Plan B Burger Bar

The food there is a bit salty overall. But I would say this is the best restaurant among the ones in Stamford Mall.

We went to watch the Maury show and were looking for a place to get a guick dinner. After 3 hours of good food, great bourbon drinks, and many laughs with our waitress, Samantha, we were very impressed with our find. I would much rather dine a local spot, so glad we chose Plan B for dinner.

Not my favorite place for burger. I have been to 3 different ones: west Hartford, Milford and Stamford. None of them are good enough to come back again.
The food has nothing special about them. Burger is so boring and bum is too dry.
I would rather go to five guys for burger.

Delicious food, delicious drinks, and our server was amazing! The atmosphere is a great mix of casual, trendy and sort of. upscale. Really great food and it came out quickly. Loved it from start to finish. They have a ton of burger options and customization options, but the star of the dish to me, was the sweet potato fries. Just heavenly!

Last minute decision to come here for dinner.
We were pleasantly surprised with the food. We had ordered the following:
— Philly Cheese Steak Burger with a side of green salad
— Tavern Burger with a side of truffle fries
We ordered it as «some pink» which really is medium — medium well. So if you are looking for anything more rare, you are tough out of luck.
The burgers came really quick, which we loved.
Both burgers were great! The truffle fries are amazing! And for the side green salad — it was pretty decent!
Needless to say, we will be back to try other items from the menu! But definitely go with the truffle fries!

I got the biggest, boldest, best damn burger over here! I almost ordered the chicken wings, but went with the Baja burger and I’m very glad– I love spicy food and it had a kick to it, even by my (spice tolerant) standards. The burger came on a lightly toasted bun with fresh jalapeños and avocados. In addition to that, I had an excellent server! My only regret is that I didn’t finish all of the food on my plate, but at least now I have leftovers!

Ok so I didn’t see a big difference in flavor in regards to «organic/​grass Fed» meat but it was still delicious nonetheless. I got the burger flight which I think is amazing option to get 3 mini burgers because someone like me can’t make up my mind. One was chicken, one was pork and the last was beef. They were all great with the sauces and toppings, I just thinking of they have this flight option you should be able to like «build your own flight» just saying guys!
Our server Alexander… needs to be teaching server class okay! He was great on every level. I know at one point my friend said the chipotle butter for the steak didn’t have enough heat for her, Alexander came back with tobasco sauce. She didn’t want that either, said its more salt that anything. He then came back with 4 ramekins with different sauces which I thought was genius and going above and beyond. He didn’t just say want some jalapenos or something, she liked all the sauces so that was a win. He was attentive to our drinks and refills and just fun overall fun. Who wants a boring server?
There was a great drink selection and decent dessert but we were stuffed by the end so it didn’t matter. Will be going back!

Had dinner here last night (11÷21÷15). Food was very good. Had chicken wings with parmesan seasoning on the side. That was my mistake –think it would’ve tasted better on the wings. But the wings were definitely freshly cooked and good. Margarita was too sour. Had the blue cheese burger with bacon and no BBQ sauce with a Caesar side salad. Burger was good but a little dry, guess I was missing the BBQ sauce. Loved the bread, very soft. However, the salad tasted like it was not washed.
Well, definitely try this place again.

Great burger joint. Much better than other selections in the area (other than capital grill ;). Big selection of burgers, cooked to order. Yummy fries and a big selection of beer. And it’s cheap. A win.

Like fast food burger joints, Plan B doesn’t cook burgers to order. They’re quick to disarm, offering a reason before you can ask; «since we grind our meat in house, we can only cook with some pink or no pink. Pink will have pockets of pink.» As if I’m to believe that their particular method of grinding beef changes the physics of cooking meat. And pockets? You can’t even promise that my specific patty will be cooked consistently? Too lazy or too incompetent? Hard to tell.
The ikea décor is covered in food– there was a pickle stuck to the wall of our booth that had enough time to dry. I had occasion to visit the floor beneath our table after I dropped my wedding ring I had been playing with to stay sane while being ignored. The floor was unbelievably dirty. I’d bet my life the floor hadn’t been cleaned in months. Having worked in restaurants I know this comes down to pure laziness. Managers too lazy to sign servers out, who themselves are too lazy to clean after their shift.
Subpar meal, filthy table, walls, and a wine glass with lipstick. Waited entirely too long for a server to greet us and even longer for a check. Won’t be back.

