Been coming here since high school. Top notch Italian deli in Stamford, rivaled only by Fusaro’s on High Ridge. Clientele is very typical Stamford Italian — always find it funny walking in around lunch to see the tables packed and everyone yelling. Sandwiches are my go to but they have gone up in price over the years. Still well worth it!

Definitely not a sit down and eat. We walked over from the hotel across the street. We were greeted by dirty looks from the customers and an environment that made my daughter uncomfortable. It didn’t feel right to leave without purchasing anything, so I tried to purchase a bottle drink. One person refused to ring me out and I had to wait for someone from the far back. This might be a great place for locals, but not very inviting to others. Sad, I was looking forward to trying it out.

Been living in Stamford for 5+ years and have tried every Italian restaurant/deli in the area… Enzo’s is by far the most consistent and authentic spot you will find. When you walk into a deli and you see a bunch of guys talking in Italian with jet black dyed hair and sunglasses indoors… you know it’s legit. I suggest getting a plate of their daily special or the eggplant panini with a soup of the day.

Enzo’s is a high quality Italian deli serving authentic Italian food in an area of Stamford that is pretty much a culinary wasteland. Enzo’s benefits from the fact that there is nothing else edible within 10 square blocks, but the truth is that Enzo’s success is a combination of excellent food and loyal customers. I’ve had multiple dishes from here and they are always super fresh and tasty. Today I grabbed a prosciutto /mozz /peppers that tasted fantastic. A few comments: the bread is light and fresh, but could use a little more character. Also, while the sandwich tasted great, it might benefit from a little more weight. My suggestion would be to raise the price from $ 8.50 to $ 10 and bulk it up a little. Still, this place is great.

Authentic Italian American deli — complete with Italian goodies imported. I heart these«mom ‘n pop» shops. Everyone in here, including the customers, had thick Italian accents! To me, that’s a good sign :). My husband and I got paninis — I got The Godfather and husband got The Sicilian Hero — and both had fresh ingredients which made for a tasty sandwich for lunch. The size of the panini was really big. We both got full with a half panini and saved the other half for later. Only thing I think was a bit disappointing was that the Unilocal offer they had for free water/soda with check-in was a fluke. The owner(I’m assuming) said, «I don’t know why that is there, but it’s not going on». I think that’s kinda shady. That’s all. Despite the Unilocal fluke, I would come here again for a panini sandwich if I’m in Stamford again.

A great spot at the beginning of Summer Street to grab lunch. As well as picking up some tasty sandwiches, you can also get sauces, bread, cookies and other assorted Italian foods. You will likely see some regulars chilling here as someone else mentioned, which is a very positive sign in my opinion. The sandwiches are good and served in a generous portion. Will hopefully check out their breakfast and other offerings over time. & a friendly staff as well.

Terrible salads! Ordered take out and got a few days old greens and limp dead looking vegetables and uncooked chicken! What a terrible waste!

Enzo’s is a few blocks from where my parents live. I’ve been three times on two trips. The espresso is damn good, hard to find this in Stamford in the past. The atmosphere is terrific — guys sitting around talking in Italian about who knows what. It’s not clear if they live in the restaurant or just stop in, they are always there, but it feels like a neighborhood shop in Italy. For that alone, it gets the five stars. There’s a small but interesting selection of Italian foods, I bought some Italian tuna for my parents, there’s fresh mozzarella, fresh pasta, and other canned and bottled goods. Just a nice place to go.

This place is Old School and I love it! It feels like Italy here since it’s full of old Italian men yelling at each other in Italian. The food is tasty authentic, and the portions are generous. Don’t bother asking about the Unilocal offer because he doesn’t know what it is, but don’t let that deter you. The Reuben is fantastic.

Stale bread. Sandwiches not very flavorful. And, finally, my order was wrong. I ordered seafood salad, and was delivered tuna salad. I think the positive reviews are from friends and family of the business.

Drove up from Bridgeport on Monday. Nice family run deli. I ordered the Godfather hero, it was excellent. Place was packed. Felt like I was in a small Italian grocery in ny. Love to bring my father here. Enzo, the owner introduced himself to me, seemed like a class act. Definately will be coming back. Buona Fortuna!

Enzo’s lives up to its reviews. We ordered an assortment of sandwiches on line for take out. The assortment included several panninis, Rubens, combo subs, corned beef and roast beef. All were very good with delicious meats and fresh bread. The prices are hard to beat as well: 10 sandwiches = $ 78.

Enzo’s is at the top of my list for delis in the area! The best sausage egg and cheeses! They have fantastic generous lunch sandwiches as well, everything is fresh, and they use all Boars Head products. They are open Sundays, which is very nice. Enzo makes fantastic spaghetti sauces, the Vodka sauce is amazing, pick up a jar! Enzo and his wife run the business, what a great family place, they make it feel homey!

This place is great. I had a tasty breakfast sandwich, which had the perfect amount of cheese and bacon. I also got a mini lobster tail pasty which was phenomenal. The shell was perfectly cooked, flaking away with each bite. The owners are the cutest Italian couple that foster a welcoming environment. I will 100% be back to try their Italian meats and cheeses. Only wish they had more seating, but didn’t upset me enough to take away a star. A must try local spot.

Whether you pop in for a breakfast sandwich(scrambled egg with cheese and bacon) or lunch(eggplant flat bread), the food is delicious. The atmosphere is also terrific, tables full of men chatting in Italian. This place is the real deal!

Enzo’s is the only deli I go to in Stamford. I freaked out a little when they left Hope St because I thought they were gone until I discovered they only moved over to Summer St. They know how to make a great sandwich on delicious bread. They’re quick, friendly and they’re even open later than most delis, I think 6pm.

I had a get in, get out lunch here a while ago. A line can build up during peak lunch time, but they do a good job of putting orders together quickly. They sell paninis for $ 7 and I quickly jumped on that deal. It was actually a pretty tough decision as Enzo’s offers a lot of options. Nonetheless I was very happy with my choice as I had a great meal. I would definitely come to Enzo’s again. I wish there was more parking though!
