Stopped by Visionworks today to see if they could fix my sunglasses that had lost a screw. Hector found a screw that fit and fixed my sunglasses in 5 minutes, free of charge. Thank you Hector @ Visionworks!

Just returned from picking up some new glasses at Visionworks. I found it very easy to get an appointment and was seen quickly when I went for the exam. After my exam, I chose my frames but did not feel pressured the purchase from them. The person who waited on my that day, Emily, did a great job and I love both of my choices (I did the BOGO deal). The person who helped me today, when I picked them up, Chris, was also very nice and helpful.
I also had to return for the glaucoma part of the exam since I needed a driver that day (I forgot that when I scheduled my initial visit. One suggestion might be to remind people of that when they schedule!). The young ladies who helped for that part of my visit were also very friendly, efficient and helpful — Megan and sorry, I did not get the other person’s name.
I had a very good experience here and would return and/​or recommend getting your eyes checked and glasses here!

I was the first person here and I had to wait 40 minutes to see the doctor. I only took an hour off work so this isn’t looking promising. I came here because it’s the cheapest but it’s really not worth it. Next year I’ll go somewhere that isn’t a chain. I can’t seem to find an eye place I like. Disappointed again. They should start implementing the pizza deliver policy… If they don’t see you in 30 minutes your appointment should be free! Also, there are 3 counters when you walk in. No one greets you are tells you where to sign in. To top it all off the computer system isn’t working so now I’m waiting for them to fix the issue so I can pay my bill… So sad since the doctor is so nice.
UPDATE: I just got my bill that they had to fax to me because their system was down and they charged me $ 60 for sample contacts! I’ve never been charged for samples before. Will NOT be buying my contacts here. Fail.

It is pretty easy to get an appointment here. I’m always surprised when I call and they have an opening for the next day. They even text you a reminder about your appointment.
There was one time that they texted me two times (2 p.m. and 3 p.m.) when I scheduled a 2:30 p.m. appointment. I figured that was the way they did half hours, but it turns out they thought they scheduled me for 3 p.m. When I showed up they still did their best to squeeze me in at 2:30 p.m. and I appreciated that.
I can’t remember the optometrist’s name (terrible I know), but there is only one there. I can’t overemphasize how super nice she is. I almost feel like she was trained to work with children, because usually people with her personality work with kids. Then again, her personality is good with old people too, and I’ve seen her treating them. Point it, if I had a child I would take them to see her.

Went in yesterday with my husband who likes to wear my (!) Versace sunglasses because of the gradient tint — it makes it easier for him to see the dashboard display in his car (polarized lenses make it impossible to see the readings, although I understand there is a new product that eliminates that problem). Anyway, he found a set of frames that looked good on him, so he moved on to choosing the lens. He/​we told the optical salesperson that we wanted exactly the same darkness level as is on my sunglasses. She showed the lab technician what we wanted (I saw her show them to him through the glass partition separating the store and the lab). We were told to return in a couple of hours and the new glasses would be ready.
Sadly, my husband went back only to find out that the glasses were ready, but they were NOT the correct darkness of tint… they were almost clear, with a slight tint. So, they told him they would need my glasses again so they could retry for a match. He hadn’t taken my glasses with him because he thought everything was all set. SO, we had to go back today and turn over my glasses so they could have them on hand for a darkness match as they processed the lenses. We’ve been waiting all afternoon for a call to pick them up, and it’s been 4 – 5 hours since we dropped off the glasses. I hope the glasses will be okay when they are ready, because — and here is the BEST part — the lenses and glasses came to a total of something like $ 365.00, but they are having a special until March 2014, and they are offering X percent off based on the age of the customer. My husband is 85, so he got an 85% discount, and ended up paying a little over $ 56.00 for the glasses.
I’d say it’s worth the wait!!!

The waiting here is interminible. There is no getting in and getting out quickly, no matter why you are here. They do have good prices on frames and the BOGO deal (especially for kids) is good. But dang, the service is SLOW. The people are friendly, once you wait 45 minutes (in a near empty store) to talk to someone.

I’ve used visionworks in the past and had a good experience. But they are a little pricy compared to optical outlets so I changed. What a mistake. Glasses may be Cheaper at optical outlests but terrible quality. My glasses from visionworks easily last 2 years, the cheap optical outlet pair were totally scratched up after less than a year. The doctor at visionworks is kind and patient. The staff was polite and helpful. I have always gotten the best and most accurate prescription from visionworks and what a difference it makes! They have a huge selection of frames and their sale prices are good. If its buy one pair get second free — its any frame or lenses not like some places that make you choose only the plastic old fashion granny frames for the sale price like at optical outlets. I will always go back to visionworks from now on, its worth the few extra $$ to get good quality
