This place is fantastic. Don’t ever eat at the lodge. Come here. The service is fabulous. The servers are friendly and attentive. The food is amazing. Had an appetizer, fish and chips and salmon alfredo. All to die for. My husband had a margarita that was perfectly made. Coffee was hot. You can’t go wrong. Hailey was the best waitress and bartender. Seriously come here!

This place was a gem. My boyfriend and i spent the afternoon hiking and visit g the gorge and really wanted a good local spot to grab a bite. Took a chance on Big River Grill after seeing their reviews looked sold and they did not disappoint. Our server was prompt and friendly. I have to agree that they might have one of the best reuben sandwiches in the gorge! I brought half to work the next day and all of my coworkers(who are cooks) were jealous. The sweet potato fries were so yummy too. I think the only think i could have possibly missed was a pickle! My boyfriend ordered the smoked salmon pasta seen in the photos and that was pretty amazing too. The salmon was perfectly smoked and the pasta was rich and creamy and cheesy. Very satisfying. If you find yourself hungry after a day checking out the falls, Big River Grill is a nice place to end up.

Came into your establishment today from a long ride from Portland on the motorcycles. When we KMan we wanted a seat near the window and they have an empty table called the waiting table and we asked to sit at the window seat and nobody knew what to do and they finally let us do it. It seem like an issue with the bartender but we sat there anyway. My husband put a review in and said that we were rude and the customer say we were rude to the employees. We could not have been nicer with anybody there than we were. As we sat at our table we waited for the waitress and realized she never knew we were even there I had. Finally I had to leave my seat to go find a waitress so we can put in our order. The waitress said I didn’t even know you were there. So we continued and put in our order and in a couple minutes the bartender came to our table and told us we are out of the beer you want. My husband said to him you said that last time we were here and he replied well I’m sorry we don’t carry that anymore. The bartender acted like he had a Nishu with us. It’s like do you have it or just don’t carry it anymore it was very confusing. So he offered other beers for us which really we didn’t like because we were not interested in anything else. I could not finish my beer because it made me sick to my stomach and I was very uncomfortable while eating my lunch. During the time we were there the waitress never came once to our table to see if we needed anything. That makes me wonder how could they say we were rude to them when we never even spoke to them the whole time we were there, except the beginning when we first walked in the door. Finally we got our check and we asked do we have to pay tax to Washington because we live in Oregon and had our ID and the bartender says we are not set up for that yet. I think that upset him because he said pay what you want then go. Paying the bill wasn’t really the issue it was just wondering if we had to pay Washington tax it was no big deal we paid and left a tip. Then we get a message back on Unilocal saying I hope you never come back because we were rude to your employees and customers. Bringing your customers into this situation is the worst thing you can do I have never been in a place that ever said anything like that in my life to me or my husband. this sounds like a very good place to stay away from, from now on. We have been going there for years and this will be our last. We are good people the bartender said the waitress was only there for two days so he must really know her well we like going to your restaurant but we feel like we were ignored because we wanted to sit by the window the bartender treated us with no respect don’t know why that place is a good place to eat that’s why we ride to your restaurant from Portland The bartender said she was there for two days and does not know how to do her job he said if you were weren’t leathers they will ignore you apparently the last time we were in before this we were not were in leathers and we asked for the window seat and they give it to us with no problem you do the math

Renowned for mediocre food at slightly higher than normal prices, BRG did not disappoint. Two very thin and chewy ribeyes, salad and desert, plus tip… a hundred bucks. If you’re in Stevenson looking for a decent meal, you’ll be happier with another choice.

By far the best breakfast spot around. They have vegetarian options which is awesome, and the best chocolate chip pancakes I’ve ever had. Service was also fantastic. We will come back any time we are in Stevenson.

Traveling through Stevenson on my way to go hiking, I stopped for a bite to eat. First time here, and glad I came in! I had the Salmon Cakes, which are obviously house-made with true PNW salmon. The outside was nice and crunchy, while the inside was delicious, soft, and flavorful. They have a robust selection of beer & cider, a decent bar, and a short wine list featuring nearly all Columbia River Gorge wines. The service was excellent! The bartender/server was perhaps the most genuinely nice guy I’ve had the pleasure to do business with a long very long while. If I’m hungry the next time I drive through town, I will definitely come back again!

Small, mediocre menu, but the food was good, at least. The Soup of the Day was supposed to be served in a sourdough bread bowl but they were out of bread bowls, even though it was a slow Sunday afternoon. The garden salad comes in a pretty big bowl and the Reuben sandwich was big and tasted terrific.

This place was excellent and amazing! The atmosphere is great, very cozy and comfortable. The service was wonderful. The food was the best part. We ordered omelettes and steak for breakfast. The omelettes were the best we as a group have ever had. The ingredients were so FRESH. No frozen stuff here. Obviously just freshly picked and cut chunky vegetables, and a great fresh cut of high quality steak. This will be an absolute go to each time I’m passing through.

Popped over the bridge to have lunch in Washington after hiking in the gorge. Salmon Caesar, veggie burger, some kids Mac and cheese and tater tots. Super nice service and staff. Food was pleasant. Lenience is kitschy cute; the walls are lined with humorous vanity license plates. You’ll do fine popping in here.

We were out in the area on a day trip and this restaurant came recommended by those that know the area. We arrived on a Saturday at 4 pm and were seated quickly. We ordered pints of the Walking Man IPA. This beer was good, a little hoppy which we like, and a mellow bitter note in the finish. Watch this one because it’s got a little punch at 7.5% alcohol. We had burgers, the #2& #3. #2 was a Tillamook chedder, green chilies and smoked bacon. The bacon was super crispy. The #3 featured grilled onion and mushroom with Swiss cheese. Both burgers were excellent, very flavorful and very good quality Angus beef patties. My side was the French fries which were extra crispy with some sort of interest coating, I like them very much. There are two reasons why I am not giving five stars. The first reason is that my companions side, black bean chili, arrived at the table less than room temperature. The second reason for not getting 5 stars is that no one came by our table early into eating, to ask is how things were. We had the flag someone down to let them know the chili was in need of warmth. Heated up it was much better. Even still, the black bean chili was lacking«umami,» a fancy way of saying it was missing sometime. Yes, we’d return.

Décor is themed, serves as entertainment while you wait, as service is a little spotty and everything is slow. Not the friendliest spot, and we were promptly looked at upon entering but neither waitress addressed us for awhile until finally just telling us it’s a 15 minute wait… Which they might have said to begin with. Onion soup came luke warm with the cheese not melted, onions not melting either. Salmon in the salad was a little dry and tasted bland, mustard dressing has good flavor though. Dad got the Reuben which was much better. Oozing and melted and hot. Fries were also quite crispy and good. Food overall not bad foodwise. Just be prepared to wait. Good music also saved this review from sinking.
