Zaxby’s

I increased my rating by one star since my last review because the drive through experience was much more pleasant!
I went on a quiet Sunday afternoon. There were no cars in front of me at the drive thru, so I was able to place my order, pay, and receive my order in a decent amount of time!

The other reviewers are far off base, and don’t echo the sentiments of the people in this area.
Let’s set the record straight — Statesboro is the home of Zaxby’s. That’s right, it was founded right here. This Zaxby’s is the busiest in the entire country. Now THAT’S saying something since its grown into a national franchise!
The chicken here is the bomb. Literally, the flavor explodes in your mouth. It’s really friggin’ good. There’s just no other way to put it. The salads are great, the sandwiches are great, all the sides are — you guessed it — great. PRO TIP: ask to substitute your slaw for extra toast or fries.
Sure, this place gets busy. The drive through does get packed. The owners (and the entire town) would greatly benefit if they closed the front parking lot entrance entirely and created a wrap-​around drive through like you might find at Chick-​fil-​a. But hey, the line is equally long inside (although the seating is abundant) because the food really is THAT good. It’s worth the trouble!

Chicken seems to be overcooked and or being held under the warmer too long more often than not.
