I’ve been here a decent amount of times and it’s been good no complaints. But my two stars would be from my last two visits which were not all that great. One time I ordered for delivery, lomo saltado, and when I opened it up it was burnt… And I don’t mean like that burnt that sometimes tastes good, no, I mean the burnt hard black crunchy not good kind of burnt. So I called them back and they were busy at the moment so I was told when a delivery driver was available and not busy with the orders before they would bring me another one unless I wanted to pick it up right now… Not cool. Second time, this time we are there, it wasn’t so much the food although it wasn’t great either but the staff… No one said anything to us we sat for a while we had to call someone over to get our drinks after 10+ minutes. Did like this place but now I’m not going back.

Really, really tasty. Awesome salsas(green and red), meats seasoned and cooked to perfection, and roasted jalapeño garnishes add the right amount of heat. Park on a side street and get in here!

I have driven/walked by this place about 100 times and finally tried it last night. The food was delicious and I will definitely be back. I have had Lomo/Pollo Saltado many places in area, NYC, Port Chester but this was by far the best Ive had. Big Portions + Tons of flavor + small prices = great deal.

Good food, pleasant staff and good value. I really like it and recommend it. They have good variety of entrees and appetizers and soups. I have never been disappointed by anything at this place. The chicken is excellent.

This is the first time I’ve had Guatemalan food and for something that sells for cheap, authentic Guatemalan dishes, this one really takes you off your seat. Mi Ranchito is a known Peruvian restaurant here in Stamford and I love how their servings are so huge!!! Price range is around 7 – 16 dollars and it’s pretty cheap for something that can feed 2 – 3 people(not kidding). They also serve free nachos with great salsa before your meal and you can ask for free nacho/salsa refills. I can’t even remember the name of what I got but basically it’s all grilled chicken, steak, adobasado, sausage with rice and grilled jalapeño. This is with their salsa and home made guacamole. I’ve never tasted anything else so good. The flavors are very very rich and you’ll leave craving for more!

The staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. The food is mediocre ATBEST. The enchiladas(if you want to call it that) are terrible, 1 corn chip topped with shredded beets and onions? Where’s my melted meat and cheese? Confused and dissatisfied customer. If you’re going to serve a shredded beet salad as an enchilada, at least put a description on the menu. The meat is complete trash. It is paper thin and dry as a bone, I literally can’t even chew it! Is this beef jerky from a plastic bag?

We were really excited about this place because of the reviews. However, we were disappointed. One of us ordered the burrito and I got the pupusas. The rice with the burrito was ok. Our major gripe is the service. We received chips about five minutes before we got our food. Also, a party of six was seated 15 minutes after our arrival(we were a party of 2). They received their food first(½ of the party’s order) before we received ours. Perhaps this might’ve been an off day?

Food was really good, but my dinner was pretty expensive for a bunch of random ingredients schlopped onto a plate. But it was really good! I’d go back fo sho

First off, the green sauce in the squirt bottle or on the side of some plates = ‘Aji’. It is TASTY here. We passed by this place hundreds of times before we went for dinner after it came up in a conversation w/friends from town who regularly bring their older kids for lunch & dinner. We tried numerous dishes w/our 17yr old son and 12 yr. old daughter. Everything was well received and we actually ordered too much food. The portions are generous. The staff will explain any dishes on the Spanish menu. I have been back for lunch by myself and with my son. Each time I’ve tried something different. Each time it was a pleasant experience. Yes, I do recommend it.

Love this place. I ALWAYS get the melon liquado with leche, it is amazing. I don’t even like cantaloupe that much, but I love it in this drink. The chips and salsa that come free are really tasty. Anything saltado is great. Carne Asada too. That light green sauce in the squeeze bottle! What is in that? It’s so good. There’s also a mixed seafood assortment that’s pretty delicious. Pupusas are really good too. Trouble with this place is, you really like the things you’ve already had, so it’s difficult to make yourself try a new thing. Next time I’m getting a sandwich and a flan.

The restaurant is basically no frills… the floor is sticky, the bathroom was weird, the décor is old, stale and dated but you disregard all that and its straight up great food! My husband had the lomo saltado and the steak was delicious. I had the Pescado a los macho… it was amazing. The fish was so well seasoned as well as the rest of the seafood in it. Absolutely great Peruvian food. Try this place!

Holy smoke… I enjoy this restaurant more and more each time I visit. The staff are pleasant and accommodating, and will explain anything you’re unfamiliar with. And I encourage you to use that to it’s fullest, and wander out of your comfort zone while you’re here. From amazing ceviches, to bubblingly hot and oozing pupusas, to fresh fish and the best lomo saltado and other entrees… there is no risk. It’s all tasty, plentiful and inexpensive. And I get a BIG A$$ slice of flan at the end of my meal. So worth it.

This restaurant is Guatemalan and Peruvian. I lived in Guatemala and I can say this is authentic. Have been twice for a late lunch in the weekend with my family and enjoyed both times. Love the pupusas with cheese as a starter and had the main course Bandeja Chapin both times. This includes 3 different meats, platanos, rice and salad for $ 12. Filling and delicious. Not a gourmet restaurant, but good value, friendly and reminds me very well of many restaurants in lovely Guatemala.

The service was fast but we we’re there around brunch time so not very crowded. The Lomo Montado was perfect for breakfast even though it wasn’t on the breakfast menu. Steak was tender and juicy. Got the cerviche mixto which had a larger variety of seafood than most mixtos I’ve had before with octopus, shrimp, squid, clams, mussels and fish and was not too acidy with Peruvian corn on the cob and sweet potato for balance. Décor won’t win points but prices are very reasonable and I’m all about food and service anyway.

Second time here. Had the fried pork chop. I loved it. The presentation was on point and there are pictures on the wall of certain items. Makes you want to buy everything. If you’re more than 5 people then call ahead. Small but nice.

Just moved to Stamford and this place is right down the street. I tried it my first night here and I loved it. The service was fantasticly friendly. As soon as we sat down they brought us chips and salsa. The good kind of chips that you know they make themselves cause there’s still a tiny layer of oil on them from being fried. You can also tell that this place is authentic because all their signs are written in spanish and they had spanish dancing competition playing on TV. (The menu looked very appetizing so it took us a moment to decide and the waiter came by 4 times in 7 minutes asking if we were ready to order. I like attentive service but sweet baby jesus, let me breathe!) We ordered the mixed ceviche, panes con chilies relleno, and pollo saltado. The ceviche was absolutely fantastic. it had a good mix of types of seafood, but basically only had one of each of the larger items: fish, shrimp, crab, clam, and mussel. It also had a good portion of squid, red onions, large Peruvian corn, and sweet potatoes. This was probably the highlight of the meal. The panes con chilies relleno was basically a sandwich of minced beef, peppers and onions with lettuce tomates and onions on a cuban bread. It was topped with their«special house sauce» which was very tasty. It was close to some kind of seasoned liquidy mayo. The pollo saltado was chicken with mixed veggies. It was huge for only $ 8 and also came with rice. They also served this with the house special sauce on the side to allow the diners to douse their foods in this creamy goodness. I’m so glad that this place is a 2 minute walk from my new home. Will definitely be eating here often.

Great food! We ordered platanos, chips & salsa, and lomo with chicken and beef. Everything tasted great. The sauce was delicious… I really wish I could take the bottle home. Our waiter, Chris, was attentive and friendly. Try the melon(cantaloupe) milk shake. It’s delicious!
