This place is MONEY, so glad its here. I take stained glass classes down the street and I can’t come to class without having a few slices. I love pizza and have tried most of the greats in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Chicago, New Haven, you name it and Paulie’s holds its own. I should also mention the prices are very reasonable and the guys in there are very friendly. I’ve been hearing their burgers are also amazing, but haven’t tried them yet.

Excellent pizza comparable to any pizzaria in Manhattan. Thin crust, good crunch, great taste. Nice seating options available and really friendly staff. Highly recommend, best pizza I’ve had in Staten Island, no question.

We ordered the thin-crust margarita pizza. It was wonderfully crunchy. The basil was delicious and fresh. 5 stars. The food was great but the owner was the real treat. He’s building a restaurant next door and offered to let us sit in there even though it wasn’t finished. He’s a super nice guy. We were so glad to have come here and highly recommend it to anyone.

Finally, Stapleton has respectable pizza! Love the pizza, love the eggplant heroes and love the fried calamari. I think Paulie’s success is in their sauce. The pizza is thin crust and tasty, the eggplant is sturdy and delicious, the fired calamari is cooked and seasoned correctly. Is it the best fried calamari I’ve ever eaten? No. Is it better than most of the fried calamari served at Island pizzerias? Yes. So many pizzerias serve the same low quality crap, it’s refreshing to finally come across a new one that serves much better.

Paulie’s … Your food was so delicious I had the greatest food baby and food itis from it. First off, coming from Rosebank area, i usually order from Tony’s pizza. I love their margherita pie but everything else kinda just seems okay/meh. Tried Paulie’s for the first time. Someone from the reviews was raving about their calamari so i gave that a try. My bf and i also ordered margherita pizza, steak fries and sausage & peppers hero. Let me just say, their calamari was soooooo good. I wish i could just be the ultimate fatass and stuff it all in my mouth but I unfortunately had to share. For $ 10, the portion and the taste was definitely worth it. Sausage and peppers was delicious. Love the fact that they put a good amount of peppers. The sauce is light with a medley of onions and peppers. Even the steak fries were good. The only thing that I wasn’t a big fan of was their margherita pizza. I still prefer Tony’s BUT thats just me. My bf on the other hand loved their margherita pizza. Im so glad this place isn’t that far away from me. I will definitely be ordering from Paulie’s in the future. Their prices are very reasonable and fair yet they give such great quality food. Our total for margherita pie, steak fries, sausage and peppers and calamari came out to be $ 36, the same price we would pay if we ordered a garbage pie and calamari from Deninos. Pfft. If you are in the Bay st. area or if you’re coming from St. George, definitely check Paulie’s out! P. s. we almost ordered the nutella pizza but we flipped a coin and the odds weren’t in our favor. Next time for sure… ;)

Writing from Santa Cruz, CA. We visited my Uncle in Staten Island a few weeks ago, and he took us to Paulie’s for lunch. My husband and I had the potatoes and eggs sandwich. OMG it was delicious! I’ve never tasted one this incredible before. It was large enough for us to split, and still be full. If I lived there, I would try some of the other sandwiches on the menu, it’s not just a pizzeria. Well, on second thought, I probably wouldn’t be able to resist ordering the potatoes and eggs sandwich again!

As an amateur pizza critic and someone who grew up in Stapleton I knew i had to try Paulie’s. Let me begin with the positive. I ordered the special which is 2 slices and a(very) small soda for $ 3.50, reasonable. I did not for once have to ask for the slices to be heated longer, they were served just the right temperature. They were also on the large side, always a plus, and the crust was perfectly crispy and thin. I tend to prefer a cheesier slice, but the amount of cheese was acceptable. And now on to the not so positive. Both the crust and the sauce were virtually without flavor. Indeed the sauce was so bland even adding crushed red pepper and oregano failed to liven it up. I found this to be yet another example of what could have been the perfect slice impacted by a single issue. If they used the same sauce as Pier 76 or Joe & Pat’s(tangy and slightly acidic) I’d be a regular delivery customer. To me the Paulie’s slices tasted similar to Denino’s, which(I am in the minority here) is not my favorite Staten Island pizza.

I was at a house party & was invited to try a slice of Paulie’s Pizzeria breadcrumb & anchovy pie. Overcoming my initial reluctance as I was not familiar with this type of pizza I was pleasantly surprised by its scrumptiousness. It was simply delicious. A pastor in my Bay Ridge, B’klyn nabe whose quest is to taste the best pizza in NYC is being transferred to Staten Island & I’m directing him to Paulie’s Pizza!

This review is coming all the way from Chicago. On our last day in NYC, we decided to check out Staten Island. Well my wife her mother and myself wanted to try some local eateries. Paulies popped up and off we went. The staff was so polite and offered up there dinning area witch was not open yet. We ate like kings! The pizza was classic NYC thin crust. The calamari was also delicious. After chatting with the staff for a while the owner gave us a ride to the ferry as we were late for our flight. What a nice experience. We will defiantly be back next time were here. Thanks guys!

I ordered 2 pies. The white pizza pie and a regular cheese pie. The white pizza was excellent BUT my only complaint was that it came with a whole bunch of onions garnished on top. Something that is not standard for a white pizza pie, so that threw me off because I has to pick out all the onions. The white pizza itself was super tasty and def. the best white pie I’ve had on the island. Next time I order I now know to ask them to skip the onions on it :). The cheese pie was top notch, also the best I’ve had on the island. The pizza tasted excellent and super fresh. The delivery was also quick and the driver was very nice.
