Jiffy Lube

Well, I must say, I had an oil change on a Sunday — discovered a leak on Monday, brought the car back — and it was repaired. Quite professionally I will add. I was impressed with the gentleman who did the work on the car — I watched him from outside the bay door. The skid plate, the underside — all cleaned up, no leaks. Really — I was impressed, and I thought it was going to be a hassle. I did request (prior-​to coming in) a discount and/​or a complete refund, and as I was leaving, I was told the district manager had that request and it was up to him what the outcome of that will be — so time will tell as far as that’s concerned — but, for the moment, I am happy with the way they resolved my issue as far as installing a new drain plug and making the repair.
This review goes up to 3 stars if/​when I get a refund/​discount for the inconvenience this caused.

Friendly people, but don’t drink out of the cooler. They fill the jug with water from the back. It’s not filtered water… Just straight out of the tap…

$ 80 to reset the sensors. .going in they told me they would charge nothing if there was no work. Never going back!
AUtozone parts store or AAMCO transmission shop they will pull the code for free and tell you why the light is on for no charge.
Learned an EXPENSIVE lesson!

I want to warn people to stay away from this and all Jiffy Lubes. They didn’t rip me off but they tried too. The only reason they weren’t able to do so is I work on my own cars but sometimes it’s convenient to let someone else do an oil change. Said I had a crack in the windshield that needed to be fixed for about $ 50. There wasn’t any crack. Then told me my radiator cap needed to be replaced as the cooling system pressure was wrong and a new cap would fix it for $ 20. I asked if they could rotate the tires, and when told it was $ 70, told them to forget it. Place doesn’t have a lift anyway to do it so I suspect they would just tell a person it was done and charge them.
I asked if they could replace the cabin air filter as that was on the maintenance schedule, they couldn’t find where it was located and left the glove box on the floor as they couldn’t figure out how to put it back. While there I put it back in seconds just before leaving.
BTW car passed next inspection and I have the same radiator cap.
My advise, go someplace else, noticed this co. has a lot of negative reviews too.

Well, I can’t say I wasn’t warned… I read others reviews while I was waiting to get my oil changed, and so I knew about the sales tactics and potential for rip-​off and got taken anyway. Before I get to that, why can’t I just get an oil change, why do I have to let them do a 10 minute inspection of the car to then tell me what products I would benefit from, I don’t go to my doctor for an Rx refill and get an EKG? So, after you get the «complimentary» inspection, you get bombarded with a computer screen of options that the tech/​manager? is zipping through, and I say no, no, not interested, etc., only to find out (once I’m home) and explaining why an oil change was $ 150 (after seeing the air filter and cabin air filter I let them replace them, although in hindsight, how do I really know they were mine and not some they just show customers, you can’t see what they’re doing), I noticed a charge for «engine treatment» that I most definitely did not request or agree to. I vaguely remember him saying «engine treatment» at some point, but I was not told a price or shown a screenshot, and they don’t give you a written estimate to sign or look at (like they do at a dealership), and at the end, you literally don’t get your receipt until the guy is opening your door and putting you in the car. Scam is a four-​letter word. I’ll be going to Wal-​Mart next time.

This is a lengthy review but I want to get my point across with concrete facts. If you don’t have time to read it, I just have to say avoid any Jiffy Lube at all costs. I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for the past six years with three different cars that I have owned. I have never had an issue and always recommended them to anyone I have met. However, you really experience customer service when an issue arises and how they handle it rather than when everything is hunky-​dory.
I went in on 5÷4÷2015 because my oil was low in the car despite having my oil changed two weeks prior at the same location. The gentlemen was nice, checked it for me, said it was «unusually low», and proceeded to add oil. He had his manager come and check to make sure everything was okay (which I thought was a bit odd for only having a top-​off but whatever). I drove off to 610, the main road, and as soon as I shifted into second gear my car struggled to drive and billows of white smoke was coming out of my tailpipe. I quickly pulled over in a parking lot and if the car was started tons of white smoke would come out of the tailpipe. It was not drivable at all. I had to call a tow truck and have it towed to a local mechanic shop, fearing it was a blown head gasket, whom I have trusted all my mechanical needs with.
The next day I went in to the shop to have my mechanic tell me that there was too much oil in my engine. They drained the oil and checked the engine to make sure no internal damage was done. My car was driving normal again. I immediately called the Jiffy Lube, spoke to a manager, and explained to him what happened. He, and I am not exaggerating at all, said «what do you want me to do?» That’s when I had to get a bit firm and told him because of their incompetency I had a $ 179.97 bill only because I went in for a simple top off. He then was a bit nicer and told me to bring in the bill and he would send it to corporate and see what we could do about it.
Next day I arrived at the Jiffy Lube only to wait there for ten minutes while they tried to «find» the manager who I spoke to (I gave them his name) to only be told he was gone for the day and that since I spoke to him only he could assist me. Bit ridiculous but I bit my tongue and said I would be back the next day. Of course I returned, met the manager, he took the invoice, and sent it to corporate. He told me someone would contact me within the week.
Nobody contacted me.
Unfortunately, I then had to leave town for a funeral, and wouldn’t return for the next two weeks. In those two weeks I never received a call or any sort of update. Once I returned I called several times to the location to be told that the manager wasn’t there. Once again I had to get a bit firm and one day finally reached him. He acted aloof and said he would send it again and someone would DEFINITELY call me.
I have yet to hear from someone about this. I am down $ 179.97 dollars. I have had to get rid of the car since then because of engine compression issues (2008 Mazda 3 with 77k miles, it was kept in great condition). And now I am just frustrated. If time would allow me I would be there every single day at the location demanding some sort of resolution. I meet a lot of people during the day and am bit of a car guy so people come to me with questions. I have always recommended going to this Jiffy Lube because of fast service and convenience. Never again will I recommend any Jiffy Lube to anyone I meet. I will make it a point to avoid any Jiffy Lube at all costs and with the amount of people I meet (because of my job) Jiffy Lube has not only lost one customer, they will lose hundreds. There is a Meineke down the road and several other oil change places off of 610. Go anywhere but here. Only go here if you want your car to get screwed up and receive no help afterwards.

