Loved eating here when I was in school. The atmopshere is relaxed and pretty chill. I miss Staggerin from my college days.

I really like Stagger. It’s a fun, more laid-back bar with pretty decent food. Get the chicken cluckers or the topless moo moo. I want to try Blue Plate here soon.

This is a great place to watch a game or to come before the game. It is in the heart of the cotton district – good luck finding parking! There are TVs everywhere. Not just TVs but good TVs, which is important. The service is great – young kids working hard. Looks like there’s a manager on site that is much older, looks boss-like, which I appreciate. Contrary to Bin612, the girls are on task and professional. Prices are great – perfect match to the quality of food. They make their own fire vodka, which is unique and I salute. Three stars because of the food selection: fried, fried, fried. Also, my draft beer right now is not cold, which is a huge mistake. And is preventable. Beer isn’t cold enough yet? That’s fine and understandable considering you just opened less than an hour ago, but you should have offered me a bottle instead. The food I had was good, I’m just saying the selection is just many different variants of fried food. Fried on a bun, fried on lettuce, fried veggies, fried meat, etc. Clean eaters, this is not your location. Undergrads? Party on. Average group of folks trying to pre-game in the heart of it all? Come on down. Again: good luck finding parking :-P

Stagger inn is a good affordable option for lunch or dinner. Their blueplate is constantly occurring, building your own dish for 3 $ per protein and 1.50 per side. You can usually eat for 7.50 or so. Get the Starkville style sauce! Service will probably be a little slow though, hopefully there’s a sporting event appealing to you on the television.

Amazing service, pretty cool venue, and average food. The names to their food are fun and entertaining, and if you’re looking for a drink their are no shortages here. They have a pool room that was fun, and the staff was overly helpful in every way, but the food did not live up to the billing that previous reviews gave it.

One of my favorite places in town. Great food, great prices, some very good wait staff. The lunch specials are incredibly well priced and very tasty.

We had Friday lunch here during the Christmas break. Service was excellent — good music in the background and ESPN on all channels. I’m not a fried food fan, and they have a lot. But there are plenty non-fried options. In fact, I got the wine and cheese crawfish salad and asked if they could grill the crawfish. They did!!! This means ingredients in the kitchen are breaded on spot! The fried cheese was definitely homemade and excellent. Burger was good, chicken tenders were very very homemade and tenderized and seasoned perfect. And the real test of a sports bar for me is the ranch dressing. It’s homemade and excellent! The only downer: they have SEC banners and are missing the Texas A&M one. I guess I’ll send a thank you from Texas!

In Starkville to see a MSU game and found this place on Unilocal.I walked there from the Hampton Inn on US-12. Easy walk once you dodge the traffic on US12. Staggerin is located in a student neighborhood. On friday night around 7:00pm was a mixture of families and students. By time we left around 8:45 it was starting to trend more toward students. Wait staff is friendly and constantly checking in to make sure we had enough drinks etc. Had a grilled chicken salad with buffalo sauce which was fine about what you’d expect from a sports bar. But real reason to come here is for the TV’s, friendly staff, and proximity to MSU campus before games.

Don’t miss the gumbalaya. Awesome Cajun flavors. Chicken and waffles were simple, southern and amazing after the addition of some franks red hot(I put that shit on everything). Beer selection is pretty damn good, especially for a small college town in MS. Walking distance from campus, it’s the perfect after game brew spot. All was excellent both times(the topless hot chick-a sandwich– was also pretty outstanding). Enjoy!

«Pleasantly surprised» sums up my two eating experiences here. The wings are the best in town and my dining companions report that they’ve got a good burger. Service ranged from good to great, and the prices from reasonable to downright cheap during happy hour.

This place is great! It’s in the Cotton District on Maxwell Street(where the Grill used to be before they moved). The wings are big and cheap(50 cents/each from 3 – 6 Monday through Friday). The«dawgy style» and the«starkville style» are my two favorite, although the traditionals like hot and bbq are good too. They have several tvs throughout the place with games on, as well as a big screen behind the bar. The waitress(Emily, I think) was great, and the manager seemed cool too. Highly recommended!
