If you have time to kill and love wine, stop in here and try one of their wine flights. Guaranteed to be delicioso and the selection is hand picked to be the best. This time around, I tried their current selection for the Shades of White flight. Very nice and delicate with light fruity flavors and not too buttery. Loved it. 5⁄5 I also had their smoked salmon roll appetizer. It was okay but I wouldn’t rave about it. You’re probably better off ordering one of their sandwiches. 3.5÷5

I am not an airport fan. Flying for 12 hours, 3 different planes, stressed and exhausted, I needed a lunch getaway, and found the perfect place to spend my 3-hour stay at the airport. All staff were incredibly attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about food and wine. The wine selection was very good, and prices very reasonable, especially for an airport. The food was good, portions a little small for the prices, but that was to be expected for the quality. Most importantly, I loved the atmosphere. At no point during my experience did I feel like I’m at an airport, nobody rushed me out of my seat, and it felt like a classy restaurant more than an airport stop. Download the restaurant app on your phone to receive the tasting of the month for just $ 2!!!

Have a flight before your flight. I did. I got the«Temper Tempranillo» flight of Spanish reds. They serve you two-ounce glasses of three different wines. The prices are reasonable for it being the airport. They have a nice middle seating area that is nice for people watching. The service is quick and friendly.

Well played Vino Volo, well played. What started off as a miserable 5 hour delay turned into 4 and a half hours of pure bliss(Washington Airport is fairly large, so it took me a short while to find this place, but when I did, I checked into Wine heaven). It’s wine heaven, not because it has a crazy elaborate selection(it’s still pretty good) but because of how well they combine everything; décor, attitude of the staff and more importantly, wine pairing options. Fruity reds are really what do it for me, so I went with the«Running With The Bulls» flight, and it was sublime. A choice of 3 Spanish reds that were expertly ordered on my flight. I insist there is no pun intended by me repeating the word flight whilst reviewing my experience at an airport. None whatsoever. The wine flight comes out accompanied with some tasty mixed nuts, a perfect salty addition without altering the taste of your vino. I was there for a few hours so I may have indulged in more than 1 encounter with my horned friends. All in all, I couldn’t think of a better spot to dive into my GQ mag(I know I’m a poser) and kick back.

This place would have definitely gotten a higher review except for the service. The atmosphere is wonderful and the wines great. .however, the service was lackluster at best. I arrived at the this airport early so I decided to stop in and get a glass of wine. The menu enticed me to get a flight of wines and join the loyalty club. However, I left early due to the fact the waiters did not even try to engage in conversation, poured way less then the normal flight pour and I had to find them to ask for another glass of wine and the check. Did I mention I was the only one in the bar? Yea… I hope my next experience is better.

There are two Vino Volo locations at Dulles Airport. Sometime ago, they apparently got rolled into one on Unilocal. This review is for the Terminal B location. My experience has been that the service here is mediocre, especially compared to the location in the B Terminal location. The servers are often distracted and inattentive. They frequently have evidenced little knowledge about the wines that are available beyond the pre-printed tasting notes. However, a good selections of wines, available by the glass or in tasting flights. Usually two premium wines and the rest middle of the road. Small plates available if you are hungry, but the only one I recommend is the olives, the cheese plate or the charcuterie board. The VIP Club is a good deal. You get a loyalty taste of a specially selected wine for $ 1. At the next level, a free amuse bouche is included. Not a bad place to have a glass of wine while waiting for a flight if your gate is nearby. However, if you have time I recommend going to the location in the C Terminal instead.

Best Place Ever when you have a layover! Wine Heaven! And Wine Haven! Sit at the bar, Arlee & Caryann are amazing. Greet everyone as they come and go, wine knowledge is stellar, personalities are light-hearted yet spunky. Knowledge of the airport terminals. And Thanks to Frank for you airport directions as well!

Shut up and take my money! I always stop at Vino Volo any time I have a layover. The snacks and the wine are top notch, for the price, and the servers are extremely friendly and knowledgeable — ask them about wine! I also enjoy the fact that they have a free smartphone app that will allow you to track your«points» and upgrade in membership status if you visit frequently.(The more points you get, the more free food and wine you get… and that’s never a bad deal!) Wine flights are a blast — very fun to compare wines!

I’ve never seen an airport restaurant get such high ratings. My fiancé and I were waiting for our flight and were hungry so we decided to stop by Vino Volo for a flight(of wine) before our flight. Har har har. We were seated almost immediately, despite how busy the place was. I ordered a flight of rose wine and my fiancé ordered a flight of red wine. We also ordered some food — I got a tomato soup while my fiancé got the BBQ pulled pork sandwich(which was a special that day). The food was decent, albeit a little overpriced for the portion sizes we received. My soup was 7 ounces and cost $ 8. And my fiancé’s sandwich was on the tinier end. The wine was decent, though not a generous portion either. My fiancé ended up ordering a glass of another wine in addition. My main qualm was with the dirtiness of the silverware. I normally don’t notice that sort of thing, but I requested a spoon(they didn’t bring one out for me with my soup…) and it was all smudged and dirty. My fiancé went up to the bar to get me another and it was still smudged and dirty, so I ended up just using my fork to eat my soup… Service wasn’t amazing overall, either. It was a bit slow, which sort of sucks when you’re at the airport and trying to get a quick bite to eat before your flight. My fiancé had to walk up to the bar again to place his second order and also to get the check for us. Overall, decent food but a bit overpriced for tiny portions, and service and cleanliness could be improved. Still not a bad place to eat /drink during a layover.

