Ordonez Shoe Repair

I brought in pair of Michael Kors heels that needed the heel tips replaced. I was a bit nervous since some of the reviews were bad.
When I arrived, a couple was being served, their shoes weren’t ready and were asked to come back. I immediately thought I would have the same experience. When it was my turn the girl at the counter asked me what I needed done and when I wanted to pick up. I told her the next day or two, she gave me my ticket, price of service and said my heels would be ready the next day.
I decide to give them time and called before heading in Wednesday, the shoes were ready. Mr. Ordonez had my shoes waiting for me when I arrived. I am beyond satisfied with the Service from the staff, most of them are young, might be family members, which is awesome when you think about it, but can cause issues with customer service if they haven’t been exposed before, either way, I decided to be positive not act like a Diva and be patient. The workmanship on my shoes was fantastic, I told Mr. Ordonez I would bring back more shoes, I have plenty of heels that need some TLC. The location is not far from my work place only about 10 – 15 minutes, when you know where you are going is even faster. I definitely recommend their services, plan a little ahead and leave your shoes a couple days, call before hand to make sure they are ready. I always support family owned businesses and this one is a gem.

I give this place a 2.5 = 1 for service and 5 for the end results.
I have a pair of platform wedge sandals that I paid nearly $ 200 for, but after only a few wears I realized the heel was way too high. I didn’t want to get rid of them so I researched and learned that a cobblers can cut down heels. I decided to try Ordonez based on his 5 stars. The shop is more out of the way than I had expected. When I got there, he quoted me a price that was on definitely on the high end of the scale. When I mentioned the price being a little high, he handed me back the shoes and was willing to let me walk (that should have been a sign). I had just driven all the way there so I was already committed. He told me my shoes would be ready on Friday (4 days from drop off) and he would give me call. He never called. I finally called him one week later and he said the shoes would be read tomorrow (8 days from drop off). A couple days later, I walk into the shop and he says «Oh the platforms! I put them aside the day you called and forgot about them». Don’t tell a customer that! He asked me to come back in 2 hours. I explained that I lived 30 minutes away and this was not convenient, so he asked me to go to the store, basically asking me to kill 2 hours until he can get them done. I drove to Starbucks and killed 2 hours. Again, this shop is out of the way, so there was nothing in the immediate vicinity. 2 hours later I drive back to the shop and it’s closed. I call from the parking lot and get voice mail. I leave an angry message and still no call. I call several times and still no return call. The next morning I called again and he said it was ready. He didn’t even acknowledge what had happened the day before. Not even so much as a sorry. 2 weeks, $ 65 and 3 trips later, I finally have my shoes. I am very happy with the way the shoes turned out, but it wasn’t easy getting here.

Excellent work! I brought my beloved vintage Tanino Crisci boots here to have some repair work done (I had a pet rabbit who made a snack out of part of the boot). RIP Bunnyman.
Anyways, I got the boots back promptly and perfectly repaired! And, the boots were polished and just basically made to look beautiful. What great work.
The work here is so good, I’ve been looking through my closet for forgotten pairs of shoes I can take in to be rejuvenated. Yay!

Always affordable and willing to provide great service. I have been using this business since 1993. I highly recommend this establishment. Don’t be deceived by the outside appearance. Need shoes or boots repaired when others have told you no? This is your place. How about a custom belt? This is your place!
