Really amazing. Been here forever and nothing really has changed. I eat here when I don’t want a whole pie or just a quick bite

This place has slowly declined over the years. from so so food, to smaller portions, to terrible service. If your desperate for pizza and everywhere else is closed .call them up. other then that so many better spots on the island. Villa Monte Is simply overrated .the owners and guys behind the counter are rude and times just ignore you… I can go on and on …

Let me start by saying I LOVETHISPIZZERIA!!! Great food, great service and decent prices. The last pizzeria to not have a narrow ten block delivery zone. There sometimes is a little wait if you are some distance but it is worth the wait cause your food gets there piping hot and oozing with deliciousness. The pizza is phenomenal with generous toppings and gooey cheese to make your mouth water with anticipation. But a pizzeria is expected to make at least decent pizza right? The greatness that is villa monte doesn’t stop there, the Heros and pasta dishes only add to the spectacular repertoire of this establishment. Generous portions and flavor that will make the simplest pallet dance for joy and did I mention that the prices were affordable? A central location by the Staten Island mall proves to be a perfect location to spotlight their talent in the culinary arts. If you live in the area and are open to trying new places this is a definite recommendation. If you are in the area then stop in and try anything I promise you will leave with a doggy bag, a menu and a full happy stomach.

I love this place and it’s my go-to place whenever I’m craving pizza on the island. I’ve been coming here since I moved to Staten Island in 2006. I’ve never had a bad experience here or have ordered anything that wasn’t superb. If you like pizza, I recommend ordering their Hawaiian pie, which is basically a regular pie topped with pineapple and ham. This place uses great quality ham on their pie, which has my mouth watering right now as I’m writing this post. Their chicken pan pie is also a unique pie with breaded chicken, thick cheese, basil and chunks of tomatoes. Both pies are the best, and I usually alternate between the two. I’m sure they have other great pies, as well. On days when I’m eating for one, and cannot order a whole pie, I’ll usually order their sausage or chicken parm hero, both are equally great. When I’m looking for something light, I order their Julia Salad, which is a great salad that comes with grilled chicken, a garden variety of fresh greens, roasted bell peppers, glazed walnuts and is topped with a large mushroom — I think portabella, but don’t quote me on that. It comes with this sweet, but not overly sweet raspberry vinaigrette dressing, which complements the entire dish wonderfully. The staff here are always nice and welcoming. Come here often enough and they will remember you and greet you by your first name. I’m in total awe that most reviewers have given this place anything less than 5 stars. This place is one of SI’s rare gems in my opinion, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great pizza. On a side and final note: they also have a great selection of beers for beer lovers out there.

Pan villa is by far one of the best slices I’ve ever had. I can’t get any other pizzeria to get a slice that even comes close. They also have decent mini conoli. I remember growing up my parents always got their sicilian pie.

Good food in a casual atmosphere. Can’t call this a neighborhood place as it is in a shopping center /large strip mall without a surrounding neighborhood.

The food here is really great! Unfortunately they have an incompetent delivery staff because they seem to forget to deliver drinks. This happened on three different occasions and it’s really frustrating. Manager doesn’t seem to care when I called to let them know. He had the«what do you want me to do» kind of attitude. I’ll no longer order from them.

The gluten free pizza is delicious! Best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had! The only reason i give it 4 stars is because of the size of the pizza. Its $ 16 for a personal pizza. I will continue to order from here. Always a good experience and the delivery is always fast.

Delicious! We were starving and weren’t sure where to eat. I had to stop in for a phone case at best buy when we stumbled on this place. We weren’t expecting much, but boy were we pleasantly surprised. This place puts deninos to shame! We ordered a pizza to start. Cooked well and very tasty. Then we decided to order the chicken franchaise and eggplant parm. Best I’ve had coming out of Staten Island. The only other place which could comets would be mama Rosario’s, but their terrible now. Anywho! It’ was good we would come back and we would recommend.

