LOVELOVELOVE! We come here all the time for the porterhouse for two(perfectly crispy exterior and a beautiful medium rare inside.) The food is always on point and the servers are always knowledgeable and friendly. Tonight we couldn’t leave the house so they made a special home delivery for us the Penne vodka was DELICIOUS and the appetizers were piping hot and still crispy when it got here. The food is always tasty, I love coming here because it’s just like I would cook at home! Definitely recommended!

Had a fantastic meal tonight. This restaurant was formerly«Arena Steakhouse» on Arthur Kill Road. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous. One of my favorite color schemes, red, white, and black. There are very pretty chandeliers and glass tile work throughout the restaurant. It has a very romantic and modern vibe. The food is served family style– although you can get half portions if you choose to. To start, we ordered fried calamari. It was served with a marinara sauce as well as pesto. The calamari and sauces were delicious. We had a hot antipasto platter with bacon wrapped shrimp, baked clams, rollatini, and stuffed mushrooms. Everything was perfect. The salad was fresh and the pasta was homemade. The pasta dish was«Nic Angelo“signature dish. It was a heavenly cream sauce with peas and filet mignon tips. At that point we were too full to go on to a meat dish and instead had dessert and cappuccino. The staff was attentive and gracious. The staff has a saying, «You’re only a stranger once» and they are right. The restaurant is having their grand opening at the end of March and I can’t wait to go back.

. I’ve never written a review before but I felt I had to after our first time visiting last night with a large group. The ambiance was very nice upon entering. Not surprising for the South Shore. We were greeted by the head waiter and Matrie’d who proceeded to show us wines that were not yet offered, whatever that meant. To make a long story short, the family style food was adequate tasting, nothing out of the ordinary. The chicken dish was a bit on the dry side, the salads were on the small side and nothing special, the penne and brocolli rabe and sausage had not even enough brocolli rabe or sausage for even three people to taste, not such big portions as another restaurant that we frequent on the island but the price tag for a party of 8 was extremely steep, almost 700.00 with tip, high 8’s. When I spend 85.00 for a plate of food and one glass of wine, I want to be impressed and full, neither of which happened. After 3 bottles of wine at 45 a bottle, none of us walked away full, impressed and not even one mixed drink for anyone. Needless to say, will not be recommending to anyone.

Ok. The family style service can prove to be pricey for things you would not usually pay a large amount of money for. In most restaurants, side dishes would normally be served with your entrée but here you will pay extra for them. Not sure if the creamed spinach is the Peter Lugar’s product available at Costco. No biggie if it was as I enjoyed it but it is real similar.

This is family style, with a pleasant ambiance, wonderful service, and delicious food. Four of us cousins went for dinner last night and ordered mesclun salad, risotto stuffed mushrooms and chicken saltimbocca with a side of sautéed spinach. The portions were huge — next time we will order half portions for a smaller group. Pinot Grigio was our wine of choice and cappuccino for dessert. Every single item was just fantastic. All of us plan to return and showcase this relatively new place to all our friends and family — we noted that for a Friday night, there weren’t enough people filling the large space. There is also a separate steak menu which looked great. May come back for this next time!

Living on Statan Island, your not as close to as many fine dining restaurants as you are in Brooklyn or any where else in the city. This was just one of the very few restaurants in our area. Nic Angelos just opened a few months ago and me and my wife were not disappointed. The atmosphere and especially the food was exquisite. The staff was great and the manager walked the room greeting guests, as he should. Food is family style, so we both got half orders. My wife loved this place so much, that she is thinking of having her baby shower there. Yes. They do all sorts of private parties. This is definitely one Italian restaurant you should absolutely try. Glad we did!!! :))))

We decided to try the newly opened Nic Angelos tonight and were pleasantly surprised. The food was good! I had the Chicken Marsala and my buddies had both the Calamari and Eggplant Rollitini. Being family style the portions were big.