Very good for an airport. They have a very good prosciutto sandwich, and a good chilli as well. You should try the flights. Around U$ 12 for three glasses of wine.

Vino Volo is seriously an awesome place to stop by if you’re flight is casually delayed 8 hours like mine was. In the terrible world of the Dulles airport, Vino Volo is the only I would ever return to. It’s like the rest of the airport was destroyed in an apocalypse(per Preston C.‘s review) and there was an invisible bubble around Vino Volo which caused it to remain untouched. To start, this place is pretty darn cute. They have a little terrace in the middle of the airport(across from their main restaurant area) where you can sit in comfortable wicker chairs and people watch for hours. The staff is attentive and checking in with you frequently in case you need to make a mad dash to your gate. The wine list is honestly extensive considering you’re in an airport. I had a few glasses of pinot noir and it was the perfect remedy to my delayed flight frustration. I also ordered the cheese plate($ 10) and was pleasantly surprised that there were 3 different types of cheeses and the portions were generous. The wine prices were a little steep at $ 15 for a glass of pinot noir, but I really can’t complain when I remember I’m in an airport. I would highly recommend the hike to the International concourse when you have some extra time to kill at the Dulles.

For a winebar in an airport this place was great. We ordered the smoked salmon rolls, braised pork taco, and the brie and prosciutto sandwich. I’m in love with the salmon rolls. My bf liked the taco and the sandwich. Also the service was great — attentive and professional. I’ll definitely stop here the next time I’m in the airport!

UPDATE: The Dulles Vino Volo was just upgraded in my esteem from 4 to 5 stars! Not only did they make me a lovely little complimentary vegan dish on account of my Reserve status, but they refunded me for a bottle that somehow broke in my carry on before I even got on the plane. The nice guy who wrapped my wine did such a great job that, although the bottle was broken into what felt like 3 pieces, wine stayed in the paper and bag and off my belongings for the most part. I need to review the Detroit Vino Volo, which was equally as impressive. Original Post: My first time at this establishment, and certainly not my last. Vino Volo offers some very interesting wine flights. Although I was tempted by their Christmas trio, I went with the Spanish Armada. This flight included The Saint Rioja, a juicy, smoky, spicy Reserva(which I ultimately ordered to enjoy on its own); Maurodos Bodegas y Viñedos Prima; and Torre Castillo Alegre. I was pleased with all the offerings. I ordered the only vegan option on the menu, an olive bowl. I was surprised the olives were warmed, and it took me a second to get over how weird that was to me. I decided it was better than them being icebox cold. I enjoyed the service I received here, though it seemed to take the staff a little while to warm up to me. When I travel, I always look for wines specific to the region. People usually have absolutely no clue. I noticed a couple shelves of Virginia wine, and a couple bottles with 3 birdies on the labels caught my eye. I asked which wine I should take home, and was presented with the bird-label wines! The wines were from RdV, 2010 Lost Mountain and 2010 Rendezvous. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the winery itself, and suggested I go with the Rendezvous if I wanted to drink it sooner than later. At $ 87, I’m saving it for a special occasion. I signed up for Vino Volo rewards and look forward to my next opportunity to visit one of their locations.

Was one of only 3 tables after 9:00PM on a Saturday. It took the waitress 10 mins to just acknowledge me even though she went to the table next to me 3 times before. My flight of wine was taken to the wrong table. 5 minutes later, the waitress retrieved the flight, took it back to the bar, and then proceeded to walk back to me with the same exact flight as if nothing. I had to ask for a fresh order. Then it took the staff longer to refill my wine vs. bringing the wine order to a new table that ordered their wine after I asked for my «fresh» wine. Food and wine were good. Staff just needs to be refreshed on company’s customer service(and public health) standards.

Funny how concourse B and C have different ratings. I haven’t been to the other, but if you are looking for higher end dining in concourse B, this is your place. At first glance, it seems affordable, but it’s actually because all of the dishes are small plates. I like the option to do flights of tastes or glasses. I did the World Value Reds for $ 9. Not a deal, but a fair price. I wasn’t too psyched about the meatball plate I ordered… I was thinking more Italian style to go with my wine, but the lamb meatballs were more Greek and a little spicy. The mint parsley pesto cut it nicely though. I might just save money next time and go to chipotle. I’d consider coming back but I wouldn’t order the same dishes. All In all, it’s better than some other offerings in seen in Southwest terminals.

When stranded at the airport and have already traveled for uncountable hours, I went into the Vino Volo. I am not this kind of wine guy, but it would just have to do. I had wine, I had some cheese platter. The cheese platter was sad. They might have had some quality stuff on there but oh-so-itty-bitty. This did not please my travel mode. The wines I tried, and I tried a few — none came to my direct liking, but it was wine and it did kill time. I believe that is what most people do here and for killing time it is not a bad idea. So, the trick is when you flight is delayed, go in here with a friend and both get a sample flight each. Then you can drink and comment on each wine and that might lighten the murderous mode that you are in when waiting at a airport. For killing time, this place is alright. For being a wine bar, this place does not deliver.

Good place to waste some time in between flights. They have wine flights starting at $ 10. And if you download the app you can get a «top shelf» tasting for $ 2. Servers know about the wines in the store but not much about certain varietals. They did have a Gewurtztraminer with some residual sugar which I definitely enjoy, and the Sauvignon Blanc was well aged and refreshing.
