The only bad things about this practice are that it’s in Stockton, a lot of the patients are rude and not fun to sit in a waiting room with, and the waiting room is always packed. There is a separate waiting room but it’s usually for infants. Dr. Ahmed is awesome. He’s very perceptive and can say a lot with few words. I like that he shares things that he doesn’t have to. For instance, he was running very late one day and everyone was so irritated in the waiting room. Well turns out he was late because he was on call when a fatal accident involving an infant happened. He was very human about it, not desensitized, and that impressed me. He speaks, if I remember correctly, 6 languages, is extremely knowledgable with my sons rare condition(before this doctor, the previous pediatrician literally brought in a med student and they took turns asking me all about his condition and taking notes, and examining him like a lab rat), and has dry humor. Another thing I like about him is he doesn’t push stimulants on kids. My 7 year old is very hyper, has impulse control issues, and everything else typical with ADHD. His father and I are very against meds for ADHD. What kid isn’t hyper and acts impulsively? I’ll take that over a lazy overweight couch potato child any day. The doctor totally blew off even discussing meds for him. Kids like my son need to get out of the house and do things, not take kid crack. So many professionals are quick to recommend drugs to kids. Too hyper? Drug em. Too inverted? Drug em. Too depressed? Drug em! I can’t stand this growing obsession with putting kids on prescriptions so it’s very refreshing to have a pediatrician who’s not like that. One last thing, if you’re going here on welfare, you’re already getting a free handout and the doctor is not making as much as he would if he didn’t accept medi-cal so if you have to pay a fee for certain things like forms, I don’t see what the big deal is. All things considered, his practice deserves a 5 star rating.

Horrible practice always have to wait way after your appointment and waiting room is usually standing room only! And it’s hot no matter what time of the year… Warehouse doctor beware! Every visit an excuse for short staff. They charge money to fill government forms for public school!

Every time I bring my children in for a visit there is a new sign posted regarding what they are going to charge you for. Pay to fill out state required school forms? Sure. Cancel your appointment for 10 minutes late? Check.(understandable though) And don’t get me started on the doctors response time. Do not try to get your sick child in either. You are better off going to an urgent care. My children have been coming here since the beginning. Dr. Ahmed is, to his credit, great with my kids. He remembers their names, and has a great bedside manner. HOWEVER, his office, is old, the staff turn over seems to be very high, and if you have had the misfortune to speak with the doctors wife on the phone when calling the office, I feel your pain. I am not sure if she is still working in the office but she was always a real treat to deal with. A helpful hint here for you: only schedule appointments the first appointment of the day or the first appointment after lunch, and come early because there WILL be a line outside the door waiting to get in to sign in in. It is a freaking free-for-all. So here are my nice things to say, and they are few unfortunately. 1.) Michelle in the front office is AWESOME. She has been there for 11 years and watched my children grow up. 2.) Dr. Ahmed is great with the kids. Seriously, I really like the guy. I am dissatisfied with the practice because of: poor response times to calls(actually no response to calls) inability to get my children seen if they are ill, crappy office policy, and some rude staff. This was going to be a one star review, but I like dr. Too much for that however I feel I am going to have to change pediatricians. :-(

Best Pediatric in Stockton. Very caring and intelligent. He’s never in a hurry to rush you out of the room. He takes his time to explain things to you clearly and answer any questions of concerns you have. Takes good care of his patients and their families.
