Came for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Okay it was a holiday weekend so there was a wait but I also saw at least six open booths that sat for a good ten minutes before they were cleaned. Then trying to understand the breakfast menu was absurd and everywhere I go breakfast eggs come with potatoes but not here. The ham and cheese omelet I ordered should say minced fat and bland cheese omelet. My dining partners all had similar issues. One ordered the French toast and needed a knife to cut the rubbery bread. All in all it was more expensive then the nice quiet diners in the borough. I will not go back for breakfast. But dinner is good, portions are good and the lemon meringue pie is the best I ever had.

I am a fan of Perkins but this one misses the mark. Food was just ok and the place could use some serious cleaning. Our table was dirty, left with jelly and crap smeared all over, empty creamer containers and hash browns across the seat. Our silverware was also gross, as well as the plates, and my actual fruit cup had fuzzes and lint all over it(served with spoiled grapes). I left feeling like I needed another shower after a $ 30 breakfast.

We went here at Thursday 10:10pm. Sign clear says they close at 11pm. We saw one table of people eating. We were told«we are closed» by one lady. So we turned around and left.

This is the place to go for a quick meal yet pricier than a fast food but cheaper than a decked out restaurant. The portions are big and the staff is nice here. Not always too crowded or the wait time usually isnt too long. Breakfast food is the best here especially the fact you can order it for dinner. No complaints for this perkins in my area.

My Grandmother and I have been going here for years. Friendly, attentative staff, reasonable prices. Great dinner specials menu that includes soup/salad/and a beverage. Favorite go to for an everyday meal. Desserts are good as well, except a bit pricey like $ 3.99 for a slice of pie.

It’s like IHOP but WITHOUT the rush, long wait, noise, and cramped space. You can relax and actually enjoy a good conversation over breakfast in roomy booths and tables. We had the Brioche Platter, Lemon Meringue Pancake Platter, Hearty Man Combo Platter, Omelette and Fries which were all great. Our server was very attentive and quickly refilled our coffees. Everyone was friendly. Restrooms were clean. Parking was limited because they share it with other stores/shops.

It’s exactly what you expect from and need from Perkins. Family style better-than-diner food, friendly servers, neighborhood spot with a lot of kids(which, to me, is rather cheery). Chocolate silk pie… eat it all.

I love the food. I love the service. Loyal customer but just one down side. The build your own breakfast is a bit confusing. After you pick your items, you may add additional 2 items for $ 1.49 but was i was told that for that to be honored it has to be selected items. If not then the additonal side would be full price. I appreciate they told me before they charged me but no where in the menu does it say any disclaimer or fine print saying so. None the less, great place, awesome service, phenominal food just make sure you ask all the right questions.

Haven’t been to Perkins for awhile. We decided to go for breakfast. Relatively large selection of choices which included a Senior Citizens Menu. Had French Toast with Bacon, Eggs and Coffee. My wife had an Egg Omelet with Cheese, Mushrooms, Tomato and Bacon with Coffee. The food was freshly prepared and flavorful. Coffee was also very good. Service was efficient, and the setting was functional and comfortable. Prices were very reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. Will go back again

I love their variety of food, quality and service. kind of like a Denny’s. But their pancakes are the best under God’s green earth

The servers are great it the food is –4 How could such simple food be so bad. Pan cakes are decent but eggs and potatoes are really bad.

This Perkins has very good staff they take the time to get to know their regulars and have a very tentative staff. Their prices are moderate and they just recently changed up their menu. They now offer some new entrees as well as breakfasts. The wonderful pies and sweets are still on there. The place is clean and has a nice family atmosphere. Always a good experience.

Came here to have breakfast. I got waffles and my girlfriend got Banana French toast. The waffles were good. Her French toast was good but the bananas weren’t ripened enough. Literally couldn’t eat them. The coffee is ok and at least doesn’t taste like muddy water. It’s a good spot for a franchise breakfast. Still searching for a stellar waffle place on Staten Island though. I give Perkins 3 stars, for just«ok.»

This has to be my family and I’s «go-to-safe-spot» to eat on Staten Island. This location(Hylan) completely revamped the interior and it looks great. The waitstaff is always friendly and quick and does not ever mind my dad taking 20 mins to order the exact same thing everytime we come here. Great for Brunch and go for dinner. Plus for ladies who are calorie conscious, they have a «light menu» that won’t make you want to spend hours at the gym and doesn’t cut the flavor. The baked goods are ammazing and fresh. The banana cream pie is my favorite and their banana walnut muffins are awesome. I last came here about 2 Saturday’s ago on my way to get my pictures taken for my India/Nepal Visa.

Can’t beat breakfast all day, but I’m a fan of IHOP over Perkins. My fav dish here is the southern fried chicken biscuit platter. Place is so crowded on the weekends in the Morning, but what breakfast place isn’t.

My first review on Unilocal and I must say I have been wanting to leave one for this Perkins. I live about 5 blocks away. This is a warning . Ok we get in sit down no menu or anything over 10 minutes … My gf gets up goes to restroom to wash her hands comes back and is laughing about how some nasty girl was fighting with her bf on the phone while she blew out the stall. Low and behold she comes out after her and we notice … u ready for this … its our waitress ! Awesome this is gonna be a great experience. She comes over we order coffee and pie. We get crusty coffee cups that r dirty and they look like they were from world war 2. The Pie was a cold slop. And to top it off waitress comes and lays the check next to me as I take my FIRST bite of pie !!! Lucky I didn’t snap. This Place is groce and smells like cat pee. Stay away

Food was delicious and very fresh. The portions are very generous. The service was pretty good and everything was clean. The only thing was that they reuse the already written in childrens menus– 2 were written it that I know of. Other than that everything was great!

Good for breakfast, don’t care for their lunch. Staff is always friendly & even when it’s crowded, you get seated in a reasonable amount of time. My favorite is the Granny Country Omelette. It can be a lot on the stomach, but well worth it. All their meals come with several sides. After paying, no one rushes you to leave & the wait staff is always checking in. Good for anyone to try.
