The Greek food was okay, the ambience was nice but the food is not super good, and not much to rave about. I have had better greek food in NY. Okay restaurant. Chx kebab sandwich was the one of the best dishes.

I have always wanted to order from here because of the good reviews from Unilocal and my colleagues likes this place. I ordered Kotopoulo Kabob, which is basically grilled lemon chicken eith potatoes. When the food arrived I was very excited because I smelled so good, to my disappointment, my chicken was burnt, and even the veggies. I could not even believe they packed it like that and delivered. It was the first and last time I will order from here

Eos has been our go to spot for years. Usually we order a few apps(mezedes), salads, and dips to share with the table.

I have been a customer of Eos for at least over a year. Every, if not every other Friday, my daughter and I order the same salad to go. Despite the high price we continued to order week after week because their salad was the best we’ve found. For the past few Friday’s the salads have been increasingly worse. This last week was the last straw. The tomatoes were mushy and flavorless, the lettuce was bitter and full of cores and the cucumber was inedible(rotten). If that wasn’t bad enough my daughter found a short black hair in her salad. I finally decided to call to see what was going on with my favorite salad. After speaking to the manager, I was told«well you know it’s really not tomato season». In regards to the hair I was told, «The hair could have been a vegetable hair.» This hair was definitely from a human not a vegetable. He also promised a reimbursement which I didn’t ask for but still have yet to receive. We will not be returning.

I couldn’t possibly say enough good things about this place. First of all the food is genuine and truly phenomenal — so much flavor! — You would think that you are in Greece!!! It’s owned by a Greek couple and the whole family works there, even Mama in the kitchen!!! The service is excellent, The Decour just perfect, the place is just upscale enough without being over-the-top, and I think the prices are quite fair and the portions quite generous! If you’re looking for really good Greek food in a really nice environment with excellent service drop what you’re doing — and go there… Now!

Eos is a wonderful Greek restaurant nestled in the heart of downtown Stamford. The ambiance is great– blue-ish/white interior with interesting paintings on the walls. We had a reservation for two set for 8:15pm on Saturday and the restaurant was bustling, but not overcrowded either. Perfect. My dining companion and I both ordered wine– Malbec and Chardonnay respectively. Eos has quite an array of wines to choose from, which I like. Our waitress(Virginia) was sweet, kind, and knowledgeable. We decided on sharing a few tapas plates in order to sample many items from the menu, which proved a smart idea. We had the Tzatziki, Spanakopitas, Keftedes(meatballs), and Grilled Octopus. The Spanakopitas were good(not great), but the others were to die for. Absolutely delicious and flavorful. For dessert we had the Baklava(wonderful). All totaled, including 2 glasses of wine each and a generous tip, the bill was $ 113– not bad at all for a Saturday night complete with great food, ambiance, friendly service, and a fantastic dining experience. I plan to be back often.

This was my first time at the restaurant, and I’m wondering why I waited so long. I called late afternoon and made reservations for that evening. When we arrived, we were immediately shown to a nice table. The restaurant is very welcoming, and the room is elegant with lighting that creates a pleasant, soothing ambience. They obviously do a good business, the restaurant was full, but wasn’t too noisy, just lively, exactly the way I like a restaurant to be. Our server was named Virginia, and as pleasant, professional and kind as can be. We ordered some excellent wine. We told our server that we were thinking of having small plates and she recommended several. We ordered, Tzatziki, Spanakopita, Keftedes(greek meatballs) and Grilled Octopus. First the Tzatziki and Spankopita arrived promptly. Both of which were delicious. Later the meatballs and grilled octopus were served, and were equally yummy. The meatballs were tender and wonderful. At one point the hostess came by and said she noticed that our table was slightly uneven(we didn’t even say anything about it), and put something underneath to fix it. So this is an example of attention to detail we observed. We split a baklava for dessert, which once again, was excellent. I should also mention that the price was very reasonable for such a nice dinner. The people at this Eos really know what they are doing. We loved our evening here and will be coming back soon. Highly recommended.

