Ribs were tasteless, lean and chewy. Try chewing your leather belt — about the same. Eggdrop soup had almost no egg in it. It had that yellow gooey stuff, and was too tasteless with a bit of salty flavor. Soup went straight into a toilet bowl. Awful dinner despite spending $ 30 on the ‘food’. Containers were not properly closed, soup spilled, duck sauce spilled. It was a freaking mess in the bag. They forgot to pack rice and I had to go all the way back from Captain’s Quarters. Never again I set my foot in that place. Try Pacific Kitchen, they are 100 times better.

Wow has this place gone downhill. The food doesn’t have as good quality as it used to. Not to mention after ordering elsewhere, I now notice they give you such little food for so much $ ! The customer service is TERRIBLE, she is nasty and they also charge you extra for sauces. We no longer order from here. We order from empire schezuan on amboy now. Great change.

Plus that is a request you don’t make a shrimp and broccoli, and you willing add scallions??? What if I was allegric? I mean as the customer your sappose to make me happy which I was not!!! Then they want to charge you 88 cent for brown rice??! Omg!!! that’s crazy I’m sticking to the friendly Chinese ppl I know! Also the wonton soup was have way done WTF

This is the regular run of the mill Chinese take out food found throughout NYC. It very well could be worst, and with a little effort could be much better. It happens to be the best in the area, since the one up in Woodrow Plaza is dirtier and only 2 stars at best.

For a take out small Chinese place it’s very solid and usually always consistent. I get from this place all the time and I’m rarely disappointed. Good portions and cheap enough. Customer service can be annoying. The older owner woman can make you pretty annoyed sometimes

For chinese take out this is the best place to go! Since I am chinese its not often I like to order chinese take out, but if I do this is the most authentic it comes. Their chicken and broc is delicious, better than the numerous other chinese take outs I have tried on SI. I also love their dumplings! :) If I am in the neighborhood I always have to get a chicken and broc with their pork fried rice [:

**DONOTEATHERE** The food at this place should be deemed poison. I have never had Chinese food where the meat was both ice cold & steaming hot at the same time. The beef in the beef & broccoli is like brown, strange jelly instead of a sauce. Ewww! Oh and the people who work there are beyond rude. The retail space in that plaza must be dirt cheap if they can still afford to pay the rent there. If you really want Chinese food from that area, walk to the other plaza at the end of Rossville Avenue and save your intestines the trauma.

Gah, I love Chinese takeout. Chicken and broccoli and sesame chicken are the bombdiggity here. They’re always super quick with the delivery and always gives me extra duck sauce. I could eat here everyday but that wouldn’t be a good idea, would it?

IDK what’s up with these reviews… this has been my family’s take out spot for more than 10 years, and the food is always delicious, hot, and on time. The chicken and broccoli, chicken with black bean sauce, and boneless ribs are great.

3 Stars for food — –2 stars for service. The women that runs the place might be the most rude person I have ever encountered in food service and quite frankly she is mentally unstable. She actually argues with me on the phone and asks me to change my order. The pedestrian food is not worth it due to extremely poor service.

this has been my family’s go-to«ABC chinese» food since the 90’s! its as good as it can be considering most«ABC chinese» food tastes the same. loaded with MSG. the portions are pretty generous and there are always coupon promotions so it seems like a good deal. something tells me 99% of happy fortune’s customers have never tasted real authentic chinese food. oh well. ignorance is bliss around here.