Whenever I’m in Staten Island and I’m craving pasta and don’t feel like dressing to impress Gino’s is usually the place of choice. In many occasion I always get the Pasta Portofino it’s pasta with ham mushrooms and sherry wine cream sauce. A very good portion of al dente pasta! My last visit I decided to try something new lemon filet de sole which I got with a side of salad for $ 20. I figured why not their pasta dishes are always on point but I was very disappointed, the filet was bland and was lacking seasoning and the sauce was very watery that had no flavor it was basically a pan seared fish in lemon water for lack of a better word. I should of ordered the New York Strip for the same price or my pasta Portofino. They ran out of cups??? so it took a while to get our water. Take my advise don’t get the fish, stick with their pasta dishes get an extra side of bread maybe the zucchini sticks as an app! :)

Wow, I really enjoyed the food here. I am not a big with Italian food, but I can honestly say that the food here is amazing! The bread came warm and fresh and the portion of the food is humongous. I got the chicken rillatoni which was succulent and tasty, there was also ample amount of mushrooms which I happily ate. I went on a Sunday night and it was still very much crowded. We had to wait atleast 30 minutes for a table, but it was definitely worth it. Don’t even get me started with the desserts, the tiramisu was perfection. My friends got the chocolate mouse and the chocolate cake with ice cream which was also big portion and oh so good! One thing is for sure, if you come to Villa Monte you are not leaving hungry. It was packed, but the servers were very nice and tried their best to accommodate everyone. I don’t frequent Staten Island much, but if I go to Staten Island Mall I will definitely be coming here to eat especially since it is close to the Mall.

I can’t recommend this place, or any of it’s other locations. The quality has been deteriorating slowly for a very long time. When I was in High School – reliable service and quality, with quirky old owner on site to make sure everyone was working. It seemed like he considered them part of his family. The food was never the best you’d ever have, but its location was convenient, and it was better than your options inside the mall. The place was always packed. Now – I walk in, order a slice and grab a Manhattan Special(for you non-Brooklyn oriented folk, that’s espresso coffee soda. soooooo in other words, awesome). By the time I walk to the fridge and walk back(a process that could not possibly have taken longer than 10 seconds) the guy is impatiently waiting for me to get back so he can charge me the 3 dollars for the slice(way too much money) and the extra for whatever I was getting in the fridge. Like. did you even put it in the oven, bro? The slice was cold. Not«warm». legitimately cold. I mean, maybe by Eskimo or hypothermia standards it’s warm. But by any pizza standard, it was cold. I kindly informed the muscular and gruff gentleman that if I am going to pay top dollar, I at least expect a hot slice. He put it back in the oven, turned around with the same gruff face(I’m guessing that’s just his unfortunate natural expression. A dude version of resting bitch face, perhaps?) and charged me for the slice and the soda. I paid, happy to be getting a hot slice. It was hot. But it still sucked. The sauce was way too sweet, the cheese was not elastic at all, and no amount of toppings would make it any more edible. That was the last time I will ever frequent this establishment. Shame, really. But in the pizza capital known as SI, this just will not do. This passes for good anywhere else, but if you are going to be within the four bridges of this place we call Staten Island, then you’re gonna have to step it up.

When I go to Staten Island to visit my kids’ grandparents, what do I look forward to the most? Villamonte’s shrimp pizza. If you aren’t allergic to and also happen to like seafood, you need to try it. The pizza itself would get a 4.5 star rating, but overall I don’t want to mislead anyone about the rest of the menu. It is decent, but not mind-blowing. For example, one time we had them cater for a family dinner. Got different pastas, apps, etc., and also a large shrimp pizza. The pizza was gone in minutes(I think we made a few converts that day), but I honestly can’t remember what the other food we ordered was. So the moral of this story is: If you are anywhere near the Staten Island Mall, pick up a shrimp pizza pie. The drop it off at my apartment and I’ll reimburse you.
