 4 stars Overall…a great deal at half-price. Give ‘em a try. It should be less busy on a weekday.