It seemed to me they were trying to run up my bill. They kept adding extra services without telling me the price then when I tried to get them to remove some of them and only do what I requested they said they already started on some of the other stuff and i was stuck. They charge an extra $ 30 for tire rotation. Most places do that for free with an oil change.

Good place, nice and speedy. The staff is very friendly, has never seemed pushy to me. If you tell them you don’t want something they just say alright, unlike other places that try and get you to buy everything.
I gave 4 stars because when I pull up I ask them politely not to mess with my tire pressure. I run with my tires a few PSI over the number on the door sill. They always say «ok no problem» but then I always see them mess with the PSI. Not really a big deal though since Wawa right down the road has free air. Just a minor inconvenience.

Had a lot done on my jeep wrangler, oil change, tire roatation, fuel injection cleaned. Quick service and when I questioned a portion of my bill the manager removed the cost. Although I’m not sure why they add engine treatment for a car with 25k

I just received by far the best customer service in years! Who would’ve thought that it would be here. The cordial greeting, outstanding service, and courteous staff. I felt like I was at a 5 star hotel and even that is an understatement, exceptional employees!

Service is good and fast, oil changes seem to cost more here? Usually around $ 40… would give them 5 stars if not for the sketchy up sale tactics.

Some of the BEST service I have EVER had in my life! Staff was fast professional and went above and beyond with customer service. Upon arriving there was a worker waiting to take my truck. Suggested services prior to servicing my truck. Thoroughly explained all of these services and best of all these were only suggestions, no pushy sales. When I came back 30 min later to get my car they had it ready and waiting and knew who I was!!! (First time at this location) went over everything they did and the charges and I came out to a much cleaner vehicle then I originally left. I hands down will be getting all my services done here. Staff worked extremely well together, great environment and very very cleanly for a shop! Wonderful service!

Staff was very friendly. I was helped immediately. This was probably the shortest I’ve waited for an oil change. Great job!

Never visiting another Jiffy Lube again. Went in for basic oil @ filter change… Allow them to change expensive air filter but refused their other strongly suggested services. After leaving, started having severe issues with vehicle. Notice on receipt the next day that they made comments on issues with vehicle upon arrival (broken transmission dip stick, severe engine noises, etc…). I’m confident they messed with vehicle… Taking it to dealer to find out. BEWARE!

Quick service oil change for a decent price including topping up of fluids, vacuuming of interior, etc. And we had no wait. Couldn’t ask for more.

I’ve been using this location for oil changes in both of my vehicles for 13 months. I appreciate the discounts and the quick and friendly service!

I do get that you’re paying for the convenience of getting an oil change done quickly, but their pricing has gotten out of hand. My sister in law’s old Nissan Sentra has 190,000+ miles on the meter, she’s always taken it to the dealer for service, and now that I’m driving it, seeing the Pennzoil sticker on the windshield, I figured that’s what she would want. (She gets a kick out getting a text on the mileage update :) so there’s that, you know.)
So I’m also figuring I’ll go for their high-​mileage formula. But $ 66? When it only takes less than 3 quarts? Plus another $ 21 for the air filter??? But I had no choice knowing that it really needed it and this was my only chance before some hard miles to come.
(OK, I could have gone to Wally World and gotten the air filter myself. And after all, oil is oil so I could have gone with the standard stuff at $ 44. But it was raining cats and dogs, I was dead tired from work and, eh… they got me!)
But it will have to be some dire circumstances before I bring my hard-​earned cash back in here again.
Oh, and beware the schmoozey advice to top off your coolant for $ 3 extra… seems like that’s a common condition in cars coming through there…

I drive a BMW x5 and it takes a special filter to change my oil. I called ahead to a few places and chose jiffy lube despite their awful reputation. The man on the phone said they did have my filter and quoted me a price of $ 69.99 after asking a long series of questions about my vehicle. I arrived and another individual asked if I knew what all they do. Since it was my first time he explained all the fluids they’d check and that my car would be vaccumed (all part of their standard oil change) He then quoted me $ 89.99. I wanted to dispute that with the original price quote, but was much too excited about the vaccuming, I thought no big deal. They were aware that my mom was with me and we were going shopping and to lunch before returning to pick up my truck. When we came back, I noticed my baby was sitting out front (practically ON rt 610) with all 4 windows down and it was raining. I ran to the office and pay and was given the new total of $ 129.99. Wtf? «Why?!» I exclaimed in horror. He replied it was due to me needed special oil and a larger amount of oil than the standard. Ok I get it I’m a new beamer owner. And I know I have to pay the price. When I asked for my keys he said «yeah there in the ignition.» Oh they’re in the ignition of my unlocked truck with the windows down? He argued with me «why is it raining or something?» Of course it was raining. I just didn’t like the whole leaving my car out of view with keys in it. If you’re into grand theft auto just hang around this place. They make it easy. I give 3 stars bc they did do the job well. But they need to be on the same page and realize people’s cars are precious to them.
