We ate here a while back and it’s been hard to bring myself to knock a hometown business. We ate here for lunch. I felt that menu was lacking; I just couldn’t find anything on the menu that made me think we made a good dining choice. My wife ordered a turkey and cranberry sandwich and a salad. I ordered a burger with fries. Burger had no flavor and fries were worse. we also ordered their version of onion rings, which were overpowered by some awful tasting seasoning. I asked our waitress about the fries and she said they were just frozen fries from a bag. She said she’d tell somebody about the fried onions. I just don’t get it… I would rate the fries, onion rings and burgers at Eskimo Joe’s at a 4. Why not just follow their lead and work out the bugs on the other menu items. As bad as the food was our bill with tip was a little over $ 30. We have no plans to go back.

Not impressed. The atmosphere was nice, rock and roll theme, bowling alley, good waitstaff but the food sucked. Mike had the patty melt, I had the bacon avocado burger. The patty melt bread wasn’t toasted, and nothing was well seasoned.

Great food! Great service! Hamburgers are so good! Plus I like them playing Rock and Roll.

It is the saddest chicken fried steak I have ever had, the tots are pretty good, a little overpriced and their tall drafts are one heck of a deal! Overall I really miss Josesepis, even though I can’t spell it.

This place is a step up from Applebee’s and that is really not a compliment. Their burger seemed to come straight from the freezer to the bun. The tater tots seemed to be on sonic level and everything else was nothing great. Would really recommend going to Eskimo joes before stepping foot in here.

Excellent bar atmosphere and food. Don’t go for the cheese tots… the sandwiches and drinks are great. We loved the BBQ burger and buffalo chicken sandwich.

Great place. It was cool to see bowling alley inside. We ordered fried pickles. The are unique as in they are thick sliced. Great flavor. Chicken fried stack was awesome open pot roast was great and I think my son only said“This is awesome«and we never heard from him again to dessert time. French onion soup was perfect. Daughter had the buffalo chicken sandwich and she was happy also. The service was great, the atmosphere was a winner. OSU!!! Go Pokes!

The burger was tasty and plenty. The tots were plentiful and there was no sparing of cheese, sauce or bacon. The wait staff handled themselves well. The new atmosphere screams high quality place. The only complaint I really have is everything is a buck or two over priced. However if you enjoy splitting your meals with someone else, you will like this place.

I’ll start by stating we didn’t have a bad experience, so this isn’t a rant. In summary, we weren’t impressed and the place will now be closer to the bottom of places to eat in town. Interior: You can easily recognize this place used to be Joseppi’s when you walk in. Bowling area looked nice, but it was packed. Food: I ordered the Vegas steak and my wife ordered the catfish. The catfish was meh, and my steak was not good. Was cooked alright, but too much black pepper and could of passed as roast beef. Besides the entrees, you’ll notice the menu focuses on tater tots. My interest was peaked as they must be special to be the main appetizers offered. Verdict… they’re just tots. Same thing you get at Sonic. Drinks: They have a nice drink selection, but considering we don’t drink much we rely on pictures(don’t laugh). Their menu doesn’t have any pictures so it would be a shot in the dark. This is also a problem if we wanted to go just for bowling and drinks. We would just hit up Frontier. Staff: Server and hosts were very friendly, so that’s a plus.

Housed in what used to be Joseppi’s, another of the Eskimo Joe restaurants, is this new bowl and grill concept. It’s got a few bowling lanes, a few arcade games, and a few large television screens. The atmosphere is a bit plain, particularly when compared to the other Joe’s offerings. Service was mediocre, which was surprising since the staff from Joseppi’s was kept during the construction/transition. The food was overpriced for what it was, microwaved chicken and glorified tater tots. The food here is on par with its neighbor and sister restaurant, Mexico Joe’s. The original, Eskimo Joe’s, is great… not sure why the other restaurants fall so short in quality. We were sad to see Joseppi’s close after finally perfecting it’s menu after years of mediocrity. Best bet? Go to Eskimo Joe’s and give MoJo’s several years to work out the menu and raise the food quality.
