Waiter was excellent, and mac and cheese(one of only vegetarian options) was a step up from the old one, which didn’t have a lot of cheese. This is as cheesy as it gets! I ordered lemonade with sugar on the rim, our waiter failed to do it properly. Meh, this is coming from a guy who has failed a lot in his life. So I didn’t care. Definitely coming back!!!

I haven’t been to outback in awhile. The waiter was nice but he messed up two of our drinks. It took awhile for our food to arrive too. Overall the food was okay.

If you order to go, come way later than the time they tell you your food will be ready. They told me 25 minutes and it took 1 hour and 15 minutes for 2 burgers.

tricky tricky outback Monday noon I was about to get a regular lunch, noting fancy so I was about to go to next door Penera which I passed by this location and saw there big banner saying«Lunch special $ 6.99». So I thought to my self, that sounds like a deal. it’s a steakhouse so how bad can they trick me. even if that’s what the charge was for 2oz steak or maybe chicken I rather go here. Parked the car and asked the front lady about the $ 6.99 lunch deal. First she made me feel really bad by telling me «oh im not sure, let me get the manager!» I felt like the cheapest guy standing there holding the line so the manager comes and tells me «that’s only soup and salad!». basically they put two regular sides next to each other and called it a lunch special!!! They might as well said«lunch special $ 2.50» and when they get you inside tell you«oh that’s if you want to only have soda for your lunch»!! Who goes to steakhouse to get a soup? with 20 min left from my break thanks to the group of specialist and research team looking to find out what their 10 feet banner advertising is about, I had to stay and order something 3 times what I expected for a regular Monday lunch break. A cheap bait and switch technique which might have made them some money at the moment but cost them a life time customer. I will never step to another outback thanks to my experience at this location.

This Outback is okay and just that. Service is was a bit slow and you would think it would be a little more attentive for a Tuesday night. I ordered the 12oz prime which was bleh. 3oz of the prime was fat and inedible. Started off with the layered cheese fries and those never disappoint! Also got the volcano shrimp wanted to try something new but it didn’t meet expectations. Shrimp was bland and not flavorful at all. Overall my experience here was just ok not necessarily a bad one.

I am tired of giving Outback chances with their takeaway service. This is the second time I’ve ordered a salad and when I get home find disgusting brown lettuce. Never again! I seriously think they save the old stuff for takeaway because people won’t notice until they’re home. Insult to injury, the broccoli looked equally disgusting this time. Every time I’ve had in house service — food has never looked this disgusting. Their food costs too much to get this kind of low quality at takeaway.

Went there tonight for dinner. Big mistake. Got a free Bloomin Onion from mentioning some keywords on website. It was good. Well good and greasy. Got the filet and endless shrimp. Started with the caesar salad. It was bland. They’ve changed it from a creamy garlic dressing to some oily concoction. Not good. The filet was under seasoned and generally not a good steak. The crispy shrimp were just frozen shrimp deep fried with a stale taste from the batter. Then got garlic shrimp. These had some blackening seasoning on them. They weren’t bad but not great. Since my dinner party is over 55 we get a 15% discount from Monday through Thursday. Good deal but should have gone to Sweetwater.

It all depends on the server! Last time we had an absolutely horrible server. She literally told me to take the peppers off myself(I’m highly allergic to peppers) but this time our server was outstanding!!! Explained everything on the menu, it was impressive how he knew absolutely everything about the food! Loved him! He also checked on my allergy numerous times to make sure no peppers(my allergy) got in my food at all! He was just awesome. The food is usually good too! Especially the salads!

I haven’t been to an Outback Steakhouse in a long time. In the past, the food was good, but not good enough to justify the long lines. That being said, I was very pleasantly surprised with this visit to Outback Steakhouse in Sterling. The service was top-notch, significantly better than the local average for restaurant service. The food tasted good and was reasonably priced, and there was no wait for a table. Outback Steakhouse was A-OK and I would go back there again.

