I love this Golfsmith! The employees are very informed and friendly. I recently went in to purchase new golf shoes as a gift for my husband, and David was so helpful!!! He really knew his stuff and helped me choose the right pair.
I am closer to one of the surrounding Golfsmith’s and choose to drive a little bit further to this one, because their customer service is that much better.

I had a terrific experience at the Sterling Golfsmith, courtesy of Lou, who is Dustin Hoffman’s doppelgänger. I hit drivers for approximately 2 hours before finally settling.
Lou’s competence regarding club testing/​fitting is not surprising, given his profession; what is not a given, however, was his attitude while I was deciding between a Taylor Made SLDR ($ 399) versus a more affordable club (a $ 200 Ping G20). Having achieved slightly superior results with the SLDR, I was ready to make the decision in that direction, until Lou gently reminded me that I hit the SLDR while fresh (swings 5 – 15), and that I had hit the Ping while fatigued (swings 50 – 60). With this factor in hand, I opted for the Ping.
I appreciate a golf equipment salesperson who is more committed to helping me improve my game than selling me the highest priced product.
Unfortunately, though, Lou did not agree to act out any scenes from Kramer vs. Kramer.

Had one of the best experiences in terms of customer service here. I received a push cart from a friend which wasn’t working properly. So I went into the store without a receipt. The manager helped me out: he took his time and tried to fix the cart but couldn’t. They no longer had my model in stock either so they couldn’t do a direct exchange. But he did allow me to upgrade to the next model at a small cost (was definitely worth it). They really took care of me here, and I was impressed. The store itself is huge and has pretty much everything.