My office regularly orders from here… The food is unbearably salty the last three times we ordered. It’s like you are kicking a block of salt. So much potential here but ruined by a chef with a heavy hand.

The food is decent overall but the wait staff is not great and they are not accommodating to people with celiac disease. I went here with my husband and friends during restaurant week. My friend has celiac disease and the waiter proceeded to tell us that nothing on the fixed menu could be changed. Food was decent but nothing amazing or special. The waiter got our order wrong and did not apologize for it. He almost seemed angry when we corrected him. I would try other restaurants in Stamford before returning.

Never had a bad meal here. Actually never even had a decent meal here. Everything is excellent! The lemon chicken soup and steak gyro are unreal. I got these via take out tonight and they were still delicious. Dine in or take out it’s all great.

Love love love this place. I’ve tried the lamb, the grilled seafood, the fried cheese thing which I can’t recall the name of. Great service, nice environment, high end greek cuisine highly recommend

The Maitre D place me at a table where it aligned at the crack/meeting of the wall sofa seats. Not a big deal because I just moved to the next table upon her departure. However, I was puzzled how this was even offered when the restaurant was only at 10% capacity. The restaurant space and décor has a nice romantic feel. As with most restaurants, the table for two is always too small. When the waiter has to remove items(candle, salt & pepper, small plates) and place them on the other tables, obviously there is an issue with the size of the tables. Pita and Garlic Dip — Dip is delicious and the bread remained warm during the enjoyment of the appetizer. Whole Branzino — Served fillet and was cooked/grilled well. I was annoyed the fish head was not served and typically I prefer to fillet it. Otherwise, the branzino was grilled and seasoned well. Priced at $ 32. A little high in my opinion. Vegetables are overcooked(i.e. Cauliflower tasted as if they were taking a steam bath for 2 hours, dandelion stems were not bright in color but came out in this awful greenish color.) Overall, the food is average and when desiring an option other than burgers, pizza, and pasta; EOS is one of the only options in Stamford.

As enthusiastic as we were about eating at EOS, each time we go we are less and less impressed. I’m not big on writing each and every reason. Just not as happy

Went here on a Friday night. Food was below average to average. Nothing like the Greek restaurants in Astoria. The service was atrocious. Our food took forever to arrive and we were ignored almost the entire night. Or drinks sat empty. A Don’t waste your money here.

Well, I’ve been to this place 3 — 4 times, and was consecutively served outstanding food each time. However, the past two visits make for an awful experience. Their service is very rude, and discourteous. I can tell that the staff is not at all interested, and they lack a management answerability. Some others have also complained about bad service, and they are spot-on Experience 1: Enter the restaurant on a Wednesday at 8:30PM(their timings say 10:30) and am told that«we closed early because of a slow night». Although you don’t hear this kind of a thing at a good restaurant, but understandable Experience 2: Too Annoying: Plan to go there for dinner on a Thursday evening the following week. Call at 9, and try to make a reservation for 4 at 9:10. Person of the phone confirms and asks me to come, and informs me to come on time because kitchen closes at 9:30. Fair enough. I reach at 9:05, and they again tell me that they’re closing down, and they can’t do any proper entrée? are you serious? never going back here. I would take my business to a place where i’m respected!

Great food! Everything was delicious. The place is nice but a little cramped. Service was great in the beginning but then it took a really long time for our check to come. It was like our server kind of disappeared. I would come back here though, for sure.

EOS is a fine Greek restaurant. The quality of the food is great and the service is fantastic. I had their Greek salad with feta cheese an it was very fresh. I also had braised lamb which was very flavorful and the orzo was cooked perfectly. Finally, I finished the meal with their spice cake. It kind of resembles carrot cake and was slightly tough so I would not recommend this dish. Overall, EOS is a restaurant that executives good greek food in the area.
