A decent no-frills gym that seems to be rarely crowded, and has a good range of equipment. A bank of treadmills lined up against the wall with four wall-mounted TVs above them sit in front of a bank of ellipticals. From there are the various resistance machines that cover just about every muscle group for a good range of isolation exercises. A cable-crossover machine accompanies them. In the back of the room is the free-weights section. Dumbbells range from 5 to 100 lbs., single pairs of each weight. Plenty of weight plates as well. However, because of the very small size of this particular Snap location, the weight section can get a bit crowded even with just 2 or 3 people there. The plus side, though, is that the members here aren’t «bros,» who spend the bulk of their time showing off in the mirrors. Even the younger guys take their workouts seriously, and are very courteous to each other, regardless of skill level. In the back corner is the Smith machine and that is the significant con of this location — it’s the only option for doing barbell squats, bench press, and the like. This location does not have a true squat rack or bench for bench press because of its limited square footage. There is also only one Olympic bar available. As such, the limited space and equipment are why I rate this location at 3 stars, as well as the treadmills that face a blank grey wall. If your resistance workouts require primarily weight machines or cardio machines, then this location will likely meet your needs fully. Free weight workouts are however only adequate because of the limited space and availability.
