We’re always in search of a good Friday breakfast– this is not it. Burned bacon, burned country potatoes, rubbery biscuits. My friend’s omelette was so floating in grease that it was inedible. Chairs were filthy, as were all of the condiment bottles & our server’s apron. To their credit, my poached eggs were well prepared(likely because they never touched the dirty grill) and they refunded some $ for the omelette. Serve yourself coffee was ok. In my opinion you can pass on by this spot.

This is probably thee only place i eat breakfast at. I order the monster meat eaters plate and it fills me up the whole day. Never can go wrong with the place. Just like home made breakfast grandma use to make. Thanks. Try it yourself

I went here for breakfast. First off, the waitresses are not that inviting. We had to wait for a table because it was packed but they had empty tables in the back side of the room. Which apparently you have to make a reservation for?.. What? Idk if that’s what those tables are for but that’s really dumb. This place is not fancy, it is in extreme need of a makeover. So why would I want to pay extra for a reservation for a place that looks sooo dirty. The drawings on the wall are ugly(sorry but some vintage posters & advertisements would look so much nicer) they need to make this place into a old time diner like the old days, fix it up with new décor and tables and chairs. Everything needs to be cleaned it looks like no one has cleaned the place in 20 years. The menus are dirty, everything looked dirty. Now onto the food. The food is why I’m giving them 3 stars. It’s ok food. I liked the biscuits in gravy. I ordered the chicken fried steak. It was huge, took it home for lunch. They load it up with country gravy yummyyyyy! The omelet was not good just disappointing and dry. Overall it’s an ok needs to be cleaned kinda place, I would go back for the food. Not the waitresses or to dine in and watch tv. Just get my food and get the hell out of there.

cheap and good food… self serve water and coffee, when we are in Stockon we come here and its pretty good food for the price, I don’t really care for the sausages, but the bacon is soooo good, thick and crispy, just the way I like. Iam vry picky about my ketchup, and they have hunts, which is notnmy favorite. the décor is ummmmm, outdated… but otherwise, its cool… great pancakes…

This was our first time eating here. We always drive pass and say«One day were going to have to eat there for breakfast.» I finally decided I’m going to go in and order us some breakfast!. So glad we did because the food was the bomb! The portions are very generous. The pancakes are huge! Definitely bring your A Game for this one. The people are friendly. I ordered to go and the ONE pancake I ordered was so big it came in a pizza box! I couldn’t believe my eyes! Lol I ordered a Denver omelet for myself. Came with hash browns or country potatoes and toast. It was really good. They don’t skimp you that’s for sure and the price was right on!

Just got back from breakfast… my order took forever, I knew the(13 oz) steak wasn’t that big, so I didn’t eat it, I bought it home and weighed it. 5.6 oz ! The rest of the meal was ok. Total BS

Had high hopes for this place, but left unimpressed. Got the Ortega omelet, which was a generous portion size, but was just missing something in the flavor department. Possibly some nice salsa to compliment the Ortega chilis would have done a lot for this dish. My toast was burnt to a brick. You would need to soak it in a bowl of butter to break through that charcoal coating. I will give this place another try however, the french toast and pancakes(which are HUGE) look pretty tasty.

Best breakfast in town! Pancakes are the size of a large pizza and about an inch thick! Bacon has ruined all other bacons for me, I’ll only eat their bacon now! Love to support small family run businesses! Everything here is just like home! Love all the old things inside to look at, old pictures, albums about stocktons history. It’s a lot of fun!

OMG! What happened. I remember this place from many years ago as our go-to sandwich shop. Italian foods, little shopping area. Went there the other day for breakfast, what the Hell? Dirty dirty dirty dirty. Cluttered. Furniture looks like it was all salvaged from side of the road. No charm. Staff was great, food burnt… unreal. Such as waste. Stockton needs a good deli with charm. This used to be it, this should be closed. Looks like no one cares.

Excellent service, prompt seating, decent food, i dont mind getting my own cofee since i drink it like water anyways. The owners always take time out to say hello and ask how were doing. I recommend this place for breakfast and lunch. Bobs bunz are shlappy

Love the food, and staff is friendly, my waffle was huge and it was cooked to perfection, I went early in the morning and I could tell that they’re were a lot of regulars there. I love that this place opens at 5am. It feels like you are in someone’s personal kitchen which I Like, the only downside is the place is a bit messy and cluttered, some areas were a bit dusty. I would give this place a five star reveiw if it were a bit more tidy.