I don’t go out for steak much. Outback used to have a «Special Sirloin,» that was very good. It was a Ball Tip cut and very tasty and tender. They no longer call it a special, it is just a sirloin. and it is no longer a Ball Tip. It’s just a common sirloin. I got the steak, loaded baked potato and chop salad. The chop salad used to be one of the choices of salads that came with meals. Now they charge a dollar extra for it. I sat at the bar. The place was crowded with families waiting to get a seat. The bartender offered great service. The chop salad lettuce looked like it was two days past freshness. It was limp and browning. The steak was not tender, it was tough. I know that sirloin is tougher than, say a rib eye or filet. The ball tip was considerably more tender than the sirloin I had today. I suspect that they have possibly lowered the grade of steak they serve. This one looked and ate like a select grade. It had the good sirloin flavor but there was also a liverey taste to it. Potato was fine. They have cut back on the cheese, bacon, etc. on the potato too. I see no reason to return to this restaurant when there are so many choices in this area.

Hands down the best server experience that I have had in a very long time. This lovely lady has done everything right. She greeted us immediately, suggested an appetizer, was knowledgeable about the preparation of specific menu items, monitored that our special requests were done while being served, refilled beverages, etc., etc. I am writing this while dining and will be sure to find out her name once again when the check comes. A few words about the food preparation… my Ribeye was perfectly cooked, our cheese fries were nicely done with melted cheese and not dry crusty cheese. This was the best Outback experience that I have ever experienced. We often go to the Herndon Outback but may drive a few minutes further if this is what I will receive in service and food quality. BTW — our servers name is Anita C. Outback management, be smart enough to make Anita a trainer or at least give her the employee of the month award and a cash bonus. Bravo Anita!!!

This outback needs a lot of work! Customer service is absolutely horrible. I think management needs to work with staff on serving the customer, and getting what the customer requests the first time around. My family and I ate here recently. My waiter was very inattentive. We had to ask waiters walking by for silverware, water, etc. it took almost 40 minutes to get our meals, while tables that sat before us had theirs. We didn’t order anything extravagant, so I’m not sure if our waiter didn’t put the order in in a timely manner. I had to wait 10 minutes for my child to get his silverware to eat as well. The manager came by and also did nothing to explain what may have caused such poor service. Not to mention, nothing was done for the inconvenience of our dinner out by this manager. This outback is horrible. We will not return. Definitely sticking to sweet water moving forward! Not worth the money at all!!!

Drove out to Sterling to celebrate a family event. Outback was my go-to steak house before I was introduced to Flemings, Del Frisco, and Capital Grill. I’m not even going to compare Outback to the ‘real steakhouses’, but I can still give it a thumbs up for value, service and variety. This particular location has outstanding service. Despite horrible visits from the Springfield and Burke locations, this Sterling location deserves a double thumbs up. From the hosts to the server to the food runners, the service was top notch. Our family can be quite the high maintenance crowd and if our server can continue to deliver with a big smile, then I’ve got his back. The blooming onion and new fried shrimp and lobster apps were fresh not greasy. Our food was piping hot when delivered. I ordered the 12 oz sirloin because that’s my go-to steak(no fat whatsoever). I think it lacked in seasoning but then I could have added some toppings, etc. but I didn’t. The salads and fries were good, standard fare. It’s nice to come back to the Outback and have a pleasant dining experience.

Prefacing this by saying that I have tried a lot of good steakhouses around the DC/NYC and considering that Outback is way cheaper than the high-end places + has great portions + has decent food, I don’t really see how you can complain about this place. This Outback is usually really crowded on Fridays and Saturdays for dinner, so I suggest you make a reservation or come prepared to wait 30+ minutes for a table. Let’s start with the good: Fun, casual atmosphere, Bloomin’ Onion, Black Bread, Victoria’s Filet… writing this just makes me salivate. Everything is usually cooked perfectly when I come here — of course the steaks sometimes have a little too much fat on them or fall short of medium rare, but this is a chain restaurant and i’m paying a little over $ 20 bucks for a filet mignon so I am not complaining. Things that need more work: Service is a bit slow sometimes, questionable bathrooms(but I don’t come here to go to the bathroom so I’m leaving that out of my review rating) In summary, this is a great place for a family dinner or if you are looking for something delicious and comforting that won’t break your bank.

Look at pic. This is a pricey poerterhouse gotten to go. I ordered medium. Does this look medium???(Note, the pic makes it look pinker than it even is). That was the filet. When I got to strip it was even more cooked. Tasted ok but was def medium well to well done and NOT medium. The potato soup was delicious. I would have been better off with a bowl of soup and saved 25 bucks.

