Great breakfast! Pancakes where as always delicious and the staff was also as always nice and helpful! Greta restaurant but just make sure to get there early cause no matter what day what time of year it’ll always be packed in the mornings.

Called IHOP to make sure that they could accommodate a party of 8 or 9 and upon arrival 30 minutes later was told that they are closed for the day at 5 pm on a Friday. No one working knows how to cook. Is there a minus one star rating?

This place was just disgusting. Horrible service, there was either a table busser or waitress who kept coming to place things on our table and she was very aggressive. She kept slamming things down and talking to other employees loudly with what seemed to be an attitude. The food was made poorly and didn’t taste like any ihop I’ve ever been to, the presentation turned me off, plates, cups, and flatware were dirty, all in all I was disgusted by this experience. Just stay away from this place.

Never had a problem. The place is old, dated and tiny. On weekends, you need to get here early or you’ll be waiting. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

We moved to Stamford 2 yrs ago and are major IHOP fans. This place is a far reach from the IHOP reputation. We have endured this place longer than we should have because we love IHOP s food. We have witnessed staff members wrapping the silverware, into napkins, on the back tables by the bathroom laughing and talking over the silverware and wearing no gloves! Saturday was the breaking point. We came in for a take out order. The young lady who was cleaning high chairs in the waiting area, came over, put the Brillo balls and the Mr Clean sponge down and placed the order. Never had on gloves, never cleaned her hands! So 15 minutes later when the food is ready, she proceeds to, AGAIN, put the high chairs backs, put down the Brillo and mr. Clean sponge to pack our food?! Really??? How unsanitary. So I say to her, «Ms. You can’t touch our food, your hands are not clean.» She tells me, «I’m not touching the food, just the containers, but I’ll wash my hands if you’d like.» With that she goes to the bathroom to wash her hands(maybe!) and the manager continues to pack up the order. If this is what’s done in front of customers, I can only imagine what else happens here. We will not return!

My girlfriend absolutely loves the cheesecake pancakes. So on a whim, we decided to go here. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The biggest issue happened just as we finished eating. As we were getting ready to leave, a cockroach crawled across the table divider that separates the tables. My girlfriend killed it with a napkin and I immediately went to find the manager. He came over to the table and seemed skeptical. We walked back to the front of the restaurant to pay the bill and another cockroach was climbing the wall towards the kitchen. After it was pointed out, the manager handed the waitress a napkin and had her dispose of it. The manager apologized profusely, said that they’d recently sprayed but they’d have to spray again. The manager cut our bill in half for the experience.

The worse IHOP. It smelled like old, dirty wet rags. Very crowded. My sister and I ordered medium well burgers with fries. Instead we got well done burgers with old, reheated fries. Behind the the row of neatly lined syrups was a dead fly sunbathing and well on its way to being fried. I covered it with an equal sugar packet so that I could manage to hold a conversation with the others at my table. Heather, our waitress, was okay. I sensed her frustration with us when we asked for fresh fries. But she should be glad that we didn’t send everything back to the kitchen. I recommend that you skip the IHOP and find another place to dine. This was not good.

I recently went here with a group of 5 or 6. Questionable sanitary conditions in the kitchen, majority of our food was undercooked, and the waiter never delivered our drinks. Not going back. Seriously, this place is really really dirty.

Don’t come to this place for lunch or dinner. My friend and I went last night. It was a chilly night and they had the air-conditioning up so high I felt like I was turning blue. We were actually the only one’s in the restaurant at the time and although we complained about the air-conditioning, nothing was done. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich and the chicken came out ice cold, like it just came out of a freezer. They were out of the sourdough bread it was supposed to come on so she had to order it on wheat bread. She sent the sandwich back as it was inedible. Last week they were out of diet coke. I’m not coming here again. I’d rather go to Bull’s Head Diner a few blocks away.

Let’s just say the word of the day here is «shit». It seemed like everyone here used that word several times. No regard to my children who have very good hearing were sitting at the table. Very surprising. Food was A typical of Ihop.

I was surprisingly satisfied with my meal(scrambled eggs and whole wheat pancakes). The waitress was awesome as she memorized 7 peoples orders without pen and paper. I am knocking off a star for not having utensils on the table when the food has already arrived. And also the glasses for our drinks were not ready(capacity overload) so all 7 of us got our drinks at different times(not a big deal but how can you run out of glasses for a set amount of table…)?

I commend the staff at IHOP stamford for great service on this Christmas Day. Our food came quickly, and the staff didn’t rush us even though they wanted to go home to their families. The staff was friendly, courteous, and efficient. The food was great.

I’m rating IHOP for what it is. It’s not the four seasons, but it was clean and the staff was friendly and quick. The food was exactly as you’d expect at IHOP – Huge portions, pretty tasty and a bargain. We are big breakfast outers, and reviews have kept me from trying IHOP in past. Too bad, because it is decently priced, tasty food. We’ll be back.

I’ve been to multiple IHOPs in the past. I’ve never been to one that has been this bad. The place smelled of urine as soon as we walked in. It wasn’t just me that noticed it too. The food was the regular IHOP fare but I wasn’t able to make substitutions for meat which makes no sense whatsoever. I didn’t want meat in one of my ordered items and they wouldn’t switch it out for hashbrowns or toast(which would have actually saved them money on it). And FYI, I’ve been to other IHOPS and they’ve been more than happy to switch out those items in my orders. Our server also wasn’t that great. Not really that helpful. I’ll avoid this place next time I’m in Connectiut

The only reason I come here is because I can rely on the french toast to taste awesome! Unfortunately my recent experience wasn’t very good. It was a slow Saturday night for Ihop… they had about 5 servers who seemed to not know what to do with their down time. I came here with my mother and my 2 year old, the server came over about 5 times asking if we were ready to order within the first 5 minutes of us being there. I understand it’s slow but for goodness sakes… can I take off my coat first? Of course when we were ready to order he is nowhere to be found. After we all place our orders, the server tries to be fancy and repeat them back to us. Unfortunately due to his inaccuracy, he got it wrong. This is when I realized he wasn’t writing down our order. We corrected him and off he went. Within the next minute he returned to ask my mom if she wanted sausage or bacon. Then he came back to ask me the same. I was really hoping he came back a third time so I could call his manager over to ask him what this kids problem is. My hash browns, eggs and french toast were slightly burnt… but I was too through with this place to even care. I’ll be taking a break from IHOP, might have to even contact customer service to talk about my experience.

So, I went there this morning after Hurricane Sandy(as did about 500 other people) and walked in to place a to-go order. Everything was fine after waiting for 30 minutes for a Bacon, Egg & Cheese sandwich and a cheese omelet, I got up to check because I was starting to think they forgot about me. I notice my food sitting on top of a cooler. Great place to put hot food! It sits there for about 10 minutes while I stand there like a jackass. By the way, I had prepaid so I could just grab my food and go when it was done, because it was so crowded. So after I finally get my food, the guy gives me this look like«Why are you so pissed?» So I said, my food has been sitting there for 10 minutes, that’s bad service, and now it’s cold. His response? «We’re very busy ma’am» Really, guy? Anyway, the best part is that I’ve been sick all day now and that’s the only thing I’ve eaten today. I’m never going back here