Love this place! Their French toast is made from French bread! My favorite style! They are welcoming accommodating and always have friendly service! Their pancakes are no joke! Size of a small pizza and their country gravy is really good! The help yourself to coffee and water also rocks!

This place by far is the best place around to eat and get a great meal. Its a family ran business. The people are great that work there. There is not that many places you can go to were you feel like your at home. Pancakes are huge and good. My favorite is the cornbeef hash. Its not the can cornbeef its the real thing. So if you are looking for a great family experience and great food go check this place out. Its great.

Place was disappointing, first and last time going there. Steak and eggs was not good. Omelette was nasty. The waffle was the only good thing on our table. Not worth it

The food used to be good for the price but ever since they raised their prices it has gotten worse. Last time I ate their my eggs were over cooked, pancake was still raw in the middle and the potatoes were raw. GROSS!

This review is about my 2nd and probably my last visit to Casagrandes. My 1st visit was somewhat okay and I figured I’d give them another shot. As we walked in a waitress told us to sit anywhere we like along the window. What seemed to be funny about that suggestion of where to sit was, there was only one other table being used and we were being directed to only sit along the window. The tv was loud and that made it difficult to hear what was being said at my own table. Finally, after a few strange glances from me to the waitress, she noticed that the loud volume was a bother and she turned it down a «very» little. The taller server of the two that were there that day was very friendly and spoke to us well. Meanwhile, the other one(with piercings) was cold and made us feel uncomfortable. This place is disgustingly filthy. The ceiling fans are caked up with years of dust and dirt. The window sills and windows were so nasty and appear to never get a wipe-down. The dining room looks like an old«gone out of business» storage room turned antique shop turned deli turned into a old-tyme kitchen.(I meant to spell TYME too!) The furniture looks like Fred G. Sanford himself furnished it right out of his junkyard. I mean, really? No effort was put into the design and ambiance to provide a nice setting for customers to enjoy. All of the condiments at the table had greasy finger prints and smudges of food on them. The silverware was dirty and the coffee was mediocre warm/room temp. Oh, and the idea of self-serve coffee and water should probably be a health/sanitary violation too. Furthermore, should the coffee actually be «HOT» one day and customers are up and about making their way to and from the self-serve coffee/drink bar, I would think that could be a burn hazard for the other dining customers seated. During our stay several customers cough, sneeze, etc etc and then go up and handle the coffee pot, the one that«EVERYONE» else has to pick up to serve themselves coffee. GROSS!!! It’s beyond me how so many people can overlook so many flaws when it comes to a place they’re being served food. I will never eat here again!!! I’m sorry Casagrandes but you need to be on the show, «Restaurant Impossible» and Chef, Robert Irvine needs to help you with a major make-over!!!

This place is pretty cool. It has self serve coffee and water, which are complimentary. You can even choose your mug. There are a lot of people who are regulars. It’s really nice. As for the food, I ordered chicken fried steak with sauce on the side with eggs and hash. My hash was slightly burned. Minus one star for that. But I still ate it. My bf always ordered his eggs over medium and this place was the first place that actually did it! Kudos! Large portions too!!! The lady who rang us up let us split the bill even though they have a sign that says they for. She said she’ll do it just this once.

This easily became my fave go-to breakfast spot for weekends with my boyfriend. Good food, lowish prices, and with that local small business charm. I would always either get the Belgian waffle, stack of regular sized pancakes, or their generously plated french toast and a side of also generously plated hash browns. Love their hash browns. However, their waffle batter now seems watered down as well as the self-served coffee. And they’ve raised their prices on most, if not all, items by at least $ 1 — and to us, just didn’t seem quite worth it as many other meal items are also super greasy(like eggs, omelet, potatoes, etc). But their french toast is still top notch! And yes, sometimes service is a bit under par. And they also don’t offer any options for sides of fruit :(

Not impressed… with the food. The corned beef hash with eggs was lacking corned beef hash. There was quite a bit of liquid on the bottom of the plate. Not a lot of flavor. Had bell peppers and onions mixed in with the corned beef… cannot order it with out them. Sucks When I order corned beef hash, I want to eat and TASTE corned beef hash. The six egg four meat omlet was big… but again, lacking meat. With four meats you might expect an overabundance of meat… not so. Friendly quaint place… but lacking on the food we ordered today. Might go back again and try something else. Saw a pancake another diner was trying to consume. You think Chucks has big pancakes? Here they are TWICE the size. Friendly service… the cook comes out and checks on you. Decent prices. Good size servings… But not 3 or 4 stars this trip…
