Went there for lunch today. First impression was poor – dark and only two tables occupied in this large restaurant. Service was slow – and when it did arrive both entrees were cold in the middle. The moussaka came alone on a large plate, looking quite naked. Either some greens or side should be added to make it a more attractive presentation. We would not recommend it

Overpriced! Ordered pork souvlaki and they gave you 5 tiny pieces of pork, pita bread, French fries and yogurt sauce all for $ 15. No tomatoes, no onions. Will not go back

My husband and I went there to use a groupon. It was my first time trying Greek food and it was great! The only reason they don’t get 5stars is because my husband ordered a blue moon and they did not fill it to the top and did not put an orange on it. The owner is a sweetheart, she was very attentive and polite. Will def be going back!

Great place. Food was all really authentic and fresh. Fish was super tasty and dessert was hade in house to order. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Will be back for sure.

My fiancé and I love this place. We come once a month(we don’t eat out often) and we love it. Order everything, even the sardines are great! You feel like the table your sitting at is yours for the whole night. It’s so warm and welcoming. We know the owner(if your here for a night and don’t know the owner by the time your leave, you’re not fun enough:).) The bartender is amazing, she has such a way of explaining things that just make your mouth water. Order anything she suggests. Always sit at the bar if you’re into that sort of thing. She’s awesome.

When this place first opened we enjoyed a few appetizers and drinks on a few occasions and were very impressed with the food. However subsequently, and we have given it a few tries for lunch. The food is now mediocre. The tasting platter was straight out of the can, everything was over salted and the chicken rubbery. Nothing was fresh tasting. We usually eat Greek cooking in NYC, so we understand great Greek cooking… this isn’t it.

Oh my. I went there about a year ago right after they opened and had octopus appetizer, stuffed, really amazing. I think we also had a couple of other things, and they were very good too so I had high expectations. I still think about how tasty that octopus dish was. Went again recently for lunch and it was not good. Everything was salted to death, some of it seemed not fresh like the wrapped grape leaves which were hard, chicken was mediocre, fries didn’t seem home made as stated. Pita bread was delicious though. Possibly just a bad day, I’ll try it again in the evening sometime. I love Greek food so I’m hopeful. That being said the waitress was very nice, really attentive, and it is a lovely environment. One thing, please don’t play music that has commercials, it is so distracting when you are trying to have a nice meal. Everyone has a music playlist on an iPhone or iPod.

Great Greek food, a must try! Fresh fish, grilled meats! Beautiful atmosphere! Amazing desserts. A new chef just came from Greece as of Feb 20th, I hope everything stays the same. We have been here many times. Its always great.

Saw this on Groupon and was a great deal, didn’t have any expectations coming in but am so glad I did. The atmosphere is very comfortable with exceptional lighting. The food is phenomenal. Waitress was superb. Order the baked feta rolled in sesame seeds with a side of marmalade(not on the menu but the waitress recommended) and was beyond amazing. the Horiatiki salad was so delicious — light and refreshing. The Keftedes were good. Am going to come back to try the red snapper. Highly recommended.

We have been here multiple times. The food is fantastic — everything tastes authentically Greek. This is traditional kitchen cooking from your grandmother, with some modern flair. You can see and smell the meats being grilled and spit-fired. The small touches are fantastic — the Greek olive oil, the salts, the seasonings, they are all legit. We usually go for the meats or the«comfort» stews. Our guests most recently had the fresh fish«lavraki» and loved it. The owners asked us for our thoughts/advice the first time we went. We suggested certain children’s meals. Those meals were on the menu the very next month! The kids especially love the shish kebab chicken and pork skewers and the desserts. Highly recommended.

We have been here twice, and will be going back. Teddy, the owner was very welcoming, service was good and the food was amazing! The lithos chips are very good. The fish was fantastic, fresh and flavorful! We didn’t know which wine to order, the waiter brought out tastings on the different wines, and we settled in on a wonderful bottle! Darien needed a place like this.

We were looking forward to trying this place and they did not disappoint. My wife is Greek so I have Greek food on a daily basis and this place was spectacular. We tried basically everything aside from the fresh fish but everything was great. We highly recommend!!!

Tried this new spot last week with friends and really enjoyed it. The food was great — lots of fresh fish selections as well as traditional Greek fare. The service was fine — a very attentive and friendly waiter walked us through everything. The interior is large and airy — you do not feel cramped at all. Also, the owner came out and served us some of his home made apéritif — very tasty. One complaint — the music could stand some updating to a bit more contemporary selections. Otherwise, we will be back — recommended!

Wonderful meal. We had the fried feta and the stuffed sausage appetizers… almost a meal on their own and delicious! The lamb shank was tender and orzo with feta and tomatoes was a nice match. The grilled pork dish was tasty as well… no room for baklava, but for sure on our next visit. Staff was attentive and the owner stopped by every table to make sure all was well. Great restaurant!

I want to tell everyone that I know about Lithos. An absolutely spectacular Mediterranean restaurant. I went for dinner with my daughter and grand daughter(more about that later). The staff was kind, efficient and solicitous. The owner came to our table and greeted us as if we were old friends. And beyond that it was the food that will bring me back to Lithos time and again. We had feta wrapped in phylo with sesame seeds and honey, stuffed calamari, grilled octopus, cheese pie, Lithos chips and fresh grilled fish. I would like to tell you which one I liked best but honestly each one was a star all by itself. Try and leave room for desert. You will be very happy. Back to my grand daughter… we all know about six year old tastes. Not only did she eat most everything but as we left she asked the owner if they would open the restaurant in Los Angeles her home town. Though the flavors were both subtle and sophisticated they were also pleasing to a six year old. Now that’s cooking.

What a great find! My wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner before heading out for the weekend when we found Lithos. We love Mediterranean food so we thought we’d give it a try. First of all, everyone there was so very, very nice & friendly. It’s normal to be greeted, but everyone was smiling and seemed genuinely happy. We were seated immediately, given our menus and drinks. The food was as amazing as the people, very well prepared and delicious. I had the soft shelled crab & it was amazing. We will definitely be returning to Lithos, it is now at the top of our list for Mediterranean restaurants. The only criticism I have is that the meal took a bit longer than it should have to come out. Our server said it was because it was busy, but it didn’t seem to be so busy that it should affect the service(there were a few empty tables). I would expect that to not happen again, and honestly everything else was so exceptional it was worth the wait.

Great Greek comes to Darien. At long last. All the food was excellent: Spanakopita, Greek Salad, Beet Salad, Roasted Goat, and Chicken with Pasta. Only the lemon potatoes could be improved by making them a little crisper. The attentive and knowledgeable service was just right, as was the light a spacious décor. We didn’t have room for dessert and the fish looked very fresh and delicious. We’ll be back.

Excellent new upscale Greek cuisine. Extensive menu, great staff willing to explain it all… even vegan options. They’re still getting the bugs worked out on service, but the food is great… soups, salads, dozens of appetizers and«small plates», plus many entrees. Deserts are great. Limited wine list, mostly Greek whites and reds, but more are promised. Dinner service also at the bar.
