Me Me’s Thai is the best I’ve had in the area, and I’d like to get the word out. :) My husband and I moved back to MI from southern California, where we indulged in great, inexpensive, authentic Asian food. We have had a very hard time finding the same quality here in this area, but this is one of the places we frequent. The curries have great flavor, and the noodle dishes(we especially like the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai, of course!) are well-prepared. Unlike other places, the noodles are not drowning in sauce, and have great balance in flavor… pretty authentic. Be careful, though… this is a place where«medium spice» can really burn!(Which is a good sign for a Thai place.) They use fresh Thai chilies that they grind up themselves. They also use only a little MSG(I asked). I am very sensitive to MSG, and I can attest that the food from Me Me’s did not affect me like other places. Me Me’s is located in a very unassuming strip mall, on the north-east corner of Dequindre and 16 Mile(entrance is off of Dequindre, north of the gas station). The restaurant itself is somewhere between a «hole in the wall» and«casual»… we haven’t eaten as sit-down customers, but only because we live less than 2 minutes away and get carryout. Carryout portions are HUGE, so for the price it is a great deal. For example, my husband and I can eat dinner AND lunch off of 2 orders(and we are big eaters). Hope this information is useful, and that others give this place a try!