Absolutely love this place. The bar is awesome to hang out with friends. And now karaōke!
I usually call in for take out and they do a great job with my order. A couple of hiccups here and there but nothing that would stop me from going back!

Walked in was seated at a table that was broken when I leaned on it it almost fell over on me– so I moved tables was then seated next to a woman who was sick she was coughing and sneezing and hacking up all over the place. Fairly disgusting but not the restaurants fault.
Ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich with gluten-​free bread and some truffle fries and the highlight of the meal was the truffle french fries they were excellent.
Decent chow– but the environment was loud blasting music, my table was uncleaned and sticky as was the floor.
In my mind if the restaurant itself is dirty what does the kitchen look like?

Lousy service even at a low-​volume time, but decent food and reasonable drinks.
My wife and I were in town for a wedding and decided to eat here based on the menu and the proximity to our hotel. The mediocre service started with the hostess who seemed to be in a giant hurry even though there wasn’t a lot going on. In the next ten minutes she seated the next two parties on either side of us. When the waitress got there, she looked at the three tables and just loudly asked us all, «Who got here first?»
We ordered drinks. Then we ordered food. Then we didn’t see our server again for 15 minutes. Off to the side of the bar was a congregation of staff crowded around a laptop. They were there the whole time we were in the restaurant (about an hour). After a while, a runner brought our food to the table. We had not yet gotten our drinks. The runner asked if we needed anything, we said, «Our drinks» and he asked us what our waitress looked like so he could find her. The bartender in the meantime is just chatting with the one guy at the bar. I have never seen a restaurant with so many staff members run so poorly.
The food was decent and the whiskey selection was good and reasonably priced, so I’m going with two stars. I hope that the service is much better on average and that we just had a bad luck night there.

They won’t allow you to cook a burger to your liking, just medium well or well done. Bartenders are more interested I. Their cellphones than making sure you don’t need another round.
Unfortunately not many local burger spots, hopefully we will get something new soon. And not another plan b.

Plan B Burger Bar was the first restaurant my husband and I visited upon arriving in Stamford for a short weekend vacation, and it turned out to be an awesome choice. The atmosphere is casual yet welcoming and the abundance of menu items means that just about anyone can find a burger they’ll enjoy.
For an appetizer we had the lobster hush puppies which were pretty alright, but they could’ve used more lobster. For my main I chose their tuna burger and ordered it medium, which they definitely delivered on. The flavor was good, I just would’ve preferred there to be more wasabi mayo. I also ordered the parmesan fries which were also pretty good, but I’ve had better.
Now their drinks were definitely a lot more pleasing than the food to be honest. I first had a cucumber gimlet and then followed it up with a dark’n’stormy and both were absolutely perfect-​so perfect that I had to give an extra star.
Our waiter was also attentive and service was great, no complaints there. I’d definitely go back to try one of the many beef burger options!

We must be invisible because our party of 3 just walked out from this place and nobody even said a word.
First off, we were asked how many in our party and she told us she’ll be right with us– sat down and other people came in. She sat two parties back to back before she noticed us again. It really didn’t matter because after we got to our table, we waited a good 15 minutes and left. There must’ve been at least 4 servers, standing by the bar, fucking around instead of actually tending to customers. 3 people passed by our table, looked and continued on like we weren’t even there. I should’ve taken a picture or a video of them so at least management will see who they were and maybe fix the problem. We left and ate next door. Never again–

I ate here several times during my year spent in Stamford, and was never disappointed. The burgers are tasty and good value, service is pretty good, and there is an excellent selection of beers to wash it down. I ate here in many contexts– with friends, with my girlfriend, with work colleagues– the atmosphere is fine for any of these things, in my view.
Great place in downtown Stamford. I hope to be back in future.

Sorry to say Plan B you have been a decent place for us to get burgers but last two take-​out orders have been a disaster!
After waiting for 40 minutes the burgers were cold and the mushrooms were cold!
NO pickles came with the none of the burgers!
Fries were cold and soggy!
You didn’t even put Bunz in one of the burgers!
Today’s take out order,
again no pickles!
Again no buns on one of the burgers!
Nasty old fries!
Definitely I feel safe now to say no more Plan B burgers for us!!!
Where is my plasticware for my burger in the grass???

The Cuban is so delicious, and the green fries (string beans sauteed with sea salt) are amazing.
