The interior of this place is super cute. I got the tamale lunch special with the potatoes and rice. The portions were really big, like most of the Mexican places here are. The service here is very attentive.

Food was very good. Not many people here now but it is 3 pm. Place is a little off the beaten path but worth the hunt. Very nice inside and pleasant. Missed out on lunch special prices. They are from 11 – 3. But 2 of us ate for $ 20 and that was with a beer. Need to try it out.

I gave La Teraza three stars, because when it comes to Mexican food in this part of the country, that’s about as good as it gets. As local Tex-Mex goes, it is fine. The chips and salsa are the best in town; the margaritas are second best, and the food is fine. The service is quick and usually quite friendly. It’s ok.

I was not really pleased with my order or the quality of the food. I ordered the P4 and I drained half a bowl of liquid off the plate. The chicken was plain and not seasoned at all. The resturant does have a good atmosphere and they do offer chips and salsa. The salsa is not fresh. It tastes like it comes from a container. Maybe it’s just me but I go to a resturant for the food and this was just not that great

Of the three Mexican restaurants I’ve visited in Starkville, this one is the best. For standard Mexican fare at a reasonable price, this is as good as I’ve ever had anywhere. The food is delicious and neatly prepared. The staff are courteous, attentive, efficient, and prompt. They get my modified orders right every time. The restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is cheerful as far as I’ve seen. I go here frequently and don’t see that changing any time soon!

I used to frequent this place in it’s previous incarnation as «The Hat» and enjoyed it. However, it is MUCH better now. The atmosphere is good. The food is great(order a P-6!). The portions are very generous. The drinks are just strong enough to get a good buzz on without it being too much.

I’ve eaten here once… back in August of 2011 and I liked the place… Was up in Stark Vegas helping the damn fam move my niece to college and we went there I liked it… thought the building was cool with what looked flagstone tile floors and the general ambence struck me as a hacienda type theme for this restaurant… The damn fam loved the fact that you could order pitchers of ‘ritas… Everyone loved their meals and when I went back in June 2012 I talked myself out of a stop in and went to another Mexican place that I did not like as much… Lesson learned, when I’m back in Stark Vegas and feeling the Mexican jones in my bones then this place is Numero Uno on my list to satisfy that craving!!!

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Starkville! The atmosphere is neat, the food is delicious! I like the chicken with rice and cheese. Also their salsa and cheese dip is good!

I used to live just a half mile away from here, and it was definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant in Starkville. I’m a fan of the veggie fajitas. They have a mirachi band one night a week, but I cannot remember when.
