GameStop

This is the worst gamestop location to go to by far! The service is garbage, all they want to do is take your money! 90 percent of the pre-​owned games are extremely scratched! It sucks that this is the closest location to my house I hate this gamestop so much I hope everybody who works there gets fired!!! Go to any other location but here! STAY FAR AWAY!!!

I pre-​ordered Star Wars Battlefront and kind of forgot the release date due to working nights. Well, I decided to stop by and behold they told me Gamestop is going for a personal experience and I should have been called. That’s what they told me when I said I haven’t received neither a text, or email. Yes my contact info is up to date. So I asked why didn’t they call me. and he told me «We didn’t want to because we didn’t want to make 200+ phone calls. What do mean you don’t…its your job… I pay for the Game informer to get these notifications and you «Didn’t feel like it??»
So for the first time I actually did the customer survey on the receipt. I applaud the manager who called me (not the store manager. like district or something). He wanted to make up for my bad experience (he saw from the stores just how much business I gave Gamestop) without giving away the store. I flat out refused and told him thankyou for contacting me and explained since I and everyone else who is paying for game informer are paying for customer service and your sorry employees are too lazy to do their job. I also told him I would not be renew my subscription and I will be making what purchases I can digital downloads for my PS4.
I have finally said good bye to Gamestop… thanks to this lousy one at Dulles Mall. I’ll just look for deals online for my older consoles.
I went back to the store to pull all my game deposits as well.

Tried to sell me a used game, when I wanted a new one. On top of that this new one was not sealed, the disk was kept uncovered, claimed to be new.
I get that they don’t keep dvd’s in the box on display, but hey you should keep sealed copies. How do I know you are not selling used ones for the price of new!
When I objected, the sales person again suggested I buy a used one for $ 2 less!!!
Kept repeating the same thing again about the security against theft…
Pretty clear to me, if you cannot store sealed dvd separately, just man up and sell open ones at used rate. Whether its because its the very last piece or for whatever reason…
Apart from the smart-​ass attitude, she had the gumption to say if you are nice to us, we will let you have a in store credit if this dvd doesn’t work out … Duh! Thats basic expectation of customer service I thought …
One star, because I can’t give zero, mainly for the smart-​ass attitude, being unreasonable, and thinking your customers are stupid with no place else to go!

This is the second GameStop I’ve been today. We moved recently, and somewhere along the lines I lost the power adapter for my Xbox 360 Slim. The first GameStop in Chantilly we went to had a bunch, but none compatible for the model I had. Living next to Dulles Town Center I decided to stop here on my way back.
We asked an employee if they sold Xbox power supplies and he has no idea what I’m asking for. We try to clarify, and he suddenly just goes «NO! We don’t sell those» and brushed me off, suggesting I go to Craig’s List. Uhm, what? AT LEAST suggest checking GameStop’s web site (where they DO sell them, though it’s not the version I need) before sending somebody off to Craig’s List. The guy was just completely unwilling to assist us.
It’s frustrating, especially after having just come from another GameStop where the employees were more than willing to help (even if they didn’t have the right version I needed).