I ordered take out from here one night for my boyfriend and I and let’s put it this way, we haven’t done that since. It was getting late, about 30 minutes before they closed, so we decided to just grab a appetizer, salad and a steak to go. We ordered in plenty of time, I hate being the person to come after something has closed. We go and pick our order up, outback is less than a mile from us. We had asked for another side of ranch, because we don’t like to share with each other, and when the girl came out with our food she instantly goes, «oh! Your extra side of ranch, I’ll be right back!!». I was still signing the receipt so I decided to give her a little extra tip because she fixed her mistake before we even noticed. We get home and start unpacking our order, and this is where the problems begin. Our extra ranch was there, but no cheese fries. You can’t have outback without cheese fries. We had been charged for it and my boyfriend was so bummed he didn’t get his favorite part. I decided to call, at this point it was about 10 minutes before they closed. The girl on the phone asked if we could come back to pick up our missing item, of course we said yes. We go and pick our missing item up, and when we got back home and opened it, both of us were very disappointed. With chain restaurants like outback you have a picture in your mind of how their food should look, you know the proportion and expect pretty much the same thing every time. The best way to describe our order is like the took the 12 fries that were left for the day threw some cheese on it, no bacon the best part, and put it in a bag. I realized it was late and I’m sure the staff wanted to go home, but this was pitiful. We didn’t order late, it was t our fault someone forgot this item, yet we felt like they just wanted to get out of there and not fix the problem. At this point I was furious, not only did we take an unnecessary trip back, but the item was sub-sub par. I ended up calling the manager because I felt the situation could have been handled better if a manager was involved. The manager was very nice and apologetic and actually ended up sending me a personal apology letter and a gift card to try and make up for this situation. We still haven’t used it, I don’t think we’ll be going back to outback anytime soon.

At one point, this Outback did booming business and it seemed they could do no wrong. The«To Go» parking spots were always filled with cars and the restaurant itself was always packed. But in the past couple years, the quality of the food and its preparation has gone down hill. We realize that we don’t eat here as often anymore. What was probably once or twice a month has become one every 4 – 5 months. Recently we dined in and«to go» over the past month and came away disappointed. At our last dine-in experience, they forgot to put cheese on an Outback Burger that I ordered cooked medium. I sent it back and they put a slice of cheese on it and threw it in the microwave. Now it was overcooked. I sent it back yet again after talking to the manager and it came out perfect. Our waiter became very scarce afterwards as if it was his fault and not the kitchens. The manager took the burger off my tab and apologized, but we shouldn’t have to work that hard to get it right the first time. The last several«to go» orders have been dismal. I will attach some photos from our last visit to this review. An order of Alice Springs chicken which used to be covered in cheese and a couple slices of crispy bacon had some cheese and a single slice of bacon. An order of chicken and ribs came with dry ribs. There was no sauce on them at all. It was a good thing we asked for extra sauce on the side. It is unlikely we will be coming back to this location any time soon.

I am an outback steakhouse fan. I have been to many of their chains throughout the country over the years. I always order the same thing. It’s so good that I could never stray away from it. My order is Filet Mignon with a Lobster tail, side salad and baked sweet potato with butter and brown sugar. And if I’m not super stuffed I will add a chocolate thunder from down under(heated brownie with ice cream). One VERY important thing to note about Outback is the way that they cook their steaks. Their cooking chart is skewed a bit but I always take that into account when ordering. For example, if I normally order my steaks medium-rare at other restaurants but at outback I always order medium and it comes out a true medium-rare cook. If you ask for medium-well it will come out medium. So I came to this particular location for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. We both ordered filet mignons. I ordered mine medium as I always do because I know it will come out medium rare which is what I like. And my boyfriend did not listen and ordered medium rare for his cut. When the steaks came out… mine was really bloody, almost too bloody(especially for ordering medium) but it was still enjoyable. However, his was completely raw… purple, gelatinous meat. We sent his back because it was inedible and then it came back well done, completely brown, no color in the middle at all. Obviously we had a chat with the manager after that. His name was Aaron(sp?) and he was very nice. We ended up just taking off his entrée and we just shared my course. This was by far the worst experience I have had at any outback. I don’t know what is going on with their cooks… but the wait staff and management was kind. So thanks for an OK birthday dinner overall.
