After enjoying Dok Shons for many, many years and a couple of owners. I am sorry to see it closed for good. Permanently Closed! :-(

A wonderful, classic dog. Service is fast, friendly, and the ingredients are fresh and cut right in front of you. The dogs are not your average size, they stick out of both ends of the bun, and the chili dog is served with a fork and knife. The gentleman is very friendly and has a great lunchbox collection on display. I would recommend Dok’s on the nostalgia alone, but then you add in the dogs… Love it!

Owner operated. One of a kind. Dogs that snap when you bit into them.

I have been going to Dok Shoons since I was a kid. There is no better hot dog around, period. I now drive quite often from Sacramento to have one and while Bud is no longer with us, his tradition of great food continues. Thanks Bud!

The perfect hot dog. This fine establishment has two menu items: a hot dog and a chili dog. Both are great. A 96(or so) year-old man(Bud, I presume) makes your dog. He places your dog(the kind with natural casing that snaps when you bite it) into the bun, then slices a fresh tomato and onion and adds the slices. It doesn’t get any fresher than that.(Never mind what’s actually in a hot dog, I was talking about the veggies.) Get one while Bud’s still around!
