Finding a cockroach in the bathtub and our full size International Penski Truck Illinois plates and the car hauler has a grayish silver Malibu with Georgia plate with my Father remains in the car. I want him back! His was just killed two weeks ago in a car crash. The service could have been more polite and the room wasn’t very clean.

I was always hesitant to stay in hotels lower than 3 stars but with last minute decision to stop in Stockton, I saw this place from the highway and it was inviting. The hotel is very open, clean and properly maintained outside. It shows how the management care about keeping the place at its best with the beautiful plants and roses. not a single dry leaf on it. I thought, I’d only last a couple days, and it’s been 3 weeks. I wasn’t even gonna write a review just because I’m always busy but seeing them put in so much work day in and day out to keep this place clean and to accommodate their guests the best way they can, they deliver more than hospitality. They make sure you feel like home. I’ve never had a problem walking late at night to the surrounding stores. I guess if you don’t look for trouble, you won’t find none, simple as that. I’m here for business and currently occupying 3 rooms. We are used to staying at Sheratons, Hyatts, Marriotts… I’m glad I gave this place a second look and came in because with the less cost of the room comparing to the ones I mentioned above, the service is personalized catering to every single guest to make each and every guest a part of the family, feeling like you’re at home. This place is very clean. I’m OCD, I lysol and disinfects everything. Everywhere you go, you can’t control the spills the shoe dirt and so of course there will always be stains here and there but I noticed that they take it out as soon as they see it. Laundry room has 2 washers and 2 dryers. Continental breakfast with waffles, fruits, cereals, bread, juice and milk quite a few selections. Fridge and microwave, spacious rooms, flat screen TV! I can go on and on about this place. I actually have nothing bad to say about this place. I highly recommend it to visitors and if you’re in doubt after reading mixed reviews, you have to come, see and experience it for yourself because people that complains, will complain about anything.

Do not believe the online hype with tiny photos to make a choice. The only good thing about this location is the nice husband/wife who run it. Security is extremely weak with poorly maintained locks and easy access for non guest. The carpet was dirty and sticky, the air condition barely worked. The bath room smelled like Raid. The breakfast was a joke with little choice and unhealthy. Restaurants of any quality, in this area are not to be found. Plenty of junk food. This area of town has really declined in last few years. Many questionable types of people hanging around. It is sad to see what has happened to the area.

Keep driving to Sacramento for a safe, clean stay. Many homeless people walking late night in parking lot. Security is non existant. I had my car broken into and items stolen. Rooms were not clean, No value staying at this pigpen. There is a reason why they have vacancies. PIGPEN!!!

I stayed there for 2 nights. Pros: – Free internet in room. There is an ethernet cable but the wireless also works. – It’s decent enough for the price(around 70−80/night before taxes). – It’s clean on the inside. – The shower curtain rod is the kind that curves outwards in the middle and so when you take a shower, the curtain doesn’t cave back in and stick to your skin. – A lot of food/restaurant options around the hotel. – Friendly staff. – Breakfast included(cereals, drinks, mini muffins, and you can make waffles) Cons: – It’s definitely on the noisy side, right next to highway 5. – Even though room is marked as non-smoking, there was residual old smoke smell. – There is only one open power socket near the bathroom sink, non near the beds or desk(this affected how much I could work on my laptop). – The clientele was slightly… um, let’s just say I kept my shades drawn the whole time I was there(more on this later). The comfort Inn is right next to the March Lane highway exit(on the east side of the highway). You can’t miss it if you’re coming off of the highway. But, to get there from the other direction(if you’re coming from the east and driving west on March Lane), you may have problems the first couple of times because you can’t make that left turn into the parking lot with the lane divider there, you can’t U-turn at the intersection, and the left turn lanes all lead back onto highway 5. This is not a very good description, I’m afraid… There are probably many ways to get around this. What I ended up doing was taking a left into another street a block before I saw the Comfort Inn, and squiggling around the back parking lots of other stores and restaurants to get to the hotel. Anyway, I’ll stay there again if I have to, and I have to again next week. A couple of words on the clientele(at least for the days that I was there). Many of the men were smoking right outside of their rooms(on the outdoor balcony/hallway) and drinking beers. They were keen on checking out all the ladies who passed before them. Personally, I don’t want any drunken lechers checking me out and then knowing exactly which room I am heading into. *shudder* This could be a «Stockton» thing, who knows. There is a security guard who works nights and walks around the parking lot. His presence was somewhat reassuring. He wasn’t old and overweight and sitting in a corner talking on his cellphone, he was actually walking around, doing his job.
