This is a wonderful diner to go for any meal. The food is good, the staff are friendly, and the owners care about the patrons.

This place is disgusting from the owners who stand on top of you while you eat to the employees who seem to be strung out and half asleep. The food is horrible and bland. Very uncomfortable feeling there, would never go again even if food was free and I was paid. Defiantly not a place I would recommend unless you enjoy to be hounded while you eat their disgusting food and have your order taken by another zombie of this island. Wish I could put zero stars.

Absolutely terrible service. Let me tell you if I could rate this place a zero I would. I came there last Saturday with my husband and kids and the waitress was beyond rude. I’m pretty sure she was stoned too because she kept nodding off at the table and repeating herself. She had long dark hair and was young too, honestly I come to this place often and I’m not coming anymore if they are going to hire irresponsible, young waitresses who can’t handle themselves

Best service best meals best location it’s the perfect little place to eat. I love everything about the Richmond diner. I don’t have to dress fancy like the Annadale terrace I can be cozy and eat a fantastic meal. I have nothing but great things to say about this place

Went here last week with my husband for a quick bite of dinner after swimming at the ymca across the street. I can never find parking in their very small lot, so just walked across. Food was good, we both ordered the french onion soup, very good. I ordered the gyro wrap, really delicious, my husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak. It did not have enough cheese on it, very little, and on the menu said it had french fried onions on it. They came out barely sautéed .told the manager and he began to tell me that they know how to cook the food. Maybe he thought I did not know the difference of battered onions and sautéed, he was a little argumentative which I did not like but offered to make another sandwhich which the waitress stated would be onions made the same way. I would just say change the wording on the menu to sautéed and not french fried onions. You can’t pull the wool over a foodies palette. My daughters a sous chef at a manhatten steakhouse, I think I know my onions. Anyways, overall food was good, staff friendly, I will be back

Typical diner fare. I’ve been here several times, as its very conveniently located, and my experiences have ranged from excellent to mediocre. Best bet is for breakfast. The coffee is always good & fresh. As far as the food, you need to be very specific about how you want your food cooked(eggs not runny please). The service is adequate, but not friendly. Not bad in a pinch, but nothing to write home about.

Five stars for breakfast, hands down no matter what I order. But. Zero stars for dinner. Must be different cook at that hour. Both dishes were bland, very badly seasoned, no sense of plating, lukewarm and not worth the vet long wait time. But still our favorite place for breakfast.

Always wanted to try this place across from the Y, usually go to andrews but he was packed. We figured we give this place a try and had a coupon for free appitizer with any 2 entrees. We ordered a kids meal $ 8, a gyro$ 8 and an open face turkey $ 14 the waitress told us our food did not count as an entrée to get the free mozzerella sticks, No where on their menu did it mention entrée. I kind of figured any order in a diner is an entrée. The place was totally empty except for us at 7pm on a sunday night, not a good sign, the waitress blamed it on the heavy rain we had, but that dident stop Andrews from being packed. The gyro came in a small pita pocket with hardly any meat and all lettuce, about half the size of andrews and lower quality quite bland too. My wife liked the open face turkey but it only came with little gravy. The waitress was too busy watching a show about how tribes in africa slaughter their cows, which we asked them to change the channel while we ate our meal .So even though we were the only people in the diner, I had to get up and ask the owner at the register for xtra gravey and some hot sauce. My son only likes vanilla ice cream so when they said they were out of it. She offered a big chocolate chip cookie. It turned out to be as hard as a rock, the cookie is still sitting there. The waitress was kind of friendly but when I have to get up 3 times to get my own stuff when the diner is totally empty, I see no reason to compensate that person. On the way out I mentioned to the owner that he got us in with the coupon and refused to give us something that would have set him back .50 cents. He said you ordered 3 sandwiches, I look at it this way, I spent 40 bucks. The food was just edible, and very small portions, the turkey was a good decent size. Bottom line there always a reason why a diner in the a very populated area is dead, Even while we ate there was no other people coming in., Only a pickup from a drunk guy. And again to top it off wheres the staff when the place is dead. I will never go in that place again, But I dont think they will last either even though they have been there a few years.

Terrible service. Terrible management! I ordered a well done cheeseburger for delivery. It came raw. I called back n spoke to the owner who told me his delivery man was gone for the day and he couldn’t do anything. I paid with credit card and he told me he didnt know how to credit me back. He was not helpful and extremely condescending.

Decent food in a strip mall. Breakfast is good. I still don’t know why these diners insist on putting green peppers in the home fries. It is so unnecessary! The waitresses complain a lot that the majority of the customers are old. It may be time to hire girls who are over 21.

Will not give it a second chance. Wasn’t treated well at all and the food(and I use that term loosely!) was terrible. I would really like to give it no stars!

How on earth this place managed to offer a full dinner featuring soup, salad, thick T-bone porterhouse steak, potato, vegetable and dessert for $ 19.95 is beyond me(not to mention the most tender, perfectly medium rare and flavorful steak I’ve had in ages). Brought the dessert home as I couldn’t eat another bite after that steak!

Service was good. Food okay… I ordered pancakes and the syrup was bland and not sweet. That’s a deal breaker for me.

My usual breakfast haunt. Clean, friendly staff(well except for the crotchety cashier lady) and good diner fare. The home fires are so good, I often get an order to go so that I can reheat them for breakfast the next morning. I can’t speak for lunch and dinner options, but thus far breakfast hasn’t disappointed me one bit.
