The food was good and the Lo Mein was in a large portion. But the service was not very good. The waiter didn’t check on us at all after we got our food, and the only time he did was when he gave us our check. Also he just assumed that the check was going to be paid all together and when asked to separate the check he made it seem like it was a problem to do so.

P.F. Changs has always been a restaurant that I wanted to try. However I always thought that the food was not authentic enough. The ambient lighting is a nice touch and the big mural is very detailed but the food is below what I expected. I ordered the crispy honey chicken with brown rice. At the price of $ 14.50 I would expect a good amount of chicken and brown rice. However I was disappointed with the amount I received. The chicken was barely flavored and the brown rice was not cooked thoroughly causing it to have some hard pieces in it. I never really trusted Asian food chains and this experience at P.F. Changs makes me not trust it more. Maybe I’ll just have to order something else next time. Or if there is a next time.

P. F Changs tries to disguise itself as a very high class Chinese restaurant chain but it isn’t much better quality than anything I’ve had from any local Chinese take-out restaurant I’ve been to. The restaurant looks upscale and the food is satisfactory yes but overall that is simply not enough for above a 3 star rating. To begin, I was a little disappointed that they had no draft beer, only bottles, when they have a fairly extensive drink menu but that’s just preference, not a huge deal. I got the Shaking Beef which tasted very good but for almost $ 18 it was definitely too small of a portion. My friend got chicken lo mein for $ 11 and had much more than I did. The white rice with my meal was either undercooked or not too fresh because some pieces were hard and not very sticky. Our waiter was friendly but after he took our order he did not return to our table until we were finished eating, I had to flag down passing waiters to get refills, etc. Also what kind of Chinese restaurant does not have duck sauce? Anyways, don’t get me wrong everyone in my party enjoyed our meals but with price, service and other factors taken into consideration, it is surely not the best Chinese restaurant ive been to. Not sure if it’s just the Stamford location. If your in the mood for Chinese this will satisfy, but don’t expect anything crazy.

What has happened to this restaurant? I have never seen anything as badly managed and handled. I first started going last year– and while not amazing– got decent food and found the staff friendly and personable. Since Thanksgiving the service is just horrible– with the food not much better. I have sat at a dirty bar waiting to be acknowledged for over 20 minutes while the bartenders have their backs to the patrons. I don’t get it. This is a chain and I’ve been to many other cities where I’ve had good meals with great service– what is happening at the Stamford location? The last time I was here– I was so ignored, I just left and went next door. What a shame.

Disappointing service. Sooooooo slow and disorganized. The food was fairly good minus the soapy taste of the won ton soup(which they didn’t credit us for). The sushi was very dry. The dim sum was fairly good and our entrees were pretty standard pf changs good. Ive had much better experiences at Boston and white plains

After a long day of shopping I was excited to hear that there was a PF CHANGs next to the mall. At 3 pm we were the only customers in the restaurant so needless to say the service was good and the food was ready fast. The lunch menu is cheap and can’t be beat! 8 – 10 dollars/meal. I had the beef and broccoli which was decent but not my favorite. Was comparable to the local Chinese store with delivery. Will stick with what I love next time — the chicken lettuce wraps(if there is a next time).

I don’t know what these people are talking about. The food portions have actually upgraded. Staff was super friendly. Place was clean and food was delicious.

Well this place has taken a turn for the worse. I was(unfortunately) here for lunch and dinner the same day and both times it was totally underwhelming. I got the walnut shrimp with melon for lunch. I get it all the time, I know what it’s supposed to taste like. The one I got in Stamford was undercooked and missing a bunch of sauce. It was really quite bad, especially for a chain where everything is standardized. The wait to get the food was also ridiculously long for the place being about half full. Dinner was worse. We never got to see our waiter, just a person helping the wait staff out because they were busy. Appetizers took half an hour to come out, and they didn’t come out together. Apparently they had a problem with the steamer in the back. Entrees took a year and a day to come out and my ahi tuna was like a salt explosion. Not enjoyable. The whole ordeal took like an hour and a half and nothing about it was enjoyable. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This PF Changs is plain old bad.

Well they got their act together here and the food comes out great and consistant. Service at the bar is a little shakey but fine. Enjoyed my meal the last few times. Glad to see they sorted out the issues.

I was pleasantly surprised with the food I ordered today. The kung pao chicken tacos(appetizers) were amazing and I would have eaten about 20 of them! They were beautifully plated with Jicama tacos and each taco was so flavorful! I would be careful not to order the red hot peppers though you don’t like your food spicy. The management and staff has changed since I wrote my last review so I would definitely give this establishment five stars!

It’s your typical fast food chain restaurant. If you’ve been to one, you’ve been to all. We went here for dinner because we were given a gift certificate. Free dinner so why not? We ordered the calamari to start with and for the price of it, we were expecting a huge serving. Wow, I guess we haven’t been here in a while because they must’ve cut the serving in half. Not just for the app, also for the main course. The good thing was not skimping on alcohol on his drink. Good thing this was free dinner. The server was a little pushy. He kept asking me if I wanted a drink and I kept telling him that I’m good with just seltzer water. He must’ve asked me more than 3 times which kinda got a little annoying. I know he was just doing his job. Anyways, if you want to pay over priced chinese food, this is the place to be…

Omar from the restaurant reached out to us to address our previous review. We will be giving PF Changs another chance in the near future. We can’t wait to post a follow up. Thank you for listening.

Was visiting the Norwalk & Stamford CT area for Pride in the Park. Had a really great time in CT and before heading back to NJ stopped by the Stamford Town Center. We’re a fan of PF Chang’s and we frequent the chain often in NJ. After doing a little shopping we stopped in for a quick bite. We had a good waiter but seemed he was possibly new. Probably wasn’t his first day but could tell he wasn’t seasoned. We ordered appetizers which the dumplings were delicious. I ordered the California rolls which was good but poorly rolled. Soon as I tried lifting them it fell apart. If the roll made it to the soy sauce it fell apart. For our entrée, we had the beef something & I had the Dan Dan Noodles. The beef entrée(see pic) was very over cooked. The beef was so over cooked it wasn’t edible. The manager was called and she basically said that’s the way it’s made which again that is my bf normal dish and we share all the time and that wasn’t normal. The Dan Dan Noodles were over cooked but the flavors were there. A family which say across from us complained to the waiter that she had 2 small pieces of chicken in her salad. Guess we should have read the Unilocal reviews because this place continuously gets bad reviews. I’m giving 2 stars for the dumplings & our waiter.

OK, once again I will reiterate … I’m not a fan of chain restaurants. Yet I keep returning to this P.F. Chang’s again and again. A convenient eatery when traveling in Stamford? Possibly. But I think I know the real reason … and it’s a fairly simple one. It’s the friendliness of the staff, the quick service, the ability to customize a dish rather than just stick to the set menu … it is about relating to me as an individual. How incredibly refreshing! So while the blandness of a standard P.F. Chang’s might not make an all-star line-up for a sweet-spicy addict such as myself … the folks at this Chang’s know how to kick things up several notches. Starting with a garlic noodle base, adding lots of shrimp, and hitting it with some sweet fire. Mmmmmmmm. We have a winner. Pass me a Jameson’s and Ginger … and let’s get to dinner!
